Growing Sims

Where to start?

Well, Lithia grew to toddlerhood.

She looks more like her mum, dammit.

Pierre continued to be a frequent visitor for Roxie.  He had the brilliant idea in his senile old age, that he'd like a more normal looking child.  His wife, Eva, had pixie tendencies which their children inherited (long upturned nose and pointy ears).  So he got Roxie pregnant.

Well you can see where this is going considering Roxie's past history as a parent...

The pregnancy was fine - no sickness or starvation or tiredness, but the unexpected happened.

Twins!  Considering Pierre was a twin it shouldn't have been such a surprise, but it was.  A boy and a girl - Antoine and Antoinette.  Oh shit.  The house had to be built on to accommodate three cots and some toys for Lithia.

Pierre helped out when he could when visiting,

but it was a bit of a nightmare.  Roxie did her best but wasn't too pleased that three kids were taking up all their time (with no time to invite gentlemen friends for some nookie).

While chaos was going on downstairs, a tragedy occurred upstairs.

Adrian Lewis had been visiting and having a soak in the tub but he got too close when it suddenly caught fire.  The firemen were called but it was too late for Adrian, who I couldn't control.  One-time boyfriend of Penny Collie, and husband of Mehrissa Landgraab IV, was dead and gone.

Lithia thankfully grew to school age.

The babies made it toddlerhood.

Pierre visited again, oblivious to the chaos.

While the women tried to get some much-needed sleep, the kids became neglected.

The inevitable happened.

All the kids were taken away.  Roxie was upset and suggested that Pierre adopt the twins.  Serena didn't seem concerned about Lithia at all.

Pierre went home and rang up the adoption agency and Antoine was delivered the next morning.  Towards the evening he rang up again to adopt Antoine's sister.

That evening, alas, the Grim Reaper visited.

"But I've just adopted my twins!!!"  Pierre was 74.  (It wasn't the platinum event it should have been.  Pierre's LTW of becoming a professional party guest had been changed when I installed Seasons but it was too late for Pierre to change careers.)  Emma and Eva were naturally upset.

The next morning Antoinette arrived.

It was left to Eva and Emma to look after the 'twins'.  (Of course, now Antoine was one day older than Antoinette.)

That night Eva was shocked to see the return of the Grim Reaper (although hers was a platinum event).

She followed Pierre to the grave at the (popular) age of 72.

What a bugger for Emma, now left alone to bring up her toddler siblings - and she a romance Sim who'd just lost one of her 5 lovers (Adrian Lewis).

And what of Lithia?  Time will tell.

More on the ''whorehouse".  Serena was Roxie's new flatmate and rival.

She was more to Damien's liking than the tarty Roxie.

While the pregnant Serene was at the front pashing Damien, Roxie was round the back of the house

getting it on with Pierre.

Any man is fair game to Roxie, even her own son, Artois.

Of course, because he was adopted by his father, Henri, there's no trace of a family link.  It's still rather disturbing though.

She's quite capable of getting pregnant by her own son and his offspring would be his sibling.  Ugh, shudder.  Let's not go there.

Serena had the baby - another girl for Damien.  He dropped by to see her.

Her name is Lithia.

I wonder if she'll look anything like her father (Damien's other two daughters don't).

Pierre was still not impressed with Serena's apparent betrayal and slapped her.

What an arsehole.

A while ago I had a brief update on Jan.  Her boyfriend, Greg Royce, had moved in.  Jan then got pregnant (fairly late in life).  She gave birth to a boy, who is now a toddler.  She called him Danny, naturally, after her father.

Jan and Greg aren't married.  I think he's a crook, and Jan's been promoted to Warhead Disarmer.   Jan will be an elder in a few days.

Jan had kicked out Jancine and her father's baby daughter.  She'd sold the bookshop and continued in her adventurer career.  But she was lonely.  She had no friends.  In desperation she called the gypsy woman and asked for a blind date.  She paid 3,000 simoleans.

Greg Royce fell from the sky and already seemed in love with her.  Almost immediately, Jan had her first kiss ever (nine days away from elderhood).

She did a lot of flirting, kissing and hugging and got very hot.

The blind date was a success.  The next day she invited Greg home and eventually he agreed to move in.

Jan is now pregnant.

It didn't take long, once I'd got Petunia to give up her job and buy a few more trees to make an orchard (only about 6 trees).  I kept mousing over the trees to see when the 'spray' or 'spray many' option came up and made her do it, no matter what she was in the middle of (sleeping, showering, etc).  Within two Sim days she changed into a Plant Sim.  It helped that it was summer at the time.

I moved her out and into another house in the neighbourhood which I then redesigned.  I replaced the roof with glasshouse walls and roof, with a tree growing up through the middle and a mezzanine floor.  I may take a pic next time. 

After rearranging the inside and out, neighbours visited.  She spread her happiness spores over them (so another Malcolm Landgraab and Gilbert Jacquet talked about kissing), then decided to shake her head and produce a baby plantsim called Salvia.

I hadn't done anything in Riverblossom Hills yet.  I had a browse and found the interesting house of the Plant Sim.  H has taken over that family though, so I thought I'd make one.  Haha.  Not so friggin' easy. 

I created Petunia Birchwood, a short-haired blonde woman and had her move into one of the houses - a one-bedroomed place which seemed perfect.  It had a fruit tree and a bit of room for planting veges.  She planted away, tended, etc and of course lost her tomato plants during the winter.  I'd read that the Sim has to keep spraying in order to become a plant sim.  The only trouble is the spray option doesn't come up too often and you can only spray once.  She's now halfway through her adult life, nearing elderhood and is nowhere near becoming a Plant Sim.  Her fridge is stocked with multiple goodies and the tree has borne fruit twice.

I had decided not to cheat moneywise but it appears this was a bad idea.  In order to spray a lot I need lots of plants and trees and the trees are expensive.  So I'll have to cheat for money, make a whole orchard, have her give up her job (which she needed for money) and keep trying.  I'll also need to get rid of the ladybug house which I only just installed so I get more bugs and need to spray. 

Her only other problem is lack of social contact.  I occasionally get her to call up the moustachioed Morty(?) and this seems to satisfy her.  I don't want anyone moving in though.

I'll keep trying but it was rather tedious last night and my shoulder got sore from using the mouse at an evidently stupid angle. 

I only hope the spray option comes up more often.  I'll have to get rid of winter too just in the short-term until I've succeeded.

Dan was getting on, and one of his last wishes was to have a party so he invited his son and daughter-in-law over along with others.

Daniel met his new half-sister but didn't take any interest.  Margaret, on the other hand, who wants more kids (after 6) took a lot of interest in it.

She fed it and picked it up when it cried.  No-one else cared.

Dan and Jancine shared the tub together.  Daniel looked on with some disgust.  Seems he didn't like Jancine.

The party was a success.  The next day Jasmine grew into a toddler.

She's not very attractive.  Meanwhile Jan got promoted to Dread Pirate.

Dan spent some time with his young daughter on his last day of life.

He died that evening, age 79.

That left Jan wondering what to do with Jancine and her daughter.  Even though Jasmine was her half sister, she didn't want them around.  The relationship between Jan and Jancine was 0.  There was no friendship there.  Jancine had been left 10,000 plus nearly 5,000 for the baby in the will.  Daniel and Jan had only got about 4,500.  Jan wasn't too impressed, so she turfed Jancine out and locked the doors.

They were both outside in their pyjamas.  It was summer, so they weren't likely to get cold.  But Jasmine was getting hungry and tired so Jancine decided to consult the paper left on the lawn and find a new place.

They moved into the house in which Jerome's parents had died and more recently, Jean-Paul Tuborg and Tracey (Malcolm Landgraab's oldest illegitimate daughter).  Jancine cleaned up inside while Jasmine waited, hungry and dirty.

So Jancine had been turfed out for a second time.  No knight in shining armour was there to rescue her this time.  Luckily there was a money tree there but when she harvested it it only gave her one simolean each time.  She'll have to actually get a job!

Once Jancine was gone, Jan sold the bookshop for about 83,000 and it was moved to Bluewater Village (it had been right next door).   The business didn't interest her - she wanted money.

Dan, it seemed, was good friends with Malcolm Landgraab IV's wife, Jancine.  They became more than good friends.

At age 75, Dan had found a new love.  When he found out Jancine had fallen pregnant he decided to retire from his business and focus on his new responsiblity.  He transferred ownership of his bookshop (now rank 7) to his daughter Jan.

Jancine gave birth to a girl and Dan suggested the name of Jasmine (after his long-deceased lover Jasmine Gregory).  Malcolm wasn't too pleased.  The story of Jancine's eviction from Malcolm's house is at the Landgraab blog.  When Dan heard that Jancine and his baby daughter were now living in a hovel, he invited Jancine over and proposed.

Jancine was happy to accept and moved in.  Dan brought his new daughter inside.

 

Dan and Jancine married without ceremony in the bedroom.

Dan's adult daughter, Jan, was asleep the whole time.  I wonder what she thought of the whole situation - having a new sister and a "stepmother" only a little older than herself.

Will Dan live long enough to see his fifth child grow?

I haven't done a great deal with Dan and his family.  Dan is unemployed but occasionally goes to his bookshop. 

 

His wife, Veronica, grew vegetables in the new greenhouse in her retirement,

 

and Jan got promoted a couple of times in the adventurer career. Here she is as a deepsea diver.

In winter, Jan made a snowman for the penguin to talk to.

Veronica didn't have much luck with her tomatoes so she planted a couple of cucumber plants which did well but she didn't live long enough to harvest them.

She was 72.

Jan immediately missed her but it took a while for the death to register with Dan. 

 

Dan later harvested the cucumbers. 

Dan is now 74, father to two surviving children and grandfather of 6 (update on them next). 

Dan's shop is now rank 6.

I had at least 5 students in dorms at Academie le Tour and more teenagers to arrive...  So it was time to deal with some of them.

Jan, son of Dan - I made her drop out and she joined her parents back home and even helped out in Dan's bookshop (now rank 5) until she got a career in the Adventurer field.  She's now a multiregional Sim of some question, whatever the hell that means.

JP's daughter, Monique was in the same dorm as Harriett Danaher.  Harriett studied Drama and Monique studied Philosophy.

It took me a whole day to get them from freshmen to graduation.  But then I did also make improvements to the library and student centre (previously boring) and added a skating rink to Academy Park.

There were a couple of invisibly black people in the dorm - a glitch?  There was no detail at all - just an outline.  They 'appeared' later.

Some of the students in the dorm have been there since Mellon Collie went there - people such as Erik Fairchild, Nicholas Baena and Greg and Luc Langerak (Luc, I found later from his memories, had inherited money from Mellon).  I'll aim to marry off some of them to get them out of their immortal lives at uni.

Monique loved the novelty that was snow (I just installed Seasons).

She and Harriett, between them, completed an evil snowman.

A penguin later talked to it.

Harriett and Monique took a turn on the newly installed ice skating rink.

They were becoming good friends.

Monique was also getting friendly with Greg Langerak and had her wish for a first kiss fulfilled.

Harriett, meanwhile, had her eye on Luc Langerak but he didn't seem that interested.  She was upset when he rejected her attempt at a first kiss.

Before she knew it, Monique found Greg on his knee.

Monique accepted. 

Monique and Harriett wanted to get their own place, so they moved out of the dorm and moved into separate flats on the same property that, with a bit of extra building, became linked with a communal room in the middle.  Once settled, the girls invited their fiance/boyfriend around and they moved in.

With a bit of persuasion, Harriett finally got her first kiss.

Harriett and Luc slept in the bedroom of what used to be one apartment and Monique and Greg took the other bedroom.

Luc's preferences in females was for hatted redheads, so we soon changed that to brunettes with makeup.  Before she knew it:

The Langerak boys don't appear to be related but, and this is the weird thing, on Greg's memories he has a bit before he met the girls, that Luc became part of the family.... Dunno.  Anyway we can pretend they're brothers or cousins because they certainly look alike (apart from hair colour).

Somehow summer got missed and before long it was winter again.  This time the girls took their fiances skating.

Finally the girls graduated.  They moved out and the boys dropped out and followed suit.

Monique and Greg are living in Gunther Bachman's old place (which before that was her father and grandfather's place) and Harriett and Luc are across the road in a new house.

That just leaves Guillaume and Victoria at Academie le Tour and I might just make them drop out.

 

Lakeesha Love and Jerome got engaged then ditched uni and both moved into her parents' house.

They married without any ceremony - why waste time and effort?

Jerome ditched his adopted Nator name and became Jerome Love.

They got to and starting upskilling (both have LTWs of maxing out skills).  Zaitrarrio joined in so he could gain a promotion.

Zaitrarrio finally got promoted to Criminal Mastermind, achieving his lifetime want.  He celebrated by calmly reading the paper in the bog.

 

I've decided to start a new blog for the Dreamers, Goths and Pleasants (Lilith et al).  Otherwise there are just too many families to try to keep up with on this blog.

So far the entries are a repeat of what's here, but I'll be updating further at that blog rather than here.

Dustin and Angela's story will probably stay here.

I knew there was a fake Bella Goth and I suspected she was the one in Strangetown but I tracked her down anyway.  One of my characters got to know her and tried to get friendly enough for her to move in and see if she had any memories or family.  This Bella (she didn't look like the real one anyway) was not very friendly.  My character didn't get anywhere with her so he introduced her to Lazlo Curious who happened to be there at the time.  Lazlo took over trying to seduce her enough to move in but she wasn't interested in him either.

So Lazlo introduced her to his nerdy brother, Pascal.  Wow, there was actually a spark there.  So Pascal ignored his alien son, Chiron, and seduced Bella Goth.  He got her to move in and discovered she had no memories and no family.  She was indeed the fake Bella.  As punishment, Pascal made her change into a boring tracksuit, change her hair and take off the makeup.  He married her against her wishes and she became Bella Curious so no-one could mistake her for the real Bella Goth again.  Hahaha.

The real Bella Goth is in fact dead, and can only be resurrected using SimPE.  So I won't be resurrecting the real Bella.  She can stay dead.

Actually you can resurrect her in Pleasantview.  Using a boolProp cheat you can bring her back through the life and death tombstone.  I read that she didn't actually die at her home, but at Don Lothario's so I tried the cheat there and sure enough she was back.  It was the real Bella with family connections and memories of Cassandra's recent wedding.  I moved her into a house on her own and planned to age her but she only lasted a few days before she died again (on another lot, it said), so I don't know whether she sticks around if you discover where in fact she died and bring her back to life there or whether, as I suspect, she just dies again after a few days, hence the SimPE program.

So ends the Bella Goth story.

Dirk Dreamer and Lilith Pleasant were in love and at some stage they'd got engaged.  So after Veronica left uni to marry Beau, Dirk decided to do the same to marry Lilith (university is such a bore).

Dirk moved in with the Pleasants and married Lilith in the backyard.  Angela, of course, was not invited.

The guests were a bit late...

Dirk's father, Darren, looks on.  Daniel Pleasant lusts after Tash in the blue dress.

Cake again.

Dirk Dreamer became Dirk Pleasant.  It seemed a pity for Pleasantview to lose the name Pleasant. (Lilith is pregnant already.)

Dirk's dad was now alone in his house and wanted to marry Cassandra Goth.  The only problem was, she was already engaged to Don Lothario (why? one asks).  So Darren couldn't propose to Cassandra until that engagement was broken off.

Don, meanwhile got caught out by his ex-lover, Kaylynn Langerak (now a heavily pregnant Kaylynn Random).

He was caught with Nina Caliente.

Kaylynn couldn't really expect to continue a relationship with Don?  Anyway, something similar had to happen to Cassandra so the engagement would be broken off.

Nina moved in with Don so there was ample opportunity.

Cassandra's a bit slow on the uptake.

Needless to say, they broke up.  Yay, now Darren was free to propose to Cassandra.

Cassandra accepted and Darren moved in with the Goths.

The same people are going to all these weddings.  There's Mary Pleasant and behind her Mildred and Veronica Huntingdon.  Beau at the front and behind her a local who was at Dirk's wedding and Mortimer looking very swish.  Standing are Dirk, Agatha Huntingdon and Charlotte Brannon walking away.

Darren's more traditionalist - he stayed Darren Dreamer and Cassandra Goth became Cassandra Dreamer.

After the wedding and honeymoon Darren got to know Cassandra's brother, Alexander.

A couple of days later Alexander turned into a teen.

Whatever happened to their mother?  The Bella Goth story next.

The Bachman's are no more.  Gretchen died, age 69.  I thought I had a pic but I couldn't find one.  She was a superstar in the sports career and was about to be promoted.  Oh well.

Gunther and Tristan weren't going to breed but as I was bored with them, I put them on fast forward and left them to it.  A fire started in the kitchen and as there was no fire alarm, they perished.  First Gunther and then Tristan.  The gravestones are at the back of the house.

The house is now empty.  It was first lived in by Raoul and Jean-Philippe Champignon before Raoul met Katelyn.  Leo and Gretchen moved in there and Gunther added a proper second storey to the house.  Dan and his bookshop are neighbours.  Dunno why I added that, but yeah anyway.

I've continued with Malcolm Landgraab IV over in Bluewater.  His story is over at Wordpress and the link is on the right.

[The only thing I don't like about Wordpress is that you view what you're writing in a little one inch slot which is like trying to read an illustrated book through a slit in a helmet - fucking annoying, but I guess I'll get used to it.... possibly.]

I don't know what category to put Gunther in.  His dad used to be married to Helen Collie so he was under Collie, but Gunther isn't related.  I think I'll let this branch die off anyway.

Gunther finally finished university.  I think he must have been unhappy after his dad died because he just didn't want to do his assignments or term papers.  He moved back in with his mother and added a top storey to the house so he could invite his fiancee back to live with them.  Oh yeah, he got engaged to Tristian Alioto. 

Here she is meeting Gunther's mother, Gretchen. 

Gunther's former bedroom had been turned into a sort of miscellaneous room - the punching bag was there as well as the hydroponic setup so there was no room for a bed.  Gunther had lots of money at uni because he got good grades and because of his inheritance so he spent it on expensive items which he then sold when he got back home.  That way they could afford to build upstairs and that's where G and T got married, overlooking the river, at 3.30am.

Neither Gunther or Tristan are interested in starting a family - yay!  So, yup, the Bachman family will die out.

I'll update on the Moles next but I won't be updating after that for a couple of weeks while I do more study!  Arrgghh.  Motivation is still low.  Hence the procrastination now!

I thought it was time to fast-forward Zaitrarrio's life as he was still fairly young and his ex-lover, Sharlene Collins/Collie was long dead.  He and his wife, Demi Love, had a daughter, Lakeesha, who is much darker than Z's son by Sharlene - Hogan.  Hogan was living with them and looking after Lakeesha occasionally.  Hogan wants to be mayor and is currently campaign manager.  Z was a police chief but his long-term ambition was to be a master criminal and he changed careers.  He's only just become a bank robber though.  Demi is now a freelance web designer but needs 14 friends to get a promotion.  I always find it hard to make and maintain friends.  Getting 10 was a struggle and it's already reduced to 9 again.  Lakeesha grew into a child.  Unfortunately I don't seem to have any pictures of her at all.  Meanwhile, for some unknown reason, Hogan grew to hate his father and step-mother.  Was he getting too friendly with Demi and reacted when they woohooed?  I have no idea.  I'll have to look back on his memories.  Anyway Z and Hogan kept fighting,

so it was time for Hogan to move out.  Shortly after, Z and Demi grew into elders (about time) and Lakeesha grew into a teen and has already brought home Dane Tuborg.  (No pics yet.)
