Growing Sims

Poor old Jean-Philippe never did get the time to make more friends for another promotion.  He'd worked hard on the skills and was now too grumpy to take the elixir of life.  His time had run out.  He was about to have a meal when the Grim Reaper followed him into the kitchen.

He was only 69.  Heidi went lala and I could've sworn I took a pic but I can't find it.

Shortly afterwards Sonique met the same fate just after she came back home from work.

It's a bit dark - I don't think there was any outside lighting.  Sonique was 72.  They were the last of the first Sims I made.

That left Sonique's son, Dane, alone in the house but I didn't like him anyway and after fast-forwarding his life for a while, took the fridge away and he starved.

Over the road his half-brother, Jean-Paul lived with Tracey Nator (daughter of Stacey Landgraab).  I didn't really want to do anything with them either so had Tracey light a barbecue in the house.  She died in the fire (finishing what Extermy didn't start).  Jean-Paul lived but I took his fridge away as well.  I didn't want to play him at all.  So Sonique's family is gone.

I guess I'll have to go back to all the students at university again - sigh.  It takes too long.  I'll just have to fast-forward most of it and even then it takes ages.

I got Roxie to move out of Academie le Tour and into Veronaville so Henri could visit her more easily (and to help in my cunning plan).  Henri wanted a son but Erina didn't want to be pregnant again - she wanted to concentrate on career.  So, to get pregnant, Roxie had to be in Veronaville.  Sure enough she got pregnant and had a boy (conveniently).  His name's Artois.  Henri visited to see his baby son.

Unfortunately, on one of his visits, Henri discovered that Roxie hadn't changed her ways.  She had just been woohooing with lover number 5 when Henri caught them at it.

Some obligatory slapping was in order.

and a desire to beat up the lover...

There was a fight, naturally...

which Henri won.

But that was pretty much it for the relationship between Henri and Roxie (for the second time). 

Artois grew into a toddler pretty quickly.

But Roxie's not the most motherly of women.

Roxie ignored the kid for over a day, so the social worker came and took Artois away.

When Henri heard about that, he applied for adoption.

Erina welcomed the, now long-haired, boy with open arms, little knowing that the boy was her husband's real son.

In the meantime, Stella had quickly grown into school-age.

She will look like her mum.

First a couple of pics of Katya who reminds me of Franka Potente.

I made her hair pink just for comparison.  Katya didn't like it but I'll change it later.

Francois grew into an elder.

Amelie grew into a teen.

She doesn't look much different.  This means, of course, that I'd better work on all the Sims at Academie le Tour.  Damn.

Being Francois' twin, naturally Pierre got old as well.

Next, the saga of Henri and Roxie.

Raoul's widow, Maddie, died age 74.

She was mourned by her daughter, Eva, and granddaughter, Emma.

A day or so later, Emma grew into school age.

Even though she had learned to walk, talk and be potty trained AND have a couple of logic skills she grew up badly (cos she was in a bad mood at the time???).

Her brother Philippe, grew up about a day later.

Over at Francois's, Guillaume went off to uni to be with his girlfriend, Victoria Lillard.

His parents worked toward promotion and Amelie was nearly taken away by the social worker for not doing her homework.   Well, she was actually, but I didn't save it and came back and made the bitch do her homework.  Watching kids TV made her happier than playing computer games.

"Hey, she's still here".  I don't think you can see Amelie's eyes but they're a scary blue.

Or they were scary when I took the pic but they don't show up.

Katya grew into an elder and looks remarkably like Franke Potente (German actress).

Perhaps not in this photo but at other times she did.  She needs a visit to a clothes shop.

Heading over to Jean-Philippe's, he was promoted from Leading Man to Blockbuster Director.  Making and keeping enough friends is a pain in the arse, and he has to make more for the next promotion.

The effort must have got to him because he went on a date with old flame, the now widowed Sonique.

They woohooed in the car before ending the dream date.

JP and Heidi visited Henri and Erina, where their granddaughter, Stella, had just grown into a toddler.

Heidi cuddled the kid while JP joined the others outside.

Henri, perhaps sick of changing nappies, etc, took a leaf out of his father's book and went on a date with ex-girlfriend Roxie Sharp.

They'd woohooed in the photo booth.  Seems like he's still in love with her.

Roxie came by the next day but Erina shooed her off.

Will JP and his son be found out by their wives?  Will they continue having an affair?  Who knows?  I don't.  Yet.

Life was still chaotic for Daniel, with complaining kids, and toddlers and babies who needed food and nappy changes. 

Leon fights with his twin, Dana and also the older Helena.  Shana, the toddler, is relatively placid but just doesn't get enough attention.

Daniel appears to be asking for divine intervention.

He sat like that for ages, then finally came out of his trance and got up.

I never realised there was a size difference between male and female twins?

At last the day came for Shana and the twin babies to grow up.  First Shana:

None of the kids grow up well.

Then the babies grew up, eventually:

Deon above.  The adults just about starve waiting for the friggin babies to change (even with a cake).

Margareta.

Finally a baby that's not a clone of their grandmother, Helen Collie!!!  At least Margaret got one child that looks reasonably like her!

The next day, Helena grew up.

Not quite as ugly as she was - bit of makeup and she's marriageable.  Hopefully the rest of the kids will grow into nicer teens but I'm not hoping much.

I plan to marry the kids off as soon as possible to achieve Margaret's lifetime want.

Not sure if I posted this pic before - probably - Denny holding his nephew - he stood there for ages with it.

Anyway the baby, Zen, grew into a toddler and he doesn't appear to have any cheek deformities.

Hogan, who lives with Darlene, had his very first kiss (when he's 11 days away from being an elder).

She's a townie called Crystal something.

The nanny didn't show up one morning at Darlene's when they went to work, even though Darlene rang up before to check there was a schedule - so Darlene had to ring again to get a nanny to come in and she drove to work.  Bearing that in mind, Denny did the same, and ended up with two nannies:

Twice as much trouble!  Both, of course, collected numerous bottles of milk for toddler Len.

Len ended up surrounded by 4 bottles of milk.  Their work done, the nannies watched tele, or something.

Denny's wife, Emily, was fed up with the pokey little house that his dad had lived in, so she demanded they move.

They moved across the river to a house overlooking the river, and around the corner from cousin Daniel's place.

The layout is almost identical to a house that Penny grew up in.

Over to Kenny's who we haven't visited in a long time, Damien finally grew into a teen.

(Pierre Champignon was visiting at the time.)

He looks suitably vampirish.  I made him a knowledge sim but wonder if I should change that to a romance one.

Next, the chaotic household of Daniel Collie.

Penny Danaher finally became an elder.

Here she is dealing with all those pesky phone calls - thanks to Edward's ambitions.  He got promoted to Business Tycoon - at the top of his career.  Unfortunately that wasn't his LTW.

The twins grew into teens.  First Kane.

Over at Devon Lillard's place, Jeremy also got a promotion - to medical researcher.

Daughter, Victoria, went off to university just before Alex grew into a teen.

He looks like his dad.

Lakeesha Love and Jerome got engaged then ditched uni and both moved into her parents' house.

They married without any ceremony - why waste time and effort?

Jerome ditched his adopted Nator name and became Jerome Love.

They got to and starting upskilling (both have LTWs of maxing out skills).  Zaitrarrio joined in so he could gain a promotion.

Zaitrarrio finally got promoted to Criminal Mastermind, achieving his lifetime want.  He celebrated by calmly reading the paper in the bog.

I've decided to start a new blog for the Dreamers, Goths and Pleasants (Lilith et al).  Otherwise there are just too many families to try to keep up with on this blog.

So far the entries are a repeat of what's here, but I'll be updating further at that blog rather than here.

Dustin and Angela's story will probably stay here.

I knew there was a fake Bella Goth and I suspected she was the one in Strangetown but I tracked her down anyway.  One of my characters got to know her and tried to get friendly enough for her to move in and see if she had any memories or family.  This Bella (she didn't look like the real one anyway) was not very friendly.  My character didn't get anywhere with her so he introduced her to Lazlo Curious who happened to be there at the time.  Lazlo took over trying to seduce her enough to move in but she wasn't interested in him either.

So Lazlo introduced her to his nerdy brother, Pascal.  Wow, there was actually a spark there.  So Pascal ignored his alien son, Chiron, and seduced Bella Goth.  He got her to move in and discovered she had no memories and no family.  She was indeed the fake Bella.  As punishment, Pascal made her change into a boring tracksuit, change her hair and take off the makeup.  He married her against her wishes and she became Bella Curious so no-one could mistake her for the real Bella Goth again.  Hahaha.

The real Bella Goth is in fact dead, and can only be resurrected using SimPE.  So I won't be resurrecting the real Bella.  She can stay dead.

Actually you can resurrect her in Pleasantview.  Using a boolProp cheat you can bring her back through the life and death tombstone.  I read that she didn't actually die at her home, but at Don Lothario's so I tried the cheat there and sure enough she was back.  It was the real Bella with family connections and memories of Cassandra's recent wedding.  I moved her into a house on her own and planned to age her but she only lasted a few days before she died again (on another lot, it said), so I don't know whether she sticks around if you discover where in fact she died and bring her back to life there or whether, as I suspect, she just dies again after a few days, hence the SimPE program.

So ends the Bella Goth story.

Dirk Dreamer and Lilith Pleasant were in love and at some stage they'd got engaged.  So after Veronica left uni to marry Beau, Dirk decided to do the same to marry Lilith (university is such a bore).

Dirk moved in with the Pleasants and married Lilith in the backyard.  Angela, of course, was not invited.

The guests were a bit late...

Dirk's father, Darren, looks on.  Daniel Pleasant lusts after Tash in the blue dress.

Cake again.

Dirk Dreamer became Dirk Pleasant.  It seemed a pity for Pleasantview to lose the name Pleasant. (Lilith is pregnant already.)

Dirk's dad was now alone in his house and wanted to marry Cassandra Goth.  The only problem was, she was already engaged to Don Lothario (why? one asks).  So Darren couldn't propose to Cassandra until that engagement was broken off.

Don, meanwhile got caught out by his ex-lover, Kaylynn Langerak (now a heavily pregnant Kaylynn Random).

He was caught with Nina Caliente.

Kaylynn couldn't really expect to continue a relationship with Don?  Anyway, something similar had to happen to Cassandra so the engagement would be broken off.

Nina moved in with Don so there was ample opportunity.

Cassandra's a bit slow on the uptake.

Needless to say, they broke up.  Yay, now Darren was free to propose to Cassandra.

Cassandra accepted and Darren moved in with the Goths.

The same people are going to all these weddings.  There's Mary Pleasant and behind her Mildred and Veronica Huntingdon.  Beau at the front and behind her a local who was at Dirk's wedding and Mortimer looking very swish.  Standing are Dirk, Agatha Huntingdon and Charlotte Brannon walking away.

Darren's more traditionalist - he stayed Darren Dreamer and Cassandra Goth became Cassandra Dreamer.

After the wedding and honeymoon Darren got to know Cassandra's brother, Alexander.

A couple of days later Alexander turned into a teen.

Whatever happened to their mother?  The Bella Goth story next.

Sorry about these brief updates.  I've had the tendency lately to play a couple of Sims days for each branch of a family.  That's the trouble when a family breaks up and goes different ways.

Starting with the youngest, Candida:

Ted and Candida finally got married, even though each of them want to date others.

Tyler, meanwhile met with an unfortunate accident...

Tyler is no more.

Over at Connor's, he spent some time playing with Carine.

Carine seems like she might become a Knowledge Sim.

At Terence's, Lynette grew into a school-age child.

The twin babies as you can see in Lynette's picture, grew into toddlers.

Terry above, and Gordy below.

Gordy is a pain in the arse.  As a baby he did nothing but cry even though he got more attention than Terry.  I wonder if he'll be the same as a toddler.

They never interract with each other though.  I've seen pics of toddlers fighting over a toy or something but that's never happened with any of my toddlers.  They basically ignore each other like the other doesn't exist.

One night when everyone was asleep and Lynette was just reading a book, Ted Trimble just walked into the house and started playing a game.

Next - Charlotte.  She had a birthday party to celebrate her turning into an elder.  She invited the whole family but only her two remaining brothers turned up plus Josh McTavish and a friend.

The party was a disaster even though everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.  Never mind - she and Willy celebrated in the spa later.

Willy tried playing with Johnny but there's still very little relationship between them.

Nothing much happening at Enid's.  She got promoted to Animal Linguist.  Josh still has his watery affliction at home only.

At Hortensia's, Theophile got friendly with new neighbour Brook Greenwood.

But just after she left he grew into a teen.

The Bachman's are no more.  Gretchen died, age 69.  I thought I had a pic but I couldn't find one.  She was a superstar in the sports career and was about to be promoted.  Oh well.

Gunther and Tristan weren't going to breed but as I was bored with them, I put them on fast forward and left them to it.  A fire started in the kitchen and as there was no fire alarm, they perished.  First Gunther and then Tristan.  The gravestones are at the back of the house.

The house is now empty.  It was first lived in by Raoul and Jean-Philippe Champignon before Raoul met Katelyn.  Leo and Gretchen moved in there and Gunther added a proper second storey to the house.  Dan and his bookshop are neighbours.  Dunno why I added that, but yeah anyway.

As you know from the previous post, Victoria Lillard is going steady with Guillaume Champignon.

Harriett Danaher went to college.  Her mother, Penny, is one day away from elderhood.

Denny's baby son, Len, grew into a toddler.  As predicted, the cheek deformity was inherited.

Oh dear, there are some ugly Collies.  Talking of which...

Over at Daniel's, the kids had grown but it was still chaotic.

Why do twins always fight?

Margaret had another set of twins - Deon and Margareta.  No pics - you see one baby you've seen them all.

At Pierre's, toddler Emma learned to walk and talk.

At Jean-Philippe's, Monique moved to college.  Henri and Erina had a daughter and called her Stella.

Guillaume and Victoria Lillard sneaked out together.  They had a date the following night.

They are now 'going steady'.

Dane Tuborg finally became an adult.

He grew up badly cos he was a lazy bastard and never did anything and nobody gave him what he wanted.

The homework had piled up...

Just after Dane grew up, Heinrich died, age 72.

Sonique was devastated.

Meanwhile, Tracey Landgraab from Bluewater village had moved in with Jean-Paul after dropping out of college.  There are no sparks between them yet.  Ironically, Tracey is now living in the house that Jerome was born in.  (Tracey and Jerome's story is here.)

While on the subject of Jerome, he and Lakeesha Love are in the same dorm as Jan (daughter of Dan).

They both had their first kiss.

I followed the lives of the Randoms for two of their days and here is an update, starting with the oldest.

At Enid and Josh's.  Josh still has his watery affliction but when he goes to other lots he doesn't.  He took Dina Caliente on a date and they had a good one at Crypt-o-night.  Enid is old and haggard looking so Josh may go on more dates.  She has that ghastly complaining old people's voice which is enough to put anyone off.  Enid was promoted to Rogue Botanist.  Maggie invited Josh over to meet his (now school-age) daughter, Megan.

You can't see Megan's face but to me she looks Scottish...!  Renaud had to move out of Maggie's tiny apartment so Megan could have a bed.  Megan's nanny is just as useless as all the others.  Megan and Maggie were asleep when the fire alarm went off.  Maggie rushed downstairs to see the nanny just standing there stupidly with her back to the fire (which she'd caused).  She just watched Maggie panic.  Stupid old bags.  I'd love to kill them off..... (hmmm).

Hortensia (I think I've been calling her Hortense all this time), being Enid's twin, is also old.

Theophile is about to be a teenager.

At Charlotte's - nothing much happening there.  Willy is getting to know his son and Johnny doesn't seem to like him much. 

At Terence's Kaylynn is pregnant again.  The twin babies will be toddlers shortly.  Henry's gravestone was sold off - one less ghost to scare the children.

At Connor's Carine grew into a child.

Nothing happening at Tyler's either.  I'm getting bored of him and will just let him fast forward to death, I think.

At Candida and Ted's they had a bad infestation of cockroaches - inside the house as well as outside.  The exterminator actually came this time - seems they'll only come and do it if there are cockroaches inside the house.

Nice - sitting in puddles in the toilet - what a great place to hear a story - not.

Candida's daughter by Mike Kent, Michaela, grew into a toddler.  She doesn't look too pretty.

Next an update on the Broke family.

I've continued with Malcolm Landgraab IV over in Bluewater.  His story is over at Wordpress and the link is on the right.
