Growing Sims

Damien had a plan.  The family home was being occupied by Melody Tinker but he wanted the house for his mistress, Serena.  He moved in, booted Melody out, and Serena moved in.  Damien then rang up to adopt Lithia and she arrived the next day. 

 

In the meantime Damien tried again for a boy with Serena.  Once she got pregnant he moved out again and back to Marla and the girls.  Serena and Lithia had the house to themselves.

Unfortunately for Damien, Serena had another girl (I've forgotten her name).

Where to start?

Well, Lithia grew to toddlerhood.

She looks more like her mum, dammit.

Pierre continued to be a frequent visitor for Roxie.  He had the brilliant idea in his senile old age, that he'd like a more normal looking child.  His wife, Eva, had pixie tendencies which their children inherited (long upturned nose and pointy ears).  So he got Roxie pregnant.

Well you can see where this is going considering Roxie's past history as a parent...

The pregnancy was fine - no sickness or starvation or tiredness, but the unexpected happened.

Twins!  Considering Pierre was a twin it shouldn't have been such a surprise, but it was.  A boy and a girl - Antoine and Antoinette.  Oh shit.  The house had to be built on to accommodate three cots and some toys for Lithia.

Pierre helped out when he could when visiting,

but it was a bit of a nightmare.  Roxie did her best but wasn't too pleased that three kids were taking up all their time (with no time to invite gentlemen friends for some nookie).

While chaos was going on downstairs, a tragedy occurred upstairs.

Adrian Lewis had been visiting and having a soak in the tub but he got too close when it suddenly caught fire.  The firemen were called but it was too late for Adrian, who I couldn't control.  One-time boyfriend of Penny Collie, and husband of Mehrissa Landgraab IV, was dead and gone.

Lithia thankfully grew to school age.

The babies made it toddlerhood.

Pierre visited again, oblivious to the chaos.

While the women tried to get some much-needed sleep, the kids became neglected.

The inevitable happened.

All the kids were taken away.  Roxie was upset and suggested that Pierre adopt the twins.  Serena didn't seem concerned about Lithia at all.

Pierre went home and rang up the adoption agency and Antoine was delivered the next morning.  Towards the evening he rang up again to adopt Antoine's sister.

That evening, alas, the Grim Reaper visited.

"But I've just adopted my twins!!!"  Pierre was 74.  (It wasn't the platinum event it should have been.  Pierre's LTW of becoming a professional party guest had been changed when I installed Seasons but it was too late for Pierre to change careers.)  Emma and Eva were naturally upset.

The next morning Antoinette arrived.

It was left to Eva and Emma to look after the 'twins'.  (Of course, now Antoine was one day older than Antoinette.)

That night Eva was shocked to see the return of the Grim Reaper (although hers was a platinum event).

She followed Pierre to the grave at the (popular) age of 72.

What a bugger for Emma, now left alone to bring up her toddler siblings - and she a romance Sim who'd just lost one of her 5 lovers (Adrian Lewis).

And what of Lithia?  Time will tell.

Robin moved in and made some changes to the property.  She had the high maintenance flower garden at the front of the house replaced by rose bushes and sculptures.  She had some hedges replaced by maintenance-free conifers.  She redecorated the children's room and made some changes to the kitchen with the recently constructed door to a new patio moved.

Amelie turned up without warning and fed her son.  She stared at Robin who studiously ignored her.

Alex found her in the house and asked her to leave before he invited wedding guests for his (third) wedding party.  His father, Jeremy, had made all the friends, so Alex had few to choose from.  Pierre and Philippe Champignon came, as well as Robin's ex-inlaws, Daniel and Margaret Collie, and finally Alex's sister, Victoria.  It was an autumn wedding.

Robin actually used the garden bridge to get to the kitchen.

Mikhail grew to a toddler just after the wedding.

He looks like his mother.  Alexis, now school age, must have wondered what it would all mean.

Robin missed out on the honeymoon because the kids would have been left alone.  However, she made up for it when Alex got back and promptly got pregnant.

More on the ''whorehouse".  Serena was Roxie's new flatmate and rival.

She was more to Damien's liking than the tarty Roxie.

While the pregnant Serene was at the front pashing Damien, Roxie was round the back of the house

getting it on with Pierre.

Any man is fair game to Roxie, even her own son, Artois.

Of course, because he was adopted by his father, Henri, there's no trace of a family link.  It's still rather disturbing though.

She's quite capable of getting pregnant by her own son and his offspring would be his sibling.  Ugh, shudder.  Let's not go there.

Serena had the baby - another girl for Damien.  He dropped by to see her.

Her name is Lithia.

I wonder if she'll look anything like her father (Damien's other two daughters don't).

Pierre was still not impressed with Serena's apparent betrayal and slapped her.

What an arsehole.

Alex had met Robin a couple of times including at her place.

They'd got to know each other quite well but had yet to have a proper date. 

So Alex rang Robin and they went on a date to P.U.R.E.  After a soak in the tub they danced.

They kissed.

In short, they had a dream date.  But Robin didn't want to let this moment pass.  This guy was rich and available.  Why waste any more time?

Alex was shocked but accepted.  (After all he needed someone to look after his young kids.)

As Robin left, Alex had to go and sit down to recover from the shock. 

Kenny, one-time vampire, died, age (you guessed it) 72.

Melody's only just reached 60 I think so she's still got a long way to go.  Daughter, Lyrica, is at uni.  I won't bother updating on them after this.

Damien, rather sick of wife, Marla, ringing up Alex all the time, as well as having two daughters that look like their mother, decided to visit Roxie's place where a ravishing new flatmate had just moved in (Serena deMarr).  Such was the attraction between them that within minutes they were in bed together.  After only a day Serena had become pregnant.  

Roxie hates Serena because Serena finds it all too easy to attract Roxie's "clients".  Pierre fell in love with her but Pierre is now upset with Serena for flirting with Damien.  More on those two later perhaps (I didn't take any pics).

Hogan, son of the long deceased Sharlene, has finally achieved his LTW of becoming Mayor.

His wife, also a mayor, now wants to be a business tycoon, which is all good - after all you can't have two mayors I don't reckon.

Finally over to Daniel's who I haven't written about for some time.  He achieved his LTW of maxing out all 7 skills.  His daughter Dana had a son called Jess (after his father Jessie Greaves, who ran off with Robin Collie).  Deon, over at the green house, now has two rather unattractive daughters (the "Helen" gene is still strong).

Lena, now school age, is being held here by Uncle Sean (married to Margareta).

The second pregnancy resulted in another daughter, now a toddler.

She looks like a boy.  On hearing he had another daughter Deon said "fuck  it" (Ok, I did).  So her name is Fukita.  Third time lucky perhaps (Angel is, reluctantly, pregnant again.)

Margareta's daughter, Shona, takes after her mother and looks normal, thankfully.  She's in this pic below, taken at Harriett's.  These kids are all cousins.

Shona is the blonde on the left and the red-head is Alexis.  They're third cousins. 

In the red dress is Mairead, daughter of Kane, and the dark-haired girl is Harriett's daughter Briony.  They're first cousins.  Alexis and the other two are second cousins.  Looks like I need to alter some hairstyles.

 

Francois died, age 72. 

He'd just been on the phone.  Perhaps it was the shock of hearing that his daughter had split up with Alex and moved in with Kane.  Naturally Katya was upset.  She's now in a big house on her own.

72 seems to be a popular age to die lately.  Pierre has managed to get past that magic number and reached 73.  Pierre has reached his LTW of Professional Party Guest (just like his mother).  About time, I think.  He's been seen visiting Roxie Sharpe's place.  More on Roxie and her new flatmate at a later date.

Over at Henri's, Erina still believes she's pregnant and refuses to go to work, even though she's an elder.  I made her retire, silly old bag.  I think she and her actual daughter, Stella, are just a wee bit insane - they love going up and down the lift and I hear 'bing' 'bing' 'bing' 'bing' as they can't make up their minds what the hell they're doing or where they're going.

Nothing much happening at Monique's.  Just a family pic to finish with.

The middle child, Jacques, is in bed asleep.

Part 1 - Kane

Amelie was angry at Kane for actually sleeping with his wife(!), but they eventually made up.  They had a lame date at the Love Maze but then Kane invited Amelie home (while his wife and kids were home) and actually asked Amelie on a date then and there.  Kane's daughter, Mairead, witnessed it.

Kane sent her off to play but she came back.

Mairead was not happy with her father.  Siobhan was in bed at this point - she was tired after just having given birth to a baby boy (Seamus) the day before.  But she woke up,

and came running out when she realised what was happening in the spa pool.  She wasn't too impressed either.

After a good slapping, Siobhan attended to the children and Amelie left.

The next day Siobhan made a decision.

Kane was given his marching orders.  (Lightning struck just as I took the pic - which is why it's so bright.)  Mairead was still upset that her father left, even though she'd been angry with him.

 

Kane left and moved into a tiny square house by the sea in Bluewater.

Part 2 - Amelie

Alex was cuddling his baby son when he looked out the window and saw Amelie and Kane canoodling at the front gate and ran out.

Kane, at least, was happy.  Alex and Amelie fought.

The whole time the baby was on the ground crying with dirty nappies.  However, Alex took no time at all to make his decision.  It was all the evidence he needed to get rid of a cheating wife.

Amelie sobbed pitifully and left.  She moved in with Kane in the little hovel by the sea.

Alex is now free to get to know Robin better.

Nothing much happening but Victoria's family of two boys are growing.  Reefer's gone to uni and looks very much like his dad, Guillaume and grand-dad, Francois.

His little brother, Peyote, was upset to see his father flirting with a workmate.

Victoria didn't seem concerned at her father's death at all.

Francois is nearing the end of his life.  Pierre and the rest have a little way to go.  Emma is flirting with every guy she meets.

Over to Henri's.  Erina never did have the baby she kept saying she was having and grew into an elder on the same day as Henri (no pic).  Stella moved back home and looked after toddler, Hollandia, when she wasn't out being a bagman.  I don't think I took a pic of Hollandia after she grew to school age.  Artois is at uni.

At Monique's, the family of three boys are growing.  Eldest, Jean, is now a teen.

Youngest, Gerard, grew from toddler:

Monique's LTW is to have three children graduate - damn.

Not very interesting posts, I have to admit.  I was concentrating on Alex for a while but like to keep the others' ages relative so do quick updates on them all.  Otherwise I forget.  I might just concentrate on one or two families in future.  If you have a favourite - let me know!

Amelie gave birth to a boy and called him Mikhail.  She was relieved - she didn't want to have another kid.  She seems bored and wants to go out with Kane.

Jeremy managed to see his latest grandson just before he died, age 73.  That night the ghost of his mother had scared him as if in warning.

Alex was upset but no-one else. (I turned the sun on so it's visible)

Alex is aware of Amelie cheating, but he's met Robin Collie (ex-wife of now deceased Leon Collie) and fancies her.  Watch this space.

Edward died age 72.

Richard, naturally, didn't really care.

Nor did Kane.  Kane's wife, Siobhan, is heavily pregnant with the second child.  First child, Mairead, is now school age.

Kane continues to meet Amelie (Lillard) on the sly. 

 

Kane was promoted to dread pirate.

Harriett's family are growing up.

Caitlyn grew to teenhood (above) while the twins grew to school age.

Their father, Luc, has been promoted to GP.

I realised, after referring readers of the last entry to the Kent family, that I hadn't actually updated for a while.  That's because I haven't actually done much with any of them.

Robert went to uni and was in the same dorm as Teri.  So here are a couple of pics:

Teri was going out with Johnny Random who died in a freak fire.  No other boyfriends on the horizon and Robert doesn't appear to have a girlfriend either.  More on the family when I've actually played more.  I tend to get bored playing the Sims at university (which is why I make most of them drop out).

I decided, after playing a couple of Sim days of the Random family, that I really wasn't interested in playing most of them.  Terence and his family of six kids were tedious to play with and all the kids look the same.  It's another generation of that Random face - dark hair, wide eyes, flat nose - not attractive at all and they were virtually clones of each other.

 

So, after taking a family photo

I killed them off.  Lynette had gone to uni so she was spared, but Terence and the remaining five kids (the toddler, Catheter, had just grown to school age and the twin boys were teens) drowned in a newly built swimming pool.  Kaylynn managed to set fire to the kitchen by herself so I just got her a bit closer and she burned to death. 

I also killed off Charlotte Random who was on her own and just waiting for death, basically.  She starved to death.  Candida's son, Cardio, went to uni and returned and is now living with his father, Ted Trimble.  He has the wide-eyed Random face with the more pointy-nose variation so I might kill him off as well (this is Cardio at uni, talking to Rob's son, Robert [see Kent]).

Connor's daughter, Carine, has gone to uni.  She looked ok as a kid but she looks rather masculine as a student.  Not sure what to do with her yet.  I'll spare Connor and Carla, and Carla's pregnant just days away from becoming an elder.

I'll also spare Hortensia and Cleve.  They are now grandparents.  Theophile and his wife, Valley, now have a daughter called Lumiere.  That's about all that's left of the large family of Winette and Gordon and their 10 children.
