Growing Sims

The Huntingdons have been neglected, so it was time to visit their three-storeyed house.  Two new family members have since arrived - a beagle called Windsor and a fox terrier called Whizzer which Agatha obtained from the local pet shop.  She had intended getting puppies but forgot.

Meet Windsor, and Whizzer who's looking at Veronica hopefully getting some food for her.

Giles eventually remembered to call the headmaster and he visited the next evening for dinner.  He ended up having some food outside with the gardener!

His visit went well anyway and Veronica and Cornelius were off to private school.

Some idiot (probably Giles) put the plate of pork chops on the floor and Windsor had a good feed...

only to spew it up.

Then it was Whizzer's turn.

Veronica finally moved to university and into Dirk Dreamer's dorm.

She met Lilith Pleasant outside...

and didn't think much of her.

Meanwhile Cornelius finally grew into a teen.

Giles is still as mad as ever.  He keeps pointing and laughing and everyone twirls their fingers.  Quite weird.

It appears that Veronica and Beau Broke have an interest in each other so watch this space...

You may remember Tyler was happy that Melissa moved in.  Well all his brothers and sisters seem to have married or had kids so it was time to marry him off and maybe start a family.  Tyler proposed in the bathroom.

Tyler didn't bother inviting friends or family to a wedding so they just got married outside by the spa pool.

Tyler's happiness was short-lived however.

While preparing something to eat, Melissa was hassled by Nigel's ghost.  It put her off her food so she was close to starving.  She then had something to eat and was about to go to bed (after falling asleep at the table) when Nigel scared her again and she died of fright.

Tyler tried pleading with the Grim Reaper but it was too late.  His new wife, a restauranteur, was gone.

Tyler has a couple of options.  Kieran could move back in or he could get friendlier with a blonde woman he knows.  Tyler's sister, Candida, suggests that the house is cursed - four deaths in the house (with one resurrection).  Well, that's what I imagine she said when talking about ghosts to Tyler. 

Tyler's other option is to send the graves to a cemetery to prevent Nigel hassling anyone else.  Good idea, I think.

Terence and Candida didn't have partners.  But I looked at their relationships and discovered that Candida had a friend called Ted Trimble so there was potential on the horizon.  Meanwhile, Terence had no luck looking through the telescope to be abducted.  The only female that was a possibility was the maid, Kaylyn Langerak, who was the same maid having an affair with Don Lothario and Daniel Pleasant.

Candida invited Ted round and he eventually moved in.

Terence, meanwhile, flirted with the maid.

So brother and sister had success at last.

Ted and Candida tried for a baby and Candida got pregnant.  However, neither Ted nor Candida wanted to marry each other.  So it didn't look like the baby would be a Trimble.

Terence finally got Kaylyn to move in and accept his proposal.  But she was now out of a job.  Ted was also unemployed when he moved in but he got a job as a dishwasher.

Kaylyn went clothes shopping after moving in (since she only had her maid uniform to wear) and planned the formal clothing for the wedding.

The wedding was held the next day and Kaylyn invited Terence's family (except Connor).

Sitting in front of the heavily pregnant Candida is a dark-skinned toddler with blonde hair.  It's Ted's adopted daughter, Brooke.  For some reason he rang the adoption agency and they didn't double-check to see if he was sure he wanted a child (or he would have said no).  The toddler was delivered on the morning of the wedding.  She largely remained ignored and had nowhere to sleep except on the floor.

The Random sisters: Enid McTavish, Candida, Charlotte and Hortense Charvat.  The maid to the right is a new replacement.

Just after the wedding, Candida gave birth and had a boy she called Cardio.

Terence changed his nephew's nappy.  Candida and Ted didn't want to change nappies.

Brooke continued to be ignored, and now the baby was born there was a danger they'd both be taken away.

So Ted moved out with Brooke, leaving Candida and the baby and Terence and his now pregnant wife.  Candida didn't seem to miss Ted at all.

Charlotte Random is still in love with Willy and invited him round.  But now she had a lodger she didn't ask Willy to move in, knowing he'd probably refuse anyway.  They did, however, "woohoo", but a short while after Willy's departure, she discovered she was pregnant.  Charlotte and lodger, Cyd, began to get closer and are now at the romantic hugging stage.  You could see Cyd starting to get interested in Charlotte every time he saw her.  She liked him anyway so when he started coming onto her, she was ready.  Charlotte helped Cyd train his dog, Porthos and now Porthos has a job in the entertainment career. Will Charlotte marry Cyd?  He's quite a bit younger than her.

Charlotte had the baby - a boy - and called it Johnny.  Now Willy has five kids - 4 girls and a boy.

Nothing much happening with the other Random siblings, except the least-expected of changes which happened to Connor.  He was living in a shack and slowly going crazy, panhandling, and needing visits from the shrink.  But, it appears, he'd made friends with a female in my absence!  Connor invited her over and in no time at all Connor had his very first kiss.

Her name is Carla and she's in the same criminal career so he must have met her through work, obviously.  He asked Carla to move in and she nodded.  The shack was no good though, so they moved out and moved into a proper house. 

Connor wasted no time in asking Carla to marry him as soon as they arrived at the new house.  He couldn't believe his luck when she said yes.  But in his haste to leave the shack, Connor left behind his belongings, including his TV and telescope.  So the new couple had to start from scratch.

They went clothes shopping for Connor and got married the next day, not bothering to invite any guests.

Carla wanted a baby so she didn't waste any time in trying for one.  It took three tries though.

Connor's had a bit of a makeover.  What a turnaround!  From a sad lonely hermit in a shack desperately seeking a UFO for company, to a married man in a two-bedroomed house about to become a father.

Carla had a girl and named her Carine.  It has her colouring. 

So, three new babies in Pleasantview! - two new third generation Random babies and the first third generation Broke.

Nothing much has been happening with the Randoms.  Starting from the eldest:

There was another fire at Nigel's place.  This time, instead of Kieran catching fire, it was Nigel and, sadly, he died.  Kieran didn't think of pleading with the Grim Reaper he was in such a panic and distraught.  So that leaves us with 3 remaining Random boys out of 6.  Now the girls outnumber them.  Kieran was now on his own and he started flirting with local, Goopy Fancey (what a name!).  Thankfully Goopy is extremely gay and they got on well.  However, Goopy wasn't willing to move in.

No update for Hortense who married Cleve and had a son, Theophile.

Enid was still angry with husband, Josh, for cheating on her (with his former partner, Maggie).  Maggie had Josh's child - a girl called Megan who has just become a toddler.  Josh has since got very friendly with Dina Caliente but they haven't woohooed yet.  Enid doesn't know about that one so she's starting to forgive Josh and they can sleep together again.

Charlotte was still upset about Willy moving out and marrying the baby machine, Brandi Broke.  She tried to get Willy over and move back in but, although he would kiss and hug Charlotte, he wasn't willing to leave his wife and kids.  Charlotte now has a new man living with her in desperation of finding someone.  It's the bin Sim Cyd Roseland and his dog.  Cyd is quite a bit younger and he doesn't seem that keen on Charlotte so far.  She likes him though.

Terence still lives with his youngest sister, Candida.  Nothing much going on over there.  I'm trying to get him and his twin, Connor, to stargaze every night but neither of them are getting abducted.  There are no women that Terence is interested in.  Are all the Random men gay?  Candida hasn't got friendly with any men yet (except for married or 'taken' men).   Youngest Random, Henry, you may remember is deceased.  His ghost is red and very angry and seems to want to go to bed.

Connor is living in his little shack on the edge of town.  He's slowly going insane, panhandling at the roadside at every opportunity.  He's lonely and has no friends but spends all the time he's not at work, just trying to survive.  Very sad.

Tyler has since moved out of the house where Dustin and his new wife, Angela, live.  Angela is now pregnant and it was time for Tyler to leave.  He moved in with Kieran (but he's not gay).  He invited Melissa Fancey over and she moved in.  Tyler was very happy about that.

Kieran, however, was not, and has moved out. (Melissa's first action was to install a fire alarm above the stove!)

Oh, the very latest news from the Broke family.  Brandi had twins again!  Two more girls!   The older twins, Joelene and Jeanette grew from toddlers so at least they can look after themselves.  I've moved Chip into his little sleepout (with a door this time).  The new twins are Nancy and Noelene.  Willy was asleep when they were born.  Poor guy might want to move out now.

I thought about curing Kenny of vampirism(?) because it was annoying when friends rang up and he had to ring off because it was during the day and he was burning up. 

It seemed Contessa Adriana had changed her mind about Kenny finding a cure though.  He bought a cure from the gypsy and took a swig but Adriana bit him again.  Luckily Kenny had bought more than one cure.

I caught Adriana just before she was about to bite Kenny again.  She had to go.

I thought I'd taken a photo of the devillish machine but I couldn't find it.  Anyway, I had Adriana use it in daylight while she was in the red and sure enough she died just afterwards. 

Baby Damien grew into a toddler.  Kenny got himself a job again - back into the slacker career from the beginning.

Meanwhile poor old Marie was still trying to get promoted from Medical Researcher when the Grim Reaper caught up with her - in the bathroom (as you'd expect).

She was 79 - not a bad age - the oldest Sim for some time.

Kenny and even Damien were pretty sombre about it.

Damien must have been friends with his granny.  He cried quite a bit.

Kenny seemed to mourn his mother more than Adriana.

So now there are just the two of them and he'll need a nanny.

I thought it was time to fast-forward Zaitrarrio's life as he was still fairly young and his ex-lover, Sharlene Collins/Collie was long dead.  He and his wife, Demi Love, had a daughter, Lakeesha, who is much darker than Z's son by Sharlene - Hogan.  Hogan was living with them and looking after Lakeesha occasionally.  Hogan wants to be mayor and is currently campaign manager.  Z was a police chief but his long-term ambition was to be a master criminal and he changed careers.  He's only just become a bank robber though.  Demi is now a freelance web designer but needs 14 friends to get a promotion.  I always find it hard to make and maintain friends.  Getting 10 was a struggle and it's already reduced to 9 again.  Lakeesha grew into a child.  Unfortunately I don't seem to have any pictures of her at all.  Meanwhile, for some unknown reason, Hogan grew to hate his father and step-mother.  Was he getting too friendly with Demi and reacted when they woohooed?  I have no idea.  I'll have to look back on his memories.  Anyway Z and Hogan kept fighting,

so it was time for Hogan to move out.  Shortly after, Z and Demi grew into elders (about time) and Lakeesha grew into a teen and has already brought home Dane Tuborg.  (No pics yet.)

Two days after Heinrich Tuborg became an elder, Sonique did.

Naturally she dyed her hair.

That of course didn't stop them making out in the presence of the kids or nanny.

A day later Dane became a teen.

He's wearing hideous clothes, but he is the neglected kid so he just gets any old castoffs.

Over the river at Jean-Philippe's it was time for JP and Heidi to become elders too.  JP had a party and invited his father, Pierre, Henri, Katya and friends.  He forgot to invite Sonique.

The three generations welcome Monique back from school just as the party finished.

Once they all left, Heidi turned into an elder.

JP still needs about 3 friends to get a promotion.  Heidi needs 2.

Eva Champignon finally gave birth.

Only the maid and gardener were there to see.  Pierre and Raoul were at work and Eva's mother, Maddie, was asleep.  She had a boy and named it Philippe.

Over at Francois' - toddler, Guillaume, grew into a child and Katya got pregnant again.

The twins grew into toddlers and Harriett's gone and hidden her homework somewhere.

Heading over to Devon's - baby Alex grew into a toddler.  Victoria's got another day before she becomes a child.

Finally, Darlene went out on the town and had her eyes on a hot guy but he was busy eating and drinking and she didn't get to talk to him.  Instead she chatted up Justin Bradshaw who's a bit of a slob in his dress and keeps farting.  She wants to make out with three guys and I think she only needs one more.  Denny became a nurse and tried to chat up the pretty Christa Hutchins (who's a friend of the now elder, Marie Collie).  She wasn't interested.  Who would be, with that face.

Daniel Collie finally completed university and got his degree in Physics.  While there he worked on all skills cos he wants to max out on them all.  Still a way to go - it takes time.  He was in the same dorm as Henri Heineken (JP's son) who looks quite like his dad now.

After Daniel left, Gunther Bachman (Leo's son) moved in.  Daniel got to know fellow student, Margaret Hutchins, pretty well and effortlessly got to the stage of proposing to her.  She accepted.

So after graduating, Daniel moved into the house that Penny and Devon used to live in, across the road from his family home.  He immediately called up Margaret who came round and moved in.  They both had a makeover.

I didn't expect Daniel to find a fiancee so quickly or such a pretty one.

The same day, in the evening, they married privately in the back yard.  Visitors just happened to be there at the time.

Margaret wants to marry off 6 kids.  So they got to it straight away and she got pregnant.

She's just had the baby - a girl they called Helena, after Daniel's mum.

Veronaville has babies galore at the moment - Dan's, Daniel's, Penny's, Devon's, Kenny's and Pierre's just about to be born.

Heinrich Tuborg is now an elder - his nose is definitely bigger.  Sonique will be an elder in a couple of days. 

Heinrich before becoming an elder.  He lost his job and was looking for another.  I think he's quite a "hunk o' spunk", as Kath Day-Knight would say ("Kath and Kim").

Johnson, Heinrich's former flatmate, and Carla?, Heidi's former flatmate, lived together across the road.  They got to like each other enough to woohoo and Carla got pregnant.  She had a boy - Jerome.  Unfortunately they both ignored him and he was taken away when he was a toddler.  I'm not sure how, but I killed them off - they bored me.

I felt it was time to head over to Dan's house as I hadn't done much with him and all his contemporaries are just about elders.  I didn't even realise he wasn't married (only engaged) to Veronica Go. 

Anyway, Veronica was still angry with Dan for catching him cheating (and he isn't stopping).

Veronica now wanted kids, but wasn't going to give Dan the satisfaction of woohooing or anything.  She rang up the adoption agency.  Dan wasn't too pleased so he spent the next few days at his bookshop, building up custom.

I think Dan is a bit of a 'hunk o' spunk' too.

The day arrived and Veronica chose a toddler.  Who should it be but Jerome, son of Johnson and Carla.  Dan spent even more time at the bookshop.  Veronica didn't seem too enamoured of her new 'son'.  It was then I discovered that it was her son and not both, because they weren't married.  Anyway, she didn't look after him and the poor kid got taken away again.

Dan and Veronica seemed much happier after that.  Perhaps Veronica got it out of her system or pissed off Dan enough.  Anyway they woohooed and then Dan proposed marriage and they married then and there. 

Veronica still wanted a kid, it seemed, so they tried about three times and finally she got pregnant.

She's just had the child - a girl called Jan.  (I thought it was time for rhyming names again.)

Kenny kept seeing Contessa Adriana Tan.  He asked her to move in and she did.  Then she bit him.  Now he's a vampire.

They later got engaged and then married (there's a trend lately for marrying in undies). 

But it was Adriana who instigated it so Kenny is a Collie no more - he's now Kenny Tan.  Poos.  I'm running out of Collies to carry on the surname now.  Not much hope of Denny marrying (no-one on the horizon) and not sure about Daniel, who's Dan's son anyway.  Oh well.

Adriana got pregnant and had a boy - Damien.  But who's going to look after the baby while they sleep during the day?  (Kenny had to give up his day-job.)  Adriana wants Kenny to be cured of vampirism.  I wonder why.
