Growing Sims

I'm in the process of transferring most of my blog over to Wordpress.  I've already transferred posts referring to the Brokes.  I'm writing less about the Random family and they might just disappear off the blog world.  However, here's a very brief update on what's happening in Pleasantview.

Theophile Charvat's daughter, Lumiere, grew to a toddler.

Theophile is married to Valley Greenwood who comes from a family of (now) 9 - the Greenwoods are the new large family of Pleasantview, replacing the Randoms.  Valley's youngest sister (before twins were born) is River, seen here fast asleep in the family home.

I haven't written much about the Huntingdons.  Veronica is married to Beau (Broke) and their son, Parker, has just grown to school age.

Veronica and Cornelius' mother, Agatha, had a surprise late pregnancy and gave birth to a girl.  Her name is Beatrice and she's just grown to a toddler.

Cornelius breezed through uni studying Economics.  He wants to be a business tycoon and he probably will be.  He and Alexander Goth did not get on at all.  They were constantly picking on each other and fighting (only after they shared a rented house with Theophile Charvat).

Cornelius didn't find any women he liked or who liked him.  I imagine he'll stay a bachelor and concentrate on earning a fortune.  This is good because he's pretty damned ugly.

Meanwhile, his nephew, Parker, grew into a toddler.

Over at their parents' place, Agatha lost her job as a teacher aide.  While she was at work Giles got rid of two of the puppies, giving one to the Tinker guy and having one collected for adoption.  They were piddling everywhere and eating lots.  Giles is still as nutty as ever.  He saw a pup sleeping on the bed with his wife and just pointed and laughed.  Mad!

Mildred Huntingdon, who had been looking after the puppies and dogs much of the time, died age 67.

Whizzer, the foxie, howled for a long time after she left with the Grim Reaper.  The pups grew into dogs and looked like the father - beagles.

Giles plans to sell the pups but hasn't been able to find anyone to sell them to yet.

Giles and Agatha became grandparents.  Veronica gave birth to a boy - Parker.

Veronica's brother, Cornelius, meanwhile, was at university in the same dorm as Alexander Goth and Theophile Charvat.

He wants to become a business tycoon and is studying economics.

Alexander is studying physics and Theophile is studying literature.

Theophile started chatting up any blondes he could find.

Theophile has the Random nose (not obvious here but compared to his father).

Alexander missed his first exam and had to repeat a semester.  He had been too busy working on a skill and lost track of time.  By winter he'd grown a small goatee.

The Huntingdons have been neglected, so it was time to visit their three-storeyed house.  Two new family members have since arrived - a beagle called Windsor and a fox terrier called Whizzer which Agatha obtained from the local pet shop.  She had intended getting puppies but forgot.

Mildred and Giles hang around while Cornelius is on the phone.

Mildred enjoys the rose garden.

Giles eventually remembered to call the headmaster and he visited the next evening for dinner.  He ended up having some food outside with the gardener!

His visit went well anyway and Veronica and Cornelius were off to private school.

Some idiot (probably Giles) put the plate of pork chops on the floor and Windsor had a good feed...

only to spew it up.

Then it was Whizzer's turn.

Veronica finally moved to university and into Dirk Dreamer's dorm.

She met Lilith Pleasant outside...

and didn't think much of her.

Meanwhile Cornelius finally grew into a teen.

Giles is still as mad as ever.  He keeps pointing and laughing and everyone twirls their fingers.  Quite weird.

It appears that Veronica and Beau Broke have an interest in each other so watch this space...

Basically nothing.  I've been trying to get Jasmine to finish uni and she's finally in her senior year with Hiroshi in his Junior and Akiko a little behind him.  It's taking a while.

I've been over to the Huntingdon house but nothing much is happening there.  Giles is a bit nutty, I think.  He keeps pointing at people and laughing and the rest of the family are twirling their finger around to indicate he is.  Not sure what happened to him.  I worked on their garden a bit and installed a sunken rose garden and fountain.  I'm thinking of putting in a bridge over a pond.  I'll upload photos of the place when I'm done.

Cordelia will go to university (sigh) but they all missed a day of school and work and dropped a grade so they have to get their grades up again.  The boy (who's name escapes me for the moment) is expected to go to private school so he has to do better.

That's all for the moment.  I've got 3 movies to watch over the weekend so may not get much Simming done in the next few days.

I wanted a family that the headmaster wouldn't immediately reject on arriving at a modest house.  So I created the Huntingdon family - Giles and Agatha, who live with Giles' mother, Mildred, teenage daughter Veronica, and son Cornelius.  They've just moved into a large three-storyed house in Pleasantview.  Cornelius wants to go to a private school, so now we can invite the headmaster and offer him coffee or even salmon (once Agatha or Mildred's cooking skills are up to it).  Veronica has already been downtown in the sports car to buy a cellphone and an MP3 player.  A new pool has been installed and some trees planted at the back of the garden to screen off the lowly neighbours.  Cornelius has already been told off for turning up at the Random household!  Shocking.  The local hippies have popped round to say hi.  They're only slightly better than the Randoms.
