Update on my shows

Hello again - another update for my blog here!
Last couple of weeks have been cool - including my 19th birthday (hooray!) and radio-wise, my shows seem to be going okay.
Getting into the swing of Guess the Intro, keeping with mainstream songs, but often they prove trickier to get than you would think!
Going to be starting the new Tuned In Puzzler soon, testing all you listeners out on a tricky quiz question or riddle, so listen out for that!
Had my course mate Andrew on one of my shows this week, on newspaper duty, reading out the best from the papers. I also had two of my great fellow Rare DJs, Kat, Sam and Steve, guesting on my show this week, attacking my choice in music of course but then again someone has to fly the flag for the mainstream, and that was me!
Songs I played included Usher - Caught Up, Eminem - Like Toy Soldiers and Jem - They. I like them but you can let me know what you think of this mainstream selection of music by leaving a message in my...

Last 2 Weeks of Shows

Well, I did 8 hours of shows last week - that IS a fair bit I tell you! But I think they generally went well - and on a show I did on Sunday, covering for two DJs, I even got a bit of a saucy e-mail from two girls listening in Paris - excellent!
The week before, I began my revamp of my shows. On Tuesday, I did my normal newspaper review, along with introducing some brand new features, such as Doubles - two songs you an request with special reason attached, and the Rare pair - an ambitious project aimed at getting two people to become friends or even a little bit more!
And on Wednesday, I began a new Winner Stays On feature - The Killers - Mr Brightside vs Keane - This is the Last Time - The Killers won, though only one vote was cast, but I stil played them at the end of the show.
This week, so far I did my Wednesday show from 3pm until 5pm, and I thought it went okay, bar a hiccup with a CD, but I played a new game - Guess the Intro, and there were some cool responses, with the winners...

Wednesday's Show

Show aired on Wednesday at 4pm-5pm (GMT) on www.rarefm.co.uk !
Much better than Tuesday's show - more energy, more fun to be had, and quite a few e-mails and texts too (which was nice!)
Quite a few requests were sent in, though couldn't play some because I didn't have them! Songs played of my choice include Green Day - Time of Your Life, United Nations - Out of Touch, Eric Prydz - Call on Me and Chumbawumba - Tubthumping.
Better show and nice to see that it was interactive too!

Tuesday 25/1/05 show

Blog open for new show - look out for my show highlights here!
And comment on anything I talked about in my show by writing in the guestbook .
Tuesday 11am-12.30pm (GMT) on www.rarefm.co.uk !
TUESDAY SHOW UPDATE!
(Finally) I get around to updating the blog - but anyway, the show did have quite a few technical hitches, and right in front of my studio guest, one of my course mates, who was a silent visitor. Once I sorted out the problems, with the mikes, the decks and the volume controls, I moved on to doing the show. Wasn't my greatest of shows; rifled through the enwspaper, but no story really inspired me, and didn;t have a lot of energy in my voice for the show. But, anyway, I picked myself up for Wednesday's show!
Tracks played include Michael Gray - The Weekend, Coldplay - Clocks and R Kelly - Ignition Remix.
