Hmph, here I be?

Mood: Blah
Listening to: Finch - Post Script

Hmph.  So, I'm here.  What else is new?  A lot's been up lately.  For one, I haven't been home.  Long story.  I'll make a later post a bit of a trace-back of the last three weeks, I'm sure it'll be of interest to someone.  If you're looking for a little more than that, I suggest you hop to my blog on myspace [ here ] and start at the beginning.   I wasn't on it much then, but yeah, it's there.  A lot of nice little fun facts about me can be found in that profile, too, I guess.

For the sake of those who are as lazy as I am, I'll spin off a few basics.  I am a sixteen year-old female, and I live in P'cola, in northwest Florida.  I live in an upstairs apartment near the busiest non-highway road in town.  [ Haha and sometimes have to cross it, O.O! ].  I live with my mother and her roommate, who is soon to be moving out.  [ I can't wait ].  I have a very limited, distant relationship with my mother, and prefer to keep it that way.  I'm not single, I have Jake, =P.  We've been going out for two months or more ... that's all I can be sure of; I can't remember when he asked me out.  My best friend is Aubrey, she's stuck by me the last two years through it all.  My skin is as white as a clean hospital pillowcase, though my heritage is mainly of Irish, along with a lot of French, Cherokee and a little British.

I have two cats and my mom's roommate has a spunky fourteen year-old yorkie named Maggie.  One of the cats is really my mom's friend's.  But she's moved somewhere where she can't have pets, so, I'm keeping him for her.  His name is Tigger and man is he fat ... though he has lost weight.  The other cat, Prince Sylvester, I found what will soon be three years ago.  He was about four months old, I found him the day after christmas in 2002.  His name is more simple than it sounds.  He looks a lot like Sylvester, from Sylvester & Tweety, and he walks around on his hind feet when certain Prince songs come on ... it looks like he's dancing, lol.  If I do eventually get to move in with my dad, I'll keep Princey and get a ferret.  I had to get rid of Pheobe, my last one.  They are just the coolest pets, =P.

I'm in a bit of a weird mood today, so weird, that I don't know how to describe it.  I dunno whether it's even negative or positive ... *shrug* I don't mind that much.  I got this fear factor folder the other day ... it has cockroaches all over it.  I still can't get my mother to touch it, lmao.  I haven't had ramen in who knows how long ... I'm a huge ramen addict.  My immunity to getting tired of it proves, says my mother, that my plan to move to Japan is quite attainable.  Whatever.  Japan effing rocks.  I'm going to take Japanese in college, and find a way to move to Kyoto.  Only a year and a half to go, right?  Well, not counting school, but still.  I wonder how much money is on this here walmart card o.O; lol.  I gotta remember to find that out.  Jake and I are going to the movies Saturday to see The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.

And the next weekend, we'll hit up SpringFest.  The line-up kind of sucks this year.  It can be found [ here ].  I'm still not sure which day to go, I only have a one-day ticket.  Ben's band, 60 Cycles Of Sound plays Friday ... I like their music a lot, but they only get a thirty minute block and it's during light hours.  On Saturday Papa Roach and Theory Of A Deadman are playing, one right after the other on the same stage.  Three hours of music, 9pm - midnight.  I saw TOAD at a split concert with Three Doors Down in 2003, since have become a fan, and Papa Roach has a lot of good songs -- never seen them in concert before.  I'm leaning toward Saturday because 60COS is a local band and does a lot of gigs here -- most of them an hour to an hour and a half long.  It's not every day we get two great bands back to back on the same stage anymore.  I wanna scrap up some cash to get some good merch -- I could use a new hoodie, maybe a hat or a necklace.  Concerts are great places to find those goodies.  Anyhoo, I may never forgive myself for missing the Metallica concert that was November 9th last year.  I was grounded ;-;!  That was the first concert they'd done in P'cola in fourteen bloody years!

Can ya tell I love concerts?  Lol, and that I love to headbang, xD.  Rock isn't my only genre of listening field -- I like everything.  Even some hiphip / rap, though I did not used to.  There'a  lot of pop I dislike, but I can't rule it out.  My dislike for r & b is growing, however, I mean, at least call it what it is.  It has nothing to do with rhythum and blues anymore.  Country, metal, punk [ the original anarchy in the uk scene ], techno, dance, pop-punk, j-rock, j-pop, grunge, oldies, anime music, emo, theme songs, even disco ... it's crazy.

I believe in the phrase, "If you don't know for sure what it is, don't call it that!"  Kind of fits for everything.  Two of them are things we see ... or hear, constantly.  Music and people.  I don't like labelling people, and try very hard not to judge them.  And with music, hey it's got to be put in a genre eventually, just make sure it's the right one.  Messing with scene kids is fun o.o; Most of the label-obssessors classify me as grunge-ish.

Yeah, that's all for now.  I must find some other way to manifest my boredom for a while.  Ttfn yous all.

~Shadow.
