Single Dads get the short end of the stick
I`m a single father with full custody of my son and have gotten the short end of the stick over and over.My son is 10 1/2 years old and it is a daily struggle to make ends meet everday.My son`s mother moved away to another state 2 1/2 years ago and left no information to where she was going. and pays absolutely no child support.She doesn`t work and as a result there is no way to contact her.I recently lost my job and have been struggling to get back on my feet.Its been very difficult making ends meet,buying clothes for him,paying the rent, the electric,gas etc.It seems the system is set up for single moms and doesn`t really help single dads.If anyone has any ideas or can help in anyway,it would be much appreciated.We don`t have cable,use food stamps.There should be more supports systems for fathers like myself,so networking would be easier.
