XX. World Youth Days in Cologne

by: abo2

The experiences at World youth day in Cologne were FANTASTIC!
I saw the pope, we have had a lot of fun together, but we also prayed a lot and celebrated together with 1 million people from 195 countries!
The highlight was the last weekend at "Marienfield" outside of Cologne. We decided to walk from cathedral to this field (about 30 kilometres) and were lucky, because all the busses were too full. So we arrived very early and got a good place. But in the night it was quite cold...
The last mass on Sunday we celebrated together with pope Benedikt, 600 bishops, 10.000 priests and more than 1.1 million people! It was the biggest mass in Germany.

Get some impressions, although they just can show a small part of all the experiences:

Seminar with cars at university

by: abo2

After watching the racing cars last weekend, I had got the practical training in cars at university. Together with Florian, Stefan and Katrin we tried to find out something about the car-technique by doing experiments. We tested a Mercedes S-Class with Adaptive Cruise Controll, a BMW with special brake-system and did some other interesting experiments.
More information about it you will find in picture-gallery and as special service you can download some video-clips (be careful with the size of it!):

German Racing Cars at Nürburg Grand Prix

by: abo2

Because of an invitation of JÖST Racing Team I visited the Race of German Racing Cars in Nürburg. It is a traditional race and so 112.000 people have seen it, even the weather was awful cold and wet. For me it was very interesting, because I got the possibility to be into the pit and see all the technique.
At the end, the race was quite successful. My favourite team AUDI won the race and their driver Ekström is leader of the championship now!
