Our world needs us

Mood: relieved
Listening to: greenday

Last week i was freaking out because i saw a programme about the effect of pollution on out envirement.

It was shit scarey.

Theres this thing called global dimness that scientists discovered recently and basically its caused by pollution and is doing harm but its also not allowing us to feel the full effects of global warming. hower global dimness is decreasing because of people reducing carbon dioxide emmisions etc so we're starting to see the full effects global warming for the first time ever. And its way worse then we first thought.

Anyway, it said that in 15 years time the damage will become irreparable and it will eventually result in the effects of global warming to the extreme, and it will just keep getting worse (even if we reduce at that stage the increase in temp. means more forest fires, more carbon dioxide etc etc) alot of the world will be totally uninhabitable and then who knows. anyway.

At first i was so upset. i even rand shane for consolation!

But then i was looking back through human history and our inate humman instinct to survive and i realised that things will be ok. Nothing is as bad as we first think. so i relaxed a bit.I'm just praying for a scientific breakthrough

I'm so stressed! I feel Pollys pain (read her bog, its shit cool, way better then this one www.pollypixie.blogspot.com)

Theres just not enough time to do anything anymore. and every moment is filled in where im doing something or should be doing something.

I suppose thats Leaving Cert Year for you. no1 said it would be easy.

Anyway. Christmas is just a few weeks away (yay!) which is wonderful seeing as i LOVE Christmas but you see right after it when we're back to school we're practically into our mocks and im just not ready! i need more time!

Anyway, soi thats one thing im freaking our about. I also do debating in school. its a way for me to express my deepset anger...lol no not really i just like arguing. Anyway we always get the shitty side to the debate. im not gonna say the motion cos then if my team mates google it this will come up and i like them but i dont want them reading this!

Anyway, what else has been going on? nothing much except i have to do lots of christmas shopping and studying.

Live long and prosper

TFE: hobbies,interests, wierd little ways...

Mood: Cold fingers, thats not really a mood though
Listening to: metallica-the black album

OK, so I've decided to compile a list of some of the basic things that we feckless embryos love. I have to put up individual profiles and anyone who might stumble across this blog can see which one of us, if any they're like, but I'll do that on my week off, too busy now!!!

So heres some of the basic stuff:

Music-usually alternative, rock, metal. But we're not snobby about music. You like what you like. We all basically love greenday, nirvana, placebo, weezer, foo fighters etc etc. me and Sky love metallica (NOT death metal!!!!!) And marie and maeve like alot of indie rock...breda does too alot of the time. We're alos into lots of bands that aren't taht well known, like kinesis (maeve got an email from the singer!)

Movies- all sorts comedys, blockbusters but we also love most if not all tim burton films, the likes of natural born killers, the crow, fear and loathing in las vegas (one of our favourites!) and all that less well known shit.

Having a good time- this is what the feckless embryos are all about! we have mad times together. planty of time in school is spent in complete stitches laughing and everyone thinks we're on drugs apparently cos we're "stoners" see we're also about experimentation...we tried hash out, alot, it was fun, we stopped.we didnt want it to get to be a problem. i strongly believe that you shouldtry stuff if you know for definite you're completely safe and then know when to stop. We'd never do anything seriously risky.

Smoking-all those dirty basterds do but me! I only ever smoke when I'm drunk, and i don't even do that much now. See I think that its a smelly, absolutely and completely pointless habit that may give you some relief when you start but will just cause a hell of alot more stress for you in the longrun. And you'll smell like a knacker that whole time. But don't tell them i told you any of this!!! (who am i talking? i don't know! maybe its my subconsious...ohhhh...deep!)

Being creative-Souxsie is the scientific one, whos very practical..but we need her or the balance would be totally fucked! shes still very creative though in her own way like how she makes scrapbooks for us and shes one of those really good at everything academic ppl. its kind of annoying. but we love her anyway. the rest of us love art and drawing etc and in maeves case drama too.

Doing what we feel like- best thing about TFE, we provide eachother with the support to stand up for what we believe in so that we don't have to do it all alone. e have our own group and i personally don't give a fuck if other people like us or not. We're honest and we won't spend time with people we don't like because its two faced. If your a friend of ours you can  be certain that we like you!!!

Hippys-i think theyre fucking great. the whole 60s things fascinates me.

food-we have our special TFE party food...vaul au vants ( can anyone spell that??!!!) sausage rolls, smarties etc

I'll have to add more to this list but thats it for now.

Dear Mr. Bush...

Mood: over opinionated
Listening to: tv from the sitting room

I think the way the Bush administration is dealing with the hurricane disaster is terrible. First of all it took him so long to actually do something about it and then his mother comes along and says that these people are better off seeing as they were so poor, moving to places like texas and chicago would be a step up. So she thinks its a good thing that these people have lost their homes and loved ones and are now relying on charity.

One thing that does bother me about all this is people saying why aren't we sending america money? The amout of people that died in America, the most powerful nation in the world and one of the richest is a mere fraction of the amount that die in third world countries who havent the money, resources, power or education to do anything about it. Maybe if George Bush got up of his arse and actually did something for New Orleans with the billions upon billions of dollars he has lying around the place then it wouldnt be such a problem. i think sending aid to America is ridiculous. If they really need money that badly maybe they could stop bombing iraq for a couple of weeks and maybe they'd scrape the funds together, seeing as those bombs don't come cheap. Or maybe President Bush could have 11 holidays this year instead of 12, so that a family might be housed and given enough money to get their lives back on track. What disgusted me the most was that i was watching TV the other day and i saw a programme about space investigation and years and years ago there was a study carried out where they recorded the sounds of space through satellites. Nothing really happened but then they picked up some static and there was no way to explain it. it lasted for something like 30seconds and then went deadly silent. since then they have spent millions recording and monitering this area and still havent heard aything else. The USA, the leaders of the world spent millions looking for "aliens".seriously though, why should we give money to a nation who just pisses away all of theirs
