Growing Sims

Victoria finally grew into a teen.

She has her father's long chin too.  She took the car out and went on the town all night, going to bars, restaurants, shops, and spent up large.

She had her first kiss with Guillaume Champignon,

and she'd barely been a teen for 24 hours.

Harriett was visiting when Victoria was flirting with Guillaume and she got ignored.  She went home, depressed and decided to change her look.

Unfortunately there aren't suitable 'goth' clothes but that would be the way she'd go.

Harriett's brother, Richard, is her father's favourite.  Kane seems happy enough amusing himself.

Emily had the baby - a boy called Len.  I forgot I was going to call it Denim (DENny and EMily).  Oh well.  Emily hates cuddling the baby.

She gets this slouch every time I direct her to cuddle it, like "oh god, do I have to?"  I'm sure she wants to be back at work.  Denny's left all the baby-caring to her so far.  I think he looked at it once.  Not the proudest of parents.

Darlene waddled around heavily pregnant.

It's like she's waiting for Hogan to turn around "'ere, feel ma baby".  What's the bet the baby inherits that ugly cheek deformity.

Oops, guess who's.  It was a boy and she called it Zen.

What a cushy job...  She's the most useless nanny I've encountered so far.  She later had a leisurely bath and ignored everyone.

Oh look, family time.

Poor Margaret.  All the kids are going to look like their grandmother Helen.

The twins grew up - thank god.

Dana - the only kid who looks ok.

Leon, who apparently still expects attention.  Notice the nanny reading the paper again.  Useless old bag.

The baby, Shana, grew into a toddler and oh dear...

Helen's genes are strong.  How is Margaret going to marry them off?  Poor Margaret.  Notice she's pregnant again.  Is there any hope of having better looking sprogs in the next batch?

I don't know what category to put Gunther in.  His dad used to be married to Helen Collie so he was under Collie, but Gunther isn't related.  I think I'll let this branch die off anyway.

Gunther finally finished university.  I think he must have been unhappy after his dad died because he just didn't want to do his assignments or term papers.  He moved back in with his mother and added a top storey to the house so he could invite his fiancee back to live with them.  Oh yeah, he got engaged to Tristian Alioto. 

Here she is meeting Gunther's mother, Gretchen. 

Gunther's former bedroom had been turned into a sort of miscellaneous room - the punching bag was there as well as the hydroponic setup so there was no room for a bed.  Gunther had lots of money at uni because he got good grades and because of his inheritance so he spent it on expensive items which he then sold when he got back home.  That way they could afford to build upstairs and that's where G and T got married, overlooking the river, at 3.30am.

Neither Gunther or Tristan are interested in starting a family - yay!  So, yup, the Bachman family will die out.

I'll update on the Moles next but I won't be updating after that for a couple of weeks while I do more study!  Arrgghh.  Motivation is still low.  Hence the procrastination now!

Starting with Penny, Harriett grew into a teen.  She looks rather like her mother at the same age (almost the same pose).

Over at Devon's the pesky gardener ghost was still around and even went into the fridge.

I finally tracked down the headstone near a hedge and got rid of it.  One of the family ghosts must have scared her to death.  Victoria is one day away from becoming a teen.

Over at Darlene's.  Oh dear, she's pregnant - guess who's.  Denny's new wife, Emily, is also pregnant.

At Daniel's, the twin babies grew into toddlers.

Margaret was pregnant again.  She was constantly tired and hungry so didn't interact much with the toddlers.  It was a bit hard going.  Daniel hired a nanny to help but she was TOTALLY useless.  For example, all three toddlers were very tired and needed to be put to bed, but what does the nanny do?  She brings bottles of milk up to them - even when they're asleep on the floor and there's already an un-drunk bottle there!!!

Idiot!  Then she proceeds to stand in the nursery and wee on the floor.

Then off she went to the shower but she didn't clean up her mess or put any of the kids to bed.  Fucking useless bitch.  I think Daniel and Margaret finally put them to bed although just after putting one in the cot he took it out again, the pillock. 

I think the picture above is Daniel still waiting for Leon to turn into a toddler.  I should've got the cake out but Dana didn't need it.

Chaos.  Thankfully Helena grew into a child.

But then child number four was born - a girl - Shana.

Two more kids to come... Sigh.

Leo Bachman reached the top of his career and became professional party guest.  Unfortunately he died very soon after, but it was a platinum occasion.  He was sent off with a drink and a suitcase to swaying hula girls at age 74 while Gretchen was still sleeping.

Another platinum death happened at Raoul's house (his house no longer). 

Poor old Raoul - the last of the first generation.  He died aged 80.  Philippe immediately started crying and Maddie went crazy. 

Pierre cried much later.  Even baby Emma registered her grandfather's death.  It seems a much smaller family now.

Emma grew into a toddler and oops - has the same pixie features that Philippe did. 

She quickly got a makeover with longer hair to cover the giveaway ears.

Jean-Philippe is getting older and at only 64 is nearing the end of his life.  Heidi, at the same age, has a while to go.  J-P got promoted to leading man and voted the sexiest.  He's not too bad looking for his age. 

Unfortunately his long-term want was to have 50 first dates and that's not gonna happen.  He nearly went on a date with Sonique but still hasn't.

Over at Sonique's they bought a guitar and Heinrich got into it. 

Dane got some rough treatment from Jean-Paul.

Jean-Paul finally grew into an adult and moved out. 

He wasn't happy but hey - not every kid can go to university (why do they all want to go?).  Dane won't be going either so he still has another 7 days of teenhood.  I guess I could send him off and then make him drop out - it would be much quicker.  But he'll have the house to himself soon anyway.

I forgot, before leaving Pleasantview to visit the Veronaville residents, to report that Rob and Sinead finally got hitched.

Sinead obviously accepted Rob's proposal.  They had a small ceremony out the back.

Only three people turned up for the party afterwards but Rob and Steve enjoyed getting high together.

The party was after not during because Rob has lovers who might have got jealous and there might have been a bit of slapping going on. 

Rob finally got promoted past the embarrassing commercial actor level.

Yay, he didn't have to wear that ridiculous getup any longer.

Johnny was a naughty little toddler - he got into the dogfood,

ate it and threw it in the air.

Litle monkey.  But he grew into a child soon enough but I don't have pics!  Next time.

Charlotte invited Willy round, feeling sorry for him.  Cyd sussed out was happening and moved out with Porthos (who'd just got a promotion).

Porthos off to work in the cute little car.

Charlotte asked Willy to move in.  He did, of course.  They then got married.

Willy could now get to know his son and perhaps find some peace.

Over at Terence's house, Lynette grew into a toddler and Terence taught her to talk.

Kaylynn gave birth - to twin boys.

Gordy and Terry named after their grandfather and father.

Nothing much happening with the rest of the Random family.

That's all from Pleasantview for now.  A new family has moved into where Connor's shack used to be.  They bulldozed it and made a new house.

They are the Greenwoods - a couple and 6 kids.  Space is tight but the teens will move out shortly.

From left Starlight, Forest, Herne, Gaia, Brook, Glen, Moonrise and Valley - yeah modern day hippies you could call them.  I probably won't blog about them cos I won't be playing them much unless I'm bored with the rest.

Just a brief entry to show a weird thing that happened to Josh (Enid's husband).  He was in the shower (which needed repair) and I got him to repair it after he had his shower but when he walked out - he was now the leaking one, not the shower.

Whatever his hands did, the water followed, spraying in arcs - even when hugging Enid.

I wonder if it will go away at all or stay with him to his death?

Josh's daughter, Megan (by his lover Maggie), grew into a toddler (actually I think by now she's a child but I don't have pics).  Here she is dancing next to Renaud Fancey.

Not the clearest of pics.  Sometimes I can get close and other times I can't - don't ask me why.  Renaud will have to move out as it's only a one-bedroomed apartment and Megan needs his bed.

Coming up, another update on the Randoms - babies grow and more are born.

Darlene and Denny looked set to live together to old age.  However, Denny got his new girlfriend Emily Pons to move in.

It was at breakfast, in fact, (or was it lunch?) that Denny popped the question,

which she accepted.

Darlene moved out (and moved in with half-brother, Hogan, into their old family home!)

Denny phoned guests that very day and some of them turned up - only one cousin though - Devon, with husband, Jeremy.

Denny was friends with Maddie so she came too and brought old Raoul.  Denny had always had a good relationship with Hogan so he was among the guests.  But so was his father, Zaitrarrio, who is now an elder.

The wedding was in the garden.  The only thing to eat was cake but the wedding party went well.

Jeremy danced to music inside the house the whole time.

People chatted and ate cake afterwards.

Raoul spoke to no-one.  He sat on the couch by himself for most of the party and just looked straight ahead or at people passing.

Denny and Hogan had a pillow fight.

The nose obviously came from their mother, Sharlene.  But no amount of facial hair could hide Denny's unfortunate cheek deformity.

Over at Darlene's old place, she and Hogan, who had never got on well, still weren't.

But something rather disturbing happened.  Darlene had fallen in love with Hogan's father, her mother's ex-lover...

Umm, what if she had Z's kid? - she would be the mother of her half-brother's sibling.... Ugh!

Before I start on the Randoms I had to start with something random - while at Devon's I saw a ghost with a hat floating around out of the corner of my eye and then, when I found it, realised it was a gardener.

How? Who?  Had the Lillard's gardener died on the property?  Did the gardener work late and get scared to death by a ghost and become a ghost herself?  Come to think of it, the place is looking a bit overgrown.  To make things even more confusing her name was Meredith Lillard.  A bizarre coincidence?  The Lillards hadn't lived there before Victor moved in.  So a total ?.

OK, where to start.  I'll start with Charlotte.  Her son Johnny is a pretty ugly kid close up but anyway, he learned to walk.  

Cyd and Charlotte finally made it to the bedroom and woohooed.

Terence and Kaylynn became parents of a girl they named Lynette.

Now there were two babies in the house.  (That's Mike Kent visiting, after he'd just been woohooing with Candida.  Terence is about to feed Cardio).  Cardio grew into a toddler.  Here he is with auntie Kaylynn.

Kaylynn immediately got pregnant again. Terence suggested that Candida and her son move out because he and Kaylynn are going to need the space – Kaylynn wants 6 kids at least.

Ted Trimble had moved into a house and left Brooke outside, which is where she stayed until she was picked up by the social worker.

Ted was busy chatting up one of the Caliente sisters...  Once Brooke was gone, Candida was free to move in without fear of losing her son.  So, Candida finally left the family home and moved in with Ted.

Nanny problems extended to Connor's house.  Here's the nanny busy at work...

Carine grew into a toddler when the nanny was around.

She looked like a boy so Carla went shopping for some girly clothes for her.  I'm also sick of the default panda suit on all the toddlers. 

Carla gave up her job as a bookie and looked for an opening in the medical career.

Tyler paid $5000 to the gypsy woman for a decent blind date. The trouble is it was Cara Newman who’s living with Mike Kent and has two kids. If that’s the gypsy’s idea of an ideal date, she’s feckin’ useless. So Tyler tried again, paying half that and got some local townie he’s seen around anyway. What a waste of money. The date was only “okay” and when Tyler tried calling her she was always at work (thieving).

Coming up, a visit to the Moles house in Strangetown. Be warned, it's not pretty. 

I couldn't sleep and instead kept coming up with names for new families.  So I got up and played Sims.  I'll have an update on some of the Randoms later when I've got pics.  I ran out of time (ironically) to upload them.

I have ideas for three houses but where and who?  One of them I'll have for the four coloured people at Strangetown's university if I ever get them through.  University is not my favourite place to play.  Then, as I said, I have ideas for names for different themes.  I don't have many families in Strangetown - perhaps I'll delete the ones I have, who are boring, and start again.  I'll keep the Ugly Moles for now.  Stewpid got kicked out of university and is yet to move back in with mummy and daddy.  He really is ugly.

Anyway I'll update on the Randoms later - a randup!  But wondering who to play next?  Who shall I play?

So to the cousins of Penny and Devon.

Nothing happening with Darlene - she doesn't want to get married or have kids.  She's a rookie in her sports career.  Denny is an intern and has started dating the local cop, Emily Pons - more cops in the family (his parents were cops, Hogan's dad was a cop and his uncle Ken was a cop too).  Emily caught a robber at the house who stole Darlene's exercise machine.

Over at Kenny's place, Damien grew into a school-age kid:

I think he has green eyes.  Kenny's had problems with the nanny too - not turning up, so he missed a day of work.

Then over to Daniel's where he had an invisible baby sling:

"Look, no hands!"

Helena grew into a toddler:

Oh dear.  She looks just like her grandmother unfortunately.  Margaret got pregnant again as you can see.

She had twins in the kitchen:

A boy and girl - Leon and Dana.

Margaret wants to marry off 6 kids so there'll be more babies...

And now over to Devon at Capp Manor.  Alex grew into a toddler.

He was a clever little bugger.  He figured out how to get out of the cot - only the second toddler to do so in my game.  First the side goes down.

Devon didn't work so she had more time to devote to looking after Alex and Victoria.  Alex learned to walk and talk but didn't quite get potty trained.

Having learned to walk he was off to see the fish, just like his sister before him.

So Alex grew up well.

He has his father's long chin.

It was time to catch up with Penny.  She and Edward were having a hard time going to work, trying to increase skills and look after demanding kids.  I don't know how Others did it bringing up 6 toddlers at once.

Kane found his way outside to play with the wolves.

Meanwhile Harriett was close to being taken away because I couldn't see where she'd put her homework.  Eventually I found her putting it on the footpath on the very edge of the property!  I was looking within the fenceline not outside it!  Stupid bitch.  Anyway, got her finishing her homework in time so she wasn't taken away.  But she was bored even watching TV.

Penny meanwhile had a play with her career reward - a chocolate/candy maker.

Finally it was time for the boys to grow up.

Neither of the parents had time to teach the boys enough walking and talking so they grew up badly.

Harriett still has a few days before she's a teenager.  Here they all are (except Penny at work) having some sorta sloshy meal.

Henri invited Roxie to his new house and tried to get her to move in so they could marry but the 'propose' option just wasn't showing up on any of her visits.  Could she already be engaged to someone else?  In any case, Henri found out about another lover and broke off the engagement.  Roxie was a little shocked.

I think Henri's parents were secretly pleased.

So Henri, who had been looking forward to a wedding and a family, was without a bride.  Not to worry - a new person had moved to the neighbourhood - Erina Speight.

Another attractive blonde but more marriageable (she's into families) - so it was no trouble for Henri to fall in love with her.  She moved straight in anyway as a flatmate.

Erina even brought up the subject of engagement so it was no problem to get hitched.

So the wedding was on.  Henri introduced his new fiancee to his mother just before the wedding!

Unlike Roxie, Erina wants lots of babies...

I recently saw a blog of Sims 2 which had a family tree with pictures of 4 generations of the Broke family.  I thought that was a good idea to help figure out who's who.  I might do that when families reach 4 generations.  So the first family to do that with will be the Collies.  I'm not sure if this blog will have the space to do it.  But I'll experiment and see.  It won't be for a while.  First I have to collect individual photos of each of the family members and crop them. 

Anyway, back to the Sims characters.  Henri part two coming soon.

Henri met a student he took to immediately - a pretty blonde called Roxie Sharpe.  What he didn't know was that she had a bit of history on the campus. 

But he fell in love...

He had his first woohoo with her on the roof of the dorm.

He was so smitten he asked her to marry him - she'd make beautiful children, he figured.  She accepted but, at the same time, didn't want to get engaged...

Notice freshman, Gunther Bachman's reaction in the background.  He's pretty disgusted.

Gunther (son of Leo), meanwhile, had fallen for Tristen Alioto and wanted to kiss her, but she turned him down.

Gunther was devastated and cried.  He decided to stop seeing her for a while and change his looks, growing dreads and a beard.

But he was depressed.

Henri grew a beard as well.

Henri finally finished university with a degree in Economics.  He invited family round for his graduation party and thought it would be a good time to introduce his fiancee, Roxie, to his family.

His uncle Pierre can definitely see the attraction.

And so could Daniel Collie.

Hmm, she was definitely a man-magnet which could be trouble...

Henri, oblivious, introduced Roxie to his mother.

But Monique didn't really take to her.

After the graduation party, Henri moved to a little green house on a corner, on the Capp Manor side of the river, ready to invite his fiancee over to live with him and have a big wedding.

Will Henri find out about Roxie's many lovers?  Will he go ahead with the marriage?  Will she go ahead with the marriage?  Will she have Henri's babies?  Will she dump him?  Will she cheat on him?  Stay tuned for part two.

A brief entry to mention Monique, Jean-Philippe's daughter, growing from a child to a teen before chronicling the saga of her brother, Henri, and his love life.
