Growing Sims

I can manage to sneak in a bit of play time when I shouldn't - there are other things I should be doing, but anyway... [the addiction continues]

Firstly, Pierre and Eva had a bit of cuddling, kissing, etc in the spa pool.  But something wasn't right.

Nope something definitely wrong there.

Yeah, na, that's just wrong.  Silly glitches....

Anyway!

I had plans for Raoul - well actually for Eva's mother, Maddie, who I created especially for Raoul.  First, I wanted to get Eva pregnant.  No trouble at all.  Done.  Then Raoul invited Maddie round and asked her to move in just before he went off to work.  No problem.  Done.  Excellent.  This was all too easy.  Raoul then copied Pierre's method of proposing - waiting until after a 'woohoo'.

Maddie accepted.  Excellent.

Unlike Pierre, Raoul wanted a wedding, so he invited his sons and a couple of friends.

Most of the guests seemed to be elsewhere.  Eva was blowing bubbles nearby, Francois and friend were in the apartment out the back, and JP was patting a wolf.

The wedding party was all very civilised.  They all went inside as it got dark and sat at the table conversing!  The elders show how it's supposed to be done.

That's a very touching look Maddie is giving her new husband.

Francois finally made an appearance and played with Raoul.

I missed the limo for the honeymoon, etc.  Got enough pics of others doing the same thing. 

Raoul is now 70 and has just been promoted to Theorist.  Will he live long enough to achieve another (and final) promotion?

Marriage means sharing your hobbies in your undies.

I might have to split up the Collie family category - at least Penny and Devon who are now Danaher and Lillard...

Penny had had a daughter, Harriett.  It was several tries before she got pregnant again.  Edward was hoping for a boy.  Well she got twins!  (And I didn't use the dessert cheat.)  She got two boys in fact.  Should keep Edward happy.  They're called Richard and Kane.  Kane's a stupid name but I was sitting there unprepared and couldn't think of a suitable name.  In desperation I entered one that didn't seem totally ridiculous.  Lesson to self - always have several names prepared. I'd only had one boy's and one girl's.  Richard, the oldest by a few seconds, is darker skinned like his father.  Kane is lighter like his mother.  Penny found it tough looking after 3 demanding kiddies during the day.

Luckily a day after the boys were born Harriett grew into a child. 

Over at Devon's Victor was still pretty happy at having a granddaughter and he was still platinum when he died aged 67.  I nearly missed it.  He had Hawaiian dancers and I wondered why before I realised he was platinum still.  

I just caught it as Victor faded into a ghost. 

Victor had already lost his friend Jonathan Ternynck.  Jonathan died a few days after Genieve.  They were 67 and 66.  Jonathan didn't even mourn Genieve because he caught some random visiting guy caressing her.  I didn't have a clue about that relationship!  So he was still fuming days later, even after Genieve's death.  He was near to promotion too when he carked it.

So Victor was dead and Devon and Jeremy tried for another baby.  Devon got pregnant first try.  The pregnancy didn't go well though and she was starving - thanks to waiting for Victoria to hurry up and turn into a toddler - she wouldn't eat or sleep until the little brat had changed.

The Grim Reaper arrived for Devon just as she was about to finally eat dinner and she fell to the dining room floor and curled up.  Luckily Jeremy was there and he sobbed and pleaded for his wife (and baby)'s life.  He had visions of having to find another wife to get a son and it was all too much when his heavily pregnant wife was just there on the floor before him.  The Grim Reaper reluctantly let Jeremy have his way and Devon was alive again. 

She gave birth a day or so later to a boy - Alex.

Then the computer crashed, fuck it.  I'm hoping I saved it. 

I had a bit of time to play the other night.  I was determined to get Pierre sorted.

Well after a lot of flirting and carrying on...

Eva finally moved in, but it took a day or two to get Eva to accept a proposal of marriage.  Even when she'd moved in and I tried to get her to propose, Pierre rejected her!

They finally 'woohooed' and it was after that that Pierre proposed and was accepted . 

Having achieved that, Pierre didn't waste any time and married Eva in the kitchen the next day.  Stuff the wedding celebration, time was short, thought Pierre.  Trying to find a suitable date when no-one was working was too much of a hassle.  Perhaps a party later...  Pierre got promoted to convenience store clerk (he's a high flyer that one).

Meanwhile baby Guillaume, son of Francois, grew to toddlerhood. 

Over at Jean-Philippe's house, Monique learned to talk and walk and... climb out of the cot - cheeky minx.

She finds him but he walks past her.

Lucky for her toddlers can't fall in the pool and drown.

Henri moved to Academie Le Tour.

Monique then grew into a child.

JP needs more friends before he can get promoted.  He and Heidi will be elders in two days.

Not sure why but he and Raoul are two of my favourites - one of the first families I created.  Soon they'll be gone.

Kenny could no longer date Melody because she was still a teen.  So he had to find a new love interest.

With that in mind he tried out the LuLu Lounge.

He got friendly with a lovely looking Contessa.

I wonder if he noticed her teeth or her complexion in the dark?  She suddenly disappeared on him towards dawn too.

He was so smitten, however, that he invited her round.

Do you think he knows, or cares, that she's a vampire?

I may not be able to update much for the next couple of months - got other urgent stuff to do and won't have so much time to play Sims 2, let alone blog about it.  See you soon, I hope!

A few phone calls later and Eva and Pierre actually got to friend status.  But Eva still refused to go on a date with Pierre. 

In the meantime, Katelyn's death came unexpectedly as she was spraying for cockroaches on the road.

With Raoul free to re-marry and Eva refusing to come over to Pierre's I headed over to her house and had her invite Pierre and Raoul over.  That way they could get to know each other better and Raoul could meet Eva's mother, Maddie.  She did as she was told and they came over.

(Raoul was promoted to some secret researcher just before Katelyn's death, hence the get-up.)  There are no sparks between them.  Perhaps I should help them out with the porta-chug thing.

Raoul wanted a grandchild, so I made that come true - obviously not through Pierre.

Katya's in shock.  Not sure she wanted to get pregnant so soon.  (I keep forgetting to take her shopping for clothes.  She's still in the default adult stuff she got after university.)  So Francois and Katya had a boy, named Guillaume, for lack of a better French name.  I hadn't planned the pregnancy either - it was an impulse for Raoul nearing his end.  The ungrateful bugger didn't seem to register it at all and wants another grandchild.  Demanding sod.

Back to Pierre and Eva.  Finally he asked her on a date and she didn't refuse.  Finally poor Pierre got his very first kiss while dating Eva at the LuLu Lounge. 

They shared some cuddling but couldn't yet do any woohooing.

The date went well but still no engagement.  Pierre invited her home another evening and they did a lot of kissing, etc.  Pierre was about to ask her to move in and she chose that moment to walk away and go home.  She's a hard one.

Poor old Pierre.  While his brother has just had another promotion (to intern), married and has a child, Pierre has had only one promotion to gas station attendant and can't lure his prospective wife to the house permanently.  It's taking time....!

Danielle, daughter of Jasmine Gregory (adopted daughter of Gerd Stein but adopted kids don't take the adoptive parents surname, it seems), was annoying - the most annoying character I've had to deal with in the Sims.  When she was a child she complained about not having fun but didn't actually do anything about it.  Even worse, as a teen, she complained about being hungry but didn't go to the perfectly full fridge to feed herself.

She did a lot of arm-waving. (She had a makeover, getting rid of her long curly hair and making it red.)

I was so intent on seeing what stupid thing she was up to (mostly worrying about cockroaches) that I didn't see the death of Jagd.

With the only member of that family that I liked gone, there wasn't much point carrying on with the rest.  (Jasmine had no boyfriend or anything exciting happening.)  I didn't have to do anything though.  Danielle starved herself through her own stupidity.

I suppose I could have actually directed her to go to the fridge but I wanted to see how dumb she was.

Sure enough, she died.

Jasmine turned into an elder shortly after that.

She was pretty tired that day.

I hastened Jasmine's demise with a devilish machine.

She was definitely in the red zone after that little electrocution.

The Grim Reaper helped himself to a drink after that.

So that's the end of the "Stein" legacy.

Mood: indecisive

I'm considering moving this blog.  But I'm not sure.  Do I persevere here?  Or shall I take this opportunity to move to either Wordpress or Blogger.  Wordpress seems a little clunky and their tag cloud doesn't seem to work too well (I've already set up test blogs at both sites).  Blogger's method of inserting pictures is really fucking annoying - posting every pic at the top of the blog entry which you then have to drag into place - really fucking annoying, especially if you've got a long post.  For all it's problems this site is simple.  I just wish they'd fix the time problem and get rid of the splogs. If I forget to change the time, the post just doesn't appear.

If I did move I'd just keep this site as an archive and link to it from the other blog.  Or should I just have a different type of Sims blog over there?  I can feed this blog as RSS at Blogger, which is handy.  I just don't know!  So please vote - Wordpress/Blogger or stay here?

The path to love is never smooth - at least not for Pierre.  Francois has no problem at all - he can get any woman he wants.

Pierre searched downtown for the elusive Eva again without any luck. Eva did the same. They just weren't meeting.

It was Francois who finally met Eva Cornwall through her mother, Maddie.

Francois invited both of them over one night and then invited Pierre over as well so he could finally meet the supposed woman of his dreams. But it didn't go so well.  Pierre just does not have his brother's charm when it comes to women. (In fact Francois is attracted to Eva and could have had her swooning over him in minutes.)

The meeting didn't go as planned.  Within minutes, no - seconds, of meeting, Pierre and Eva were shoving and slapping each other.  I have no idea why.  Perhaps Pierre tried to move in on her too quickly or vice versa.  I didn't expect such a quick negative turn of events.

Francois tried his best to influence them both to be nice to each other. But it just kept getting worse.

They should have been attracted to each other but these Sims have minds of their own. Eva certainly had mixed feelings.

But you know what they say about couples who start off fighting when they meet.  Sometimes it turns to love.  Seems like Eva wants to like Pierre but he's not doing himself any favours rejecting her.

The next day I had them ring each other up.  Pierre's relationship score for her was -86.  After the phone call it was -54 - getting there slowly.  Eva's score to start with was only -25 or so.  She didn't dislike him nearly as much as he seemed to dislike her.

Time will tell.  Perhaps Pierre needs to drink some Nu-vu or whatever it's called...

Pierre has a good relationship with Francois' wife, Katya.  Perhaps they should swap?

Penny had the baby – a girl, Harriett. It wasn't the boy that Edward wanted but that's fine.  That just meant they had to try again.

It's always nice when a baby throws up on you after you've just had a shower.

Harriett has just become a toddler and Penny is finally pregnant again after four tries.

Devon, meanwhile, looked like she was having twins.

But she had just the one – also a girl, which they named Victoria, after Victor who was very happy to have a grandchild.

Devon still didn't have a job but she arranged for house renovations, moving the entrance, moving a bathroom and moving the stairs over just a fraction to make them more central in line with the new entrance. The entrance to the house was now in the middle, and looked grander.  The previous small entrance to the house was on the left and just didn't look right to Devon.

Over to the Loves – Demi and Zaitrarrio and family.

Lakeesha was a very contented baby - barely cried at all.  She's grown into a toddler.

Hogan got a job – I've already forgotten what. He still has the picture of his parents which they took when they were having an affair.

No girlfriends (or boyfriends) on the horizon for Hogan yet.

So Francois and Katya got married.

Among the guests were the Japanese couple, Jean-Philippe, Devon, Darlene, Denny, Katelyn and Pierre.

Pierre by now is going a bit looney.

That's him with the lampshade on his head.  He hasn't been able to get the job he wants, he hasn't got a girlfriend and he's afraid of seeing wolves, of which there are a number at the Champignon residence.

Pierre has tried meeting women, but none interest him.  They're the usual ones that hang around - no-one new and interesting.  So I made someone especially for him - Eva Cornwall.  The trouble is getting them to meet.  She and her mother live in Penny and Devon's old house.  Both of them have been downtown on separate occasions but they never see each other.  I might just have to move her in uninvited.

Raoul still has a lot of life left in him and he's only 64.  Katelyn though is only about 61 or 62 and she's nearing her end.

Here she is getting some cake.  She wanted to retire from her professional party guest career and so she has.  She can now spend all day looking at herself in the mirror.  Pierre wants to be what his mother was, and I think he finally found an entry into the slacker career.  It seems appropriate that he's following his mother's career as he likes to admire himself too.  He's a little cracked - comes from the mother's side obviously.

On a different note, I'm considering moving my blog to Wordpress.  Three things annoy me about Blogigo:  1) the time problem - I have to manually change the time if I want my post to appear.  If I leave it on 'current time' it never appears; 2) the huge number of splogs (spam blogs); and 3) having to change the size of my font every single time.  I've tried changing the default but it doesn't appear to work. 

Maybe I can start the new blog with generation four of the Collies...

I hadn't checked out Jean-Philippe lately.  He's been keeping a low profile - I haven't seen him downtown or at any social functions.  He continues to be friends with half-brother Pierre, but not Francois.

Pierre and JP share some gossip.

He's rapidly heading for elderhood, sadly.  His son, Henri was growing and doing well in school.  Jean-Philippe and Heidi's relationship was stable if unexciting.  J-P's just been promoted to supporting player in the entertainment career.  Heidi is now vice president in the business career.

Heidi wanted another child so they went to it and hey presto, she ended up with a much-wanted daughter who they named Monique.  Monique grew into a toddler just as Henri grew into a teen.

J-P's son, Henri.  (The house looks a bit cramped with the walls up.)

Monique, who looks kinda funny with small eyes. 

So nothing much exciting happening with JP.  He thought about going on a date and drove to PURE, but didn't meet anyone interesting apart from ugly-looking Regina who's having an affair with Victor Lillard.  No thanks.

So next time we meet JP, I guess he'll be an elder.

Coming up - more on Raoul and the twins.

Helen was having a mixed day.  The repo man came round because she'd forgotten to pay her bills.

He's an evil bastard.  Anyway he took a few items but what the heck, she could afford to replace them.  Helen's niece, Penny, came round for a chat after work.  For some reason they wanted to talk outside in the dark.

After Penny left, Helen had a nap on the couch.  But a burglar stole into the house and nicked anything left of value after the repo man had been.  There wasn't much left.  But she'd got onto the cops and the burglar was caught and some money repaid.  All fine and dandy.  No problem.  She went off to work and returned with a promotion to sous-chef!  Yay!  Now she could afford to replace everything she lost.

Then her day got worse.

The Grim Reaper obviously thought she'd had enough.  No point carrying on y'old bag.  Helen Collie departed the Sim world of Veronaville at the age of 71.  Not bad, considering her fairly miserable life.  There goes the last of Manon and Shannon Collie's kids.  (Now Daniel has no home to return to after uni.  C'est la vie.)

Mariane's death reminded Genieve that her life was finite.  She wanted a party, so she invited mainly family around.  She retired from her crummy job of Rookie at the bottom end of the athletic career and invited people around.  Jonathan, who only recently became an elder, went off to work.

"You inviting your family around?  I have to go to work..."

Unfortunately, Genieve was still in her undies when the party started.  Here she is talking to grandson, Jean-Paul, poor guy, while Jonathan looks on with disapproval (at Genieve or her grandson?).

Dane wanted to play a game with Heinrich, but he refused and turned away.

Even as a child he was being ignored.  He had a little tantrum but no-one cared.

So he decided to dance to the jazz music...

ignoring everyone else in turn.

Genieve got dressed and played with Jean-Paul.  Dane continued dancing...

and dancing.

He kept dancing when everyone else was watching kicky ball...

and continued dancing when everyone else was tired out.

Man he loves that jazz.

After a while he got fed up and had another tantrum,

and still no-one cared.  After that everyone left.

Sonique had spent most of the time upstairs playing chess.

Genieve watched the last of them go, exhausted.  Sonique followed Raoul Champignon out the door.

When everyone had left, Jonathan timed it right to return home from work.

While Jeremy was at uni he invited Devon Landchild around and he proposed to her.

She, not being foolish enough to refuse such an offer, accepted.

In the same dorm was another Lillard.

Her name was Elizabeth Lillard - distant cousins?

Anyway, Jeremy finished university and became an adult.

Once home it was time for a bit of a makeover.

He immediately got a job as an intern and was promoted twice and got to GP before inviting Devon over.  Everything was prepared for their wedding.

With each promotion Jeremy's free days got pushed out, so he decided to invite Devon over to move in at least and have the wedding the next day before his mother carked it.  But the minute Devon walked up the path towards the house, Mariane's end had come.

She could have waited one more day!  She was due to be promoted from president as well as see her son's wedding.  Sigh.  She died at 68.

Devon went home immediately, so Jeremy had to try again another day.

Victor, surprisingly, mourned for his late wife.

So finally Devon moved in and the wedding party was arranged.  Victor went to work but that didn't stop them.

Mr and Mrs Lillard - but where were the guests?

Standing round drinking booze!  I'm going to have to do without the damned champers - the guests are far too interested in it instead of the actual ceremony.

Even after most people had gone to eat cake or turkey....

When everyone had gone, Victor returned from work.

So more celebrating was in order.

Luckily the wedding couple had just returned from their brief honeymoon.  Victor would have continued pouring and toasting if I hadn't made him dispose of the bottle!

PS Devon is also pregnant.

Dan's kids are growing (without any input from him).

Daniel, Helen's son, is now at Academie Le Tour, in a different dorm to Jeremy Lillard (who has now reached his senior year).  For some reason he wanted to choose Physics.  Silly boy.

He's not the best looking boy - but then his mother's a bit weird looking.

Next up is Danielle, who grew from a pesky child to a teen.  I still don't like her.

She moaned about being bored all the time, yet she was surrounded by 'fun' things to do.  She just had to go over and do them, but no, she had to wave her arms around for 5 minutes complaining.  I much prefer the dog, Jagd, who is lovely.

He's now an elder.

Danielle left the TV on one morning so Jagd enjoyed it.

Finally, over to Sonique's madhouse where Dane, as a toddler, was ignored.

He has a 100% relationship with his nanny compared to about 70% with Sonique and about 30% with Heinrich.  Can we blame him?  Anyway he's now a child and his half-brother Jean-Paul is a teen.

Finally he could wash himself and get to bed without relying on non-existent attention from parents.

Meanwhile Dan is busy trying to run his Bookshop business.  It's slow-going.  I just remembered he'd hired Daniel to help out but Daniel found he wasn't able to do homework as well and now he's just gone to university.  Oh well.

Brief updates on others: 

Leo Bachman is now an elder and his baby son, Gunther, is now a child.  Pics later perhaps.

Zaitrarrio and Demi Love married and he's taken her surname.  Demi got thinner before getting pregnant.  She's just had a girl (a lot darker than Hogan) called Lakeesha.  Hogan moved in (perhaps as a live-in babysitter to his baby half-sister).  His mother, after all, is dead and gone. 

Zaitrarrio wanted to be a criminal mastermind despite being a Police Chief - well he did discover corruption...  Anyway he's changed careers and gone from a salary of 900 simoleans to about 190 simoleans.  Great.  Demi's probably not too pleased as they both like buying STUFF!  She was just promoted to freelance photographer before giving birth.

I was just reading someone else's Livejournal blog about their new Sims legacy.  Boy are the pictures good!  Mine look really crappy in comparison.  She does photoshop them, which I don't have time to do.  I wonder if she zooms in in Photoshop cos I can never seem to get very close.  She has beautiful people and hairstyles too.  But then I haven't downloaded any extra stuff - it's all Maxi's default stuff, which is pretty boring I have to say.  The fashions and hair leave a lot to be desired.  But it's amazingly difficult to find good stuff.  I had no problem with Sims 1 but finding stuff I really want enough to risk downloading (I hate crashing games) is tough.

When I last left Kenny and Marie, they were still in bed and Steven had just died.  Kenny was still a teen who didn't want to go to college and wanted a slacker career.  Now it seemed he did want to go to college but I'd already decided otherwise, matey.

Anyway, Kenny got himself a girlfriend, school friend Melody Tinker.

They'd been on a date and everything was going well.  But then he had to grow up (and she didn't).  Members of the family were invited round for his birthday.

Devon, Denny, Darlene and Jeremy (in the background) were there as well as Melody.  But once Kenny became an adult he could only be friends with Melody.  Now he has to find a new girlfriend.

Kenny "grew up badly" because he didn't get to go to college.  Whatever.  Kenny needed a makeover.  Those shorts had to go.

He didn't like the first hairstyle I gave him, fussy bugger.  He looks a lot like his father.  In the meantime, his mother Marie got promoted to Surgeon.

Back over to Devon and Penny's place.  Devon is in love with Jeremy Lillard but also wants 50 first dates.  Well, she's not getting them.  It's bad enough trying to find 2.  But this isn't Devon's story today.  Penny's live-in boyfriend, Adrian, was seeing other women and had started taking an interest in Devon.  He had to go.  But who else to take his place?  Penny invited over a guy she'd met at PURE but who wasn't quite a friend.  He came over and in no time at all they were friends, then falling in love.  His name is Edward Danaher.  Almost immediately Penny invited him to move in and he did!  The added bonus - he was high up in his career - a business president.  Yay!  Penny had just been promoted to some level of chef (can't remember - I was concentrating on other things).  Adrian moved out.

The next day Penny proposed.  Edward accepted.

They moved out leaving Devon alone, and moved into a house more worthy of the "nattily" dressed president, Edward and his fiancee.

Funnily enough, it backs onto the Collie family home and is directly opposite the Champigon household.  Penny was elated.

The picture above is before the house had a bit of a makeover - new flooring, an additional fireplace, new wall coverings, lighting, the addition of a garage (and car).  It's still not 100% (I don't like those blue shutters) but it'll do for now.

The next day Penny invited over family and friends for her wedding. 

Edward had got fat while moving into the house and just before the wedding he'd been working out.  He got fitter again just after the ceremony.

It's going to be a struggle keeping him in shape because he's rather lazy.  Wedding guests included Devon, Penny, Francois and Pierre Champignon, Leo and some neighbours invited themselves over including a fat Demi Love (who Hogan's father Zaitrarrio had moved in with across the river).

Time for toasts and cake.

Time for the honeymoon.

On their return, Edward wanted a baby and later Penny did too.  It took three tries before Penny got pregnant.

Generation 4 of the Collies begins.

Cleve had moved in with Hortense.  He proposed one morning.

She accepted.  Cleve is still unemployed, not having found a job he wants, so Hortense waited until she had a day off to invite guests to her wedding - all family.  Everyone but Tyler turned up (he moved out and is in limbo - the Sim bin).

Things were going along quite well - everyone behaving themselves.

But, alas, Connor and Terence just couldn't help but fight, like they always had.

Terence starts.

Connor reciprocates.

It got so bad that Hortense had to ask Terence to leave.

Meanwhile, Charlotte's friend Willy, had met Brandi Broke at the gym one day and got to know her.  She invited him over a couple of times and they got friendly.

While they were having fun, Brandi's youngest, Chip, was neglected.

Even her eldest, Dustin, ignored the pleas of the toddler.

Dustin has since grown up and moved out (he didn't like Willy anyway).

Brandi wanted another baby (she had 3 boys) and sure enough, she got pregnant.  She visited Willy one night when Charlotte was at work.  Unfortunately she came home to find Brandi, heavily pregnant and caressing Willy.  She was not too pleased and fought with Willy when she woke to find Brandi still there - in underwear.

But it was too late for Charlotte.  During the night, Willy had done the honourable thing and proposed to Brandi.

She accepted...

The Champignon twins have now completed university.  Pierre has moved back home and Francois moved in with Katya.  Francois didn't like the house that Katya had moved into, mainly because there was no room for a car (which he wanted) without major rebuilding.  So they moved over the river and into a modern house.

A garage was built and a bit of garden put in.  That's all from the twins at the moment.

Nearby, the Japanese couple, Akiko and Hiroshi, finally got married in their garden.

Guests included mainly ex-university students that both of them knew including Leo, Sonique, Dan and Jasmine.

I've mentioned how alike the Random males look and the females all look pretty similar too.  They're like clones of each other.  So here they are (or most of them):

The eldest, Nigel, Libra.  Started off as a pick-pocket in the crime career, but is now a bit player in the entertainment career.  Lives with lover, Kieran.

One of the twin girls, Hortense, Aquarius.  Here she is visiting Charlotte's place at a family get-together but her sister, Enid, didn't show up.  She's in the medical career as you can see.  Enid basically looks the same but with her long hair out.  Strangely, Enid, the twin, is a Gemini.  Hmm.  More on the twin girls later.

Next oldest are twins, Woody and Charlotte.

Woody, Aries, at his brother's house.  He was in the military career and had been flirting with Nigel's boyfriend, Kieran.  Sadly he was attacked by flies in the kitchen and died swiftly, leaving only a pile of ashes that Kieran considerately swept up before crying.

Woody's twin, Charlotte, strangely a Pisces.  She's pretty low down in her career - currently a gas station attendant or something.

Next oldest is Terence who was forced to be the adult to the rest of the siblings in the family home.

Terence is also a Pisces.  Here he is partying at Charlotte's house, Hortense in the background.  I can't remember what job he has.  Poor guy has no friends or girlfriends.

Next oldest, Connor, who nobody liked.  Connor's also a Gemini. He lives alone in his little cottage at the edge of Pleasantview out of sight and mind, so that when I spent a couple of days each with the siblings, I forgot completely about him.   So his age won't be correct compared to the others.

Adopted Tyler has just grown to an adult - he'll move out shortly.  Henry's dead.  That leaves Candida, yet another Pisces. 

She's only just become an adult so has no job.

Back to the twins where interesting things are happening.  Enid had met and married local wide-mouthed, flat-nosed Sim, Renaud Fancey (Why are there so many of them?  The blond guy in the pic above is another of them.)  She'd only just moved to an apartment with new husband when she met Josh McTavish.  Josh and Margaret are not married but were on the way to being engaged.  Enid and Josh's love for each other blossomed quickly.  Enid invited him over and he moved in.  That left Renaud with nowhere to sleep.  He moved out - and into Margaret McTavish's place.  While there he invited Enid over to break up.  She was now free to re-marry - Josh.

And here they are marrying just like that - no ceremony at all.

Hortense wants to be a werewolf but she never gets visited by Balin which is, apparently, the wolf she needs to get friendly with in order to become one.  Anyway, Hortense had a liking for a Sim I'd never seen - probably through chatting online.  She invited him over.

His name is Cleve Charvat (or something).  Clearer pics later.  Hortense invited him to move in, which he did.  Apparently he was a student, so he became an adult on moving in and is, of course, unemployed.

So there we have the Randoms.  8 siblings left, now all adults.

I headed over to Sharlene to see how she was doing all on her own.  Her daughter, Darlene, came over to visit.

Sharlene then went off to work as some school crossing monitor or something (she'd lost her high-powered job as a super-hero).

The minute she got back from work, Death came to visit. She was 70.

For once it wasn't in or near a bathroom.  Death did go to the toilet afterwards though.  The little house is now empty.

Over to Steven's house.  He went to work, then came home and hit the sack.  Marie came home, promoted to specialist and also went to bed.  Kenny was in bed already.  During the night, Steven got up and was probably on his way to the bathroom when Death came for him too.  He died at 69.

That only left Helen as the remaining offspring of Shannon and Manon Collie.  She's getting on a bit but still has a few days.

She's still upset about the end of her marriage - you'd have thought she'd be over it by now. 

Her son, Daniel, had a friend over from school one day - none other than his half sister, Danielle.

Shortly after, Daniel grew into a teen.

The youngest of Dan's kids, Dane, is as neglected as Jean-Paul was.

Over at Penny and Devon's - Penny was abducted by aliens when she was stargazing one night.  She's been back a couple of days now but no sign of any alien pregnancy, thankfully.  Maybe only male abductees get pregnant or it's just chance.

Devon's still living at home and has been flirting with Jeremy.

No sign of anyone settling down among the third generation Collies.
