Growing Sims

Another experiment in Strangetown has ended.  The Baby Farm didn't last long.  The two women had 4 toddlers and 2 babies and just couldn't cope, even if they didn't go to work.  They were just too tired to look after them all and eventually one of the toddlers was starving (it's amazingly difficult to get a Sim to do what you want them to do when there are other toddlers in the way and narrow hallways, etc).  So the Social worker came and took them all away.  The house needed to be a better design rather than the cramped building it was.

I've created another ugly couple called the Moles.  I made them both ugly.  Ugly Mole is the man and he looks rather like Ugly Bastard but with more hair and a big moustache.  Silly Mole is his wife and she has a stupid simpering look on her face.  Their son, Stewpid, grew into a teen and went to college and is having a hard time finding a potential partner.  I haven't got pics to show.

I also have four new characters at the university.  Two men and two women who are black, white, red and brown.  I got the idea from "Good Omens"' four bikers of the apocalypse.  I stole a couple of names from there so I have Raven Sable and Albus Weiss and the two women I called Scarlett Blut and Henna (something).  I've only just created them so I can't remember the name of the last woman.  Raven has black hair and beard and wears black.  Albus is white and has fair hair and a white painted face. Scarlett, naturally, has red hair and wears red, and Henna is brown-skinned, brown haired and wears as close to brown as I could get with the default Sims clothes. 

I really need some new clothes but never find any good ones online.  I'd like better hair too but for males all I can find are Emo styles.  Very boring.

After dealing with the Randoms, I wanted to undertake a little experiment and have a truly random family of Sims - they'd do whatever they wanted and we'd see how long they lasted.  Not long as it turned out.

I made a random couple and called them Sloan and Kora Crud - he was a rather greasy-looking guy with dark glasses and Kora turned out to be an olive-skinned rather unattractive woman.  They had twin toddlers - Doug and Shantone.  Ghastly names.  I disliked them all immediately.  I put them in a small house in Strangetown - appropriate place I thought.  I left them to it and just for the fun of it had the couple trying for another baby. 

Well, it didn't take long before Shantone was left in the high chair screaming her head off, hungry.  Doug woke up as well, stinking and they cried and cried while their parents slept.  Who should turn up but the social services woman.  Not to be outdone, I set the scene again and removed all doors to the outside world.  This time Doug was left to sleep on the floor and Shantone was again screaming her head off, hungry.  The social services woman walked through the wall to retrieve both children.  I let her go - I can't compete with such powers. 

The parents cried briefly but then decided to have something to eat.  Without any cooking skills, it didn't take long before the oven caught fire.  I'd forgotten to put in a fire alarm and a phone so they couldn't call the fire brigade.  I watched helplessly (you can't purchase items once such a thing starts).  Sloan died in the fire and the fire consumed the whole kitchen - including the fridge.  So there was Kora, alone and pregnant and no food.  It didn't take long at all before she starved to death.  What a way to go - and all in less than a day.  Not a successful family at all.

That's enough experimentation I think.  Back to some control which is obviously much needed.  It didn't help that the Sims' God forgot to give them a phone.  Oops....
