back in Germany

by: abo2

The Monday in Dubai was quite good. I visited the city and it is really impressively, what they are going to build there. The highest building, the biggest skiing hall, the biggest man-made isle and a lot of very expensive villas and Skyscraper, of course! In the evening I walked through the old part of the town, where you could find older houses and people, who are living there in a traditional way...

My flight back was a little bit complicate, because they cancelled my flight with "Gulf Air" (I really can not recommend you this airline) and I had to fly by Air France via Paris. It was nice to have a stay at Paris Airport Charles de Gaulle, but at least we where in Frankfurt more than 3 hours later...

Enjoy the pics of my stay:

spontanious trip to Dubai (United Arabic Emirate, Middle East)

by: abo2

The company decided, that there is an important and URGENT task in Dubai. So, I booked the tickets on Wednesday to start my first trip to Middle East on Friday. After 9 hours flight (included plane change in Bahrain) I arrived on Saturday morning. After a short break in my hotel I met Mr. Peier and he showed me the problems our customers have got with our machines.  My task was to take pictures and document everything.

In the evening we were in a very good persian restaurant. This kind of food is also very tasty :-)

Today I visited a big shopping mall, wrote my report about the customer problems and was at the desert safari. It was great to drive by Jeep through the desert! After this fantastic experience I rode a camel and we had the BBQ with traditional food in the desert.

By the way, the temperature is quite good, 35 degrees and sun, of course :-)

Send you sunny greatings!!!

Habemus papam - Benedictus XVI.

by: abo2

Since today the catholic church has got a new pope. His name is Joseph Kardinal Ratzinger and he is now called "Benedict the 16th". I am really lucky about this election, because I know Kardinal Ratzinger since a private meeting in 1999 and I often agreed with his opinion. He is from Germany, but in my mind it doesn't matter, he will be the leader of the whole catholic church all over the world! I wish him all the best and God bless him!

automobile exhibition

by: abo2

Today Simon, Anja and me visited the automobile exhibition in technical museum in Mannheim. It was an interesting jorney in car history and we saw a lot of nice works of car art. Some of the "historical" exhibits we have known from real life in our childhood... Maybe we are too old already?!?

Look at the pictures:

Welcome to my diary!

beyond the information you can get at my website, I will write something about my daily life. Because of all my foreign friends, I decided to do this in English, but I think (and hope), everybody is able to understand it
If you like, you can write a comment...
