Not much happenin'

by: apathetic   Category: Champignon   Keywords: Sims, university, Academie, le, tour, Lillard, Maniere

I find getting students through uni a bit of a pain really.  They never seem to meet the Greek house people or whoever else makes things more interesting.  I just try to get them through as fast as possible and it's a good place to meet potential partners.

Pierre and Francois Champignon are still there - in their second semester of Junior year.  Francois' fiancee, Katya Borsch, has finished and moved in to a house in Veronaville.  She has a job as an algae collector, although her aspiration is to be a criminal mastermind.  Francois missed her for a couple of days but was soon in the sack with local, Robin.

Francois and Robin

Hogan Collins (Sharlene's bastard child) failed uni (philosophy) and is in limbo back at Veronaville.

Hogan

Hogan got into fights with Erik Fairchild a lot.  No girlfriends as such.

Jeremy Lillard has just started uni and is studying mathematics.

The Randoms

by: apathetic   Category: Random family   Keywords: Sims, Pleasantview

Long time, no visit.  So far:  Eldest son Nigel had moved in with gay partner Kieran.  Brother, Woody, also moved in with them.  The twin girls were in a modern apartment on the other side of Pleasantview.  Charlotte, Woody’s twin sister, had moved in with a loner called Willy Brannon.  Next oldest, Terence, was an adult, and living with the rest of the siblings in the family home – Connor (who fought with Terence and Candida), Tyler, Candida, and Henry, all teens.

In my absence Enid, one of the twin girls, had fallen in love with Renaud Fancey.  To make things easy I married them off and they moved into a nearby apartment.  The apartment the twins were in wasn’t big enough for three.  Twin sister, Hortense, doesn’t have any boyfriends, but is very interested in becoming a werewolf.  We’ll have to work on that one.  But, soon after moving into the new apartment with her new husband, Enid was coming on to visiting Scots neighbour, Josh McTavish. [I made him long ago and have done nothing with him or partner, Maggie.  I’m not even sure they’re married (I think I forgot to put any links between them), so she could, potentially, be a sister.]

Connor became an adult and moved into a tiny hut on the edge of Pleasantview.  Is he a hermit-type?  Will he be like Victor and go around poking people in the chest?

Charlotte and Willy went from barely speaking to each other to now getting on a lot better – including in the bedroom.  I thought Willy might be a suitable potential partner for Sim resident Brandi Broke but they haven’t even met and don’t appear likely to except through the Randoms.

The youngest, Henry, got sick, due to stomping on cockroaches.  He also got food poisoning by eating old food.  But he didn’t rest like the others did.  He continued to stomp on cockroaches and neglecting to eat, so that eventually he had turned black when the ghost of his dearly departed adoptive mother scared the living daylights out of him.  So he died outside by the corner of the house.  9 siblings left.  I don’t intend letting many of them breed – the neighbourhood would be over-run by Randoms.  (Two of them are gay anyway.)

A royal challenge

I took a break from my usual families to work on a Royal Challenge I started some time ago.  My computer is sectioned off so I actually have two Sims games I could work on.  My royal challenge is in Veronaville which is still pretty empty.  It will be slow going and time-consuming.  I have two families - rather like the Caps and Montys of the original set-up, but I got rid of them and have my own - same sort of Romeo and Juliet scenario but I'm going forward 7 generations.  So, the daughter from one of the families was in love with the youngest son from another family.  They eloped (to university) and then lived in a little house far away from their homes.

The two families are situated on opposite sides of the river - one has a giant black knight on their lawn facing the giant red knight on the opposite family's lawn.  I'm trying to make their homes, etc medieval, but there are not a lot of suitable objects.  There are only two medieval gowns that the queens and/or princesses can wear.  The men can wear armour or some Star Wars type outfit, but that's it.  There is no suitable clothing for kids (pirate uniforms for boys perhaps) or teens and young adults.  I'm going to have to download some from somewhere.

Anyway, back to the story - I probably won't update on this Royal Challenge much, if at all, but it's the reason I haven't updated on the other families or posted pics.

The two families are:

ANAR:  Kras (king), Niya (queen), Sakan (oldest son), Daron (youngest son - the Romeo).  Sakan married Corana and had two children - Aniya and Aldhar.  (The names are random - some I've stolen from astronomy books!)  Sadly, Corana went nuts and had to be locked away - she died of starvation.

LANVI: Head of family - Markon; his wife, Ari; son Hadar and daughter Maya (the Juliet).  Hadar married Dasol and had a boy, Krano.

Daron was killed by the Anar family (I drowned him in a pool pretending he was being attacked on a beach).  (Maya was now alone and pregnant.)  This of course angered the Lanvi family so they went to war.  This involved killing off the men - Markon, Hadar and Sakan and Kras died later, leaving the widows and children (the oldest just became teens).

This meant experimenting with different methods of killing Sims.  Having Daron's ghost around at Maya's place was a pain - he left puddles everywhere and eventually scared Maya to death and a screaming baby was left alone until the Social Worker came and took it then just hung around in the car and the game basically froze.  So - I tried again and this time sent Daron's headstone elsewhere.

I put Markon and Hadar in an enclosed space and experimented with fire.  Fireplaces were no good - the fires just went out eventually.  But a barbecue, meant for outside use only, was perfect.  Even with reasonable cooking skills, it caught fire and they had nowhere to go.  Exit Lanvi men.

I experimented with a different method on Sakan - enclosing him in a confined space with rotten food.  Apparently there was a possibility that flies would attack him.  Instead, the piles of food caught fire and Sakan died of fire as well.  This left Kras.  He still had years of elderhood left, so I killed him with the 'death by flies' cheat.  Perfect - took seconds rather than minutes.

Hadar's son, Krano, is the eldest of the third generation so he'll be the next king.

A major frustration with trying to do pre-modern Sims is that they're hard to keep happy.  Their aspirations involve things like buying mp3s or cellphones.  I don't let them so their aspiration level is in the red zone most of the time.  This leads to nervous breakdowns, constant visits by the shrink and panhandling for simoleans at the roadside.  Corana did it so often I had to get rid of her.  She would have been locked up anyway.  She was a danger to the children (still babies - who she ignored while going mad).

I need to make some other families - nobility (for potential marriage partners) and merchants and peasant types - that's going to take ages.

I'll leave this challenge there for now.  Back to my regular Sims...

Quick update

by: apathetic   Category: Collie family   Keywords: death, growth, adultery, Maniere

Remington died at 72.  I missed it entirely, having the Sims on fastforward at the time.  First thing I knew his picture had disappeared, so by the time I stopped the fast forward he was gone.  Beware of bathrooms - deadly places.  The Grim Reaper just loves to take you when you're in the bathroom (as Remington was).

Naturally Sophie and the girls were upset.  Sophie moved out and Penny's new boyfriend, Adrian Lewis moved in.  He has the default townie feature of a large wide mouth, unfortunately, but he's the only Sim she's shown any liking for.  But he's already too friendly with a visiting friend.

Adrian and friend

Actually I'm not sure of Devon's feelings for her father.  I caught her kicking the headstone in the back yard.  She also loves kicking over the trash can at the front of the house, the little bitch.  So I make her clean it up every time.  I've taken a dislike to her.  She's definitely not getting another look in with Francois.  She's now an adult and wants to move out - but to where?

Steven's wife, Marie, has finally become an elder.  Steven is now about 65 and she's only 54.  Son, Kenny, is now a teen.  Steven wants him to go to college, but Kenny wants to slack around.

Denny moved out of home and moved in with Darlene.  Darlene's a prep-cook but wants to be the top in the athletic career.  So she keeps looking for an opening but one never comes.  Denny's become a medical tech.

Over at Ben and Sharlene's - Ben finally kicked the bucket at 71 - again in the bathroom.

Ben death

Sharlene is now alone.  Her illegitimate son, Hogan, is at college and they keep in touch.

Meanwhile, Helen's bastard offspring, Daniel, has grown to a child and will soon be a teen.  Daniel tried talking to his father when he happened to pass by one day, but Dan didn't seem too interested.  Not much fatherly devotion from Dan, I'm afraid.

Daniel and Dan

Dan's other sprog, Danielle, at Jasmine's place has just reached childhood.  I didn't like her as a toddler - she kept wanting to squeeze the living daylights out of the dog, Jagd, who was very tolerant.  Jagd lost his job (I always make the wrong decision with those  pesky situational pop-ups).  He'll be an elder himself soon anyway.  No boyfriends on the horizon for Jasmine.  She'll take after her adoptive father and be alone all her life, it seems.

And to Dan's youngest sproglet - Dane.  The baby grew into a toddler and has his mother's features - particularly the scowl.  The baby disappeared from Genieve's place, as I suspected.  The nanny at Sonique's house does not think much of Sonique.

(I wish Sims would have a door that only allowed adults through - so the friggin' toddlers stop playing in the fucking toilet all the time - the little bastards.  Either that or have steps up or down to the toilet.  The little bastards can't negotiate steps, haha.)

Talking of Maniere - Mariane's cheating husband, Victor, went on a date with another of his female friends.

Victor and friend

He'll finally be an elder in a couple of days.  Victor and Mariane are afraid of seeing wolves.  Unfortunately they see a lot of them around their house, so they constantly get visits from the shrink.  Victor's a pain in the arse - he's often seen barging into people's houses and dorms and randomly poking people in the chest angrily.  What is his problem?  Jeremy, meanwhile, is in limbo at Academie le Tour.  He can inherit the house - move back in when he finally finishes college, then hopefully his parents will die of old age (or Victor at least meets with an accident).

Sonique and Genieve

by: apathetic   Category: Maniere family   Keywords: Sims, babies, Neglect

Sonique's not much of a mother.  The toddler, Jean-Paul's cot was in the kitchen in an open plan house with the lounge at the front of the house and Heinrich loved playing heavy metal music, so the child never got any sleep.  Once let out, he could find somewhere else to crash.

Neglected kid

Despite the neglect, Jean-Paul grew into a child - prone to tantrums naturally.

But Sonique was bored, especially when Heinrich (who tended to play drums all the time anyway) was at work, so she secretly met old flame, Dan.  She still dreamed of Jean-Philippe but he was no longer interested.

Dan and Sonique

They 'woohooed' in the car and more.  Sonique was now pregnant with Dan's child.

I've totally missed writing about Jasmine who had a visit from Dan as well - they also knew each other at uni.  Jasmine gave birth to Dan's illegitimate daughter, Danielle, who is now a toddler.

Dan's complexion is a little darker than Sonique's or Heinrich's so you'd think Heinirich would be a bit suspicious about a darker than white baby with gingery brown hair...  Not that Heinrich interracts with the kids much anyway.

Mariane Maniere was now an elder and her husband, Victor, flirting with younger females everywhere.  Fairly neglected sister, Genieve, had to age as well, so over to her place where she invited her daughter and grandchildren over.

Here she meets her suspiciously darker grandson, Dane,

Genieve meets grandson, Dane

and has a chat with older grandson, terror Jean-Paul.

Genieve and Jean-Paul

Heinrich doesn't seem to think much of his (rather sexy) mother-in-law.  They don't get on.

So Genieve has a cuddle of the baby.  Husband, Jonathan, is out at work and wanted to stay clear of Sonique and family anyway.

Genieve and baby

(Looking and wondering, perhaps...?)  Sonique's reputation confirmed.

So the family decide to go home... but they left the baby!

Genieve and abandoned baby

Genieve was unable to pick it up unless it was hungry.  So it lay around stinking and sleeping.  Occasionally Genieve would feed it.  Very odd.  She tried inviting Sonique back and then Sonique and Heinrich, but neither of them would pick up the stinky baby.  I wonder how long it'll stay with them?  When I go back to Sonique's house, the baby is there.  I'll let you know what happens!

The twins, et al

by: apathetic   Category: Champignon   Keywords: Sims, university, twins, redheads, Bachman

I haven't focussed on just one family lately.  So this entry is bit all over the place.

I sent the twins off to university where they met Katya (still languishing there after being in the same dorm as Dan and Hiroshi - she is finally in her senior year).  Francois is definitely the best looking of all the offspring in the game.

Francois

His brother, Pierre, is like his mother - always checking out a mirror.

Pierre

This dorm has lost its cook so the twins and Katya have to cook for themselves and, when the stocks run low, get groceries delivered!  Seems rather unfair but I don't know how to get a cook back.

Francois is studying physics and has dutifully done his term paper and assignments and gone on to Sophomore, despite the attractions of fellow female dormies.

Francois studying

The lazier Pierre, as you'd expect, went for the easy option and took Drama.

Devon Landchild is now a bit young for Francois but he visited Devon's cousin, Darlene.

Darlene and Francois

He has a penchant for redheads.  Katya was an obvious target.

Katya dances with Francois

Latest news - despite the difference in age (Katya about to finish uni and Francois only just started), Francois was so enamoured of Katya that he's proposed.  She accepted.  Will Francois be happy with one woman or will he cheat on her?  Will Raoul congratulate Francois or think he's a fool?

Over at the Bachman residence (Helen's ex-husband Leo), Gretchen had the baby - a boy she named Gunther.

Leo baby and Gretchen

Gretchen and Leo

Actually I've decided to split the posts - coming up - the Manieres.

Remington and the girls

by: apathetic   Category: Collie family

Remington found an older woman and made friends with her but there were just no sparks. He tried hitting on another older woman, Sophie. This relationship went much better. Remington was still keen on getting re-married, so he charmed and wooed her until she eventually agreed to marry him.

Remington and Sophie

Rem and Sophie in bed

They married at the wedding arch in the backyard, where he'd married Mellon.

Rem wedding

The girls have had no interraction with her at all so far.

Penny was now an adult but her life had been boyfriend-free up to now.

Penny

Devon had kissed and cuddled Francois Champignon and seemed to have no shortage of potential boyfriends. She went to the P.U.R.E nightclub and got to know more people. Penny figured it couldn't hurt going there as well.

 PURE

She worked part of the night as DJ and earned some cash and also got talking to a couple of men. Nothing was happening but she spied a hot blond guy just before she left, badly needing sleep. She quickly said hello so she could phone him later to get to know him.

Helen's child by Dan, grew into a toddler just before she grew into an elder. The boy's name is Daniel (surprise, surprise). Meanwhile Gretchen got pregnant to Leo. He wanted the child to be legitimate which meant he had to divorce Helen. So he invited Helen over and she was glad to see him. But then he dropped the bombshell.

Breakup

She tried to plead with him but he was adamant.

Pleading

She went away sobbing and Leo proposed to Gretchen who said yes and they married straight away.

An interesting thing happened at P.U.R.E while Penny was there. Victor Lillard was there also and hugged a woman friend of his. His wife's niece, Sonique, happened to see him and poked him angrily. He didn't like that and waited behind her for a chance to attack or abuse her, slamming his fist into his hand.

Victor

Naughty Victor. What is up with him? Mariane better watch out. She's now an elder – perhaps grey hair is a turn-off for him.

Over in Pleasantview

by: apathetic   Category: Kent   Keywords: Sims, Pleasantview

Last time we saw the family, Rob had visited his son, Robert, at Cara and Mike's place. Rob and Robert

Cara was pregnant with Mike's child.

Steve invited his friends, Mike and Rob, over to play music in his basement. His daughter, Teri, joined in on the piano.

Jammin'

A visiting dog (or wolf?) howled along with her.

Howling

An odd thing happened at Mike's place. He was about to put young Robert on the potty but had to go to work. Instead of putting Robert down, he took him with him to work!

Baby goes to work

The poor child was away from home the whole day and so was very hungry, dirty and tired by the time Mike returned from work. That was very odd. That same evening Robert grew into a child.

Mike and Cara moved out of that awful house and moved into a new house across the road, next door to Steve's. It was fully furnished. Cara was so tired she fell asleep at the toilet.

Asleep

But she had the baby the next day or so while everyone was out. She had a girl and called it Misha.

Cara and baby

Mike and Cara had a house party and Rob got to know his son better.

Robert child

Rob and Sinead followed suit, demolishing the small house they were in and building a bigger house. Now everyone had room for kids and music and parties.

Good god, it's back

by: apathetic   Keywords: Blogigo

I despaired of ever having access to my blog again.

I have at least 2 updates to post - if I can remember what happened that far back.

I began to think, after I complained about this site, that they purposely denied access to me.  "Don't like it, eh?  Well, fuck off and start another one."  Yeah.  Well.  I toyed with the idea of having a blog of life stories from each character's perspectives.  Perhaps not after all.

So, I'll be back in a few hours with a couple of updates and pics.

PS: The time problem seems to have been fixed - YAY!!!

Collie developments

by: apathetic   Category: Collie family   Keywords: Sims, cheating, reconciliation

Yes, the Collies are definitely the more interesting family.

Zaitrarrio's aspiration is certainly for money and possessions.  He'd already spent Sharlene's money on a huge sculpture and expensive car.  But his aspirations go much further.

Zaitrarrio, being that much younger, was naturally a bit tired of old Sharlene, who is now 65.  He invited townie, Demi Love, on a date to P.U.R.E.

Z and Demi

Demi and Z

He wanted to 'woohoo' in the car.  So out they went.

car woohoo

It was a dream date.  Z even proposed to Demi.  She accepted.

Z had the audacity to invite Demi to move in.  This didn't go down too well with Sharlene as you can imagine.  But Z went too far and flirted with a visiting woman he was friends with.  Demi caught him at it - I didn't actually see it but was concentrating on feeding the boy.  So Demi and Z were not the best of friends.  This didn't stop Demi and Sharlene getting into constant fights.

Z waited until his son, Hogan, grew into a teen, and moved out with Demi.  They moved into a house just down the road from Ben.

Sharlene had seen the error of her ways and started calling Ben again.  Any animosity he had towards her had long since gone.

Ben and Sharlene at Ben's place

Ben even tried proposing to her but she wasn't in the best of moods and rejected him.

He tried again later.

Ben and Sharlene at Sharlene's

This time Sharlene accepted and Ben moved back home, leaving Darlene, now an adult, to herself.  They re-married there and then without any ceremony.

Over at Ken and Elle's old house, where Adrian Sanders was a new resident, I decided to get rid of him since he didn't really interest me.  But I wanted to save the cat, so I had him adopt the cat out and sell all the furniture.  I then starved him to death, evil Sim god that I am.

Adrian's death

Death on the toilet

Death even went to the toilet before leaving.  The Sims creators certainly have a sense of humour.

The death of Gerd

by: apathetic   Category: Stein   Keywords: Sims, death

I knew his death was near which is why I got Jasmine back home from uni.  She found a job as a senior manager straight away but her first day of work was a day off.  She took the dog, Jagd for a walk, chatted online and had meals with Gerd who also had the day off.  Gerd was still working as a state assembly man.  One evening he invited Dan and his wife around (unaware that Jasmine knows Dan very well).  Dan and Jasmine kissed in the upstairs bathroom but didn't stop soon enough and Dan's wife, Veronica, caught them at it.  Little does she know that Dan has 2 other affairs going on as well, one of whom has just given birth to his son.

So the next evening came and Gerd had had a good day and even worked out a bit.  He gave Jagd a wash in the bath but just after that the Grim Reaper arrived.  Jagd started howling immediately.

Jagd howls

Gerd's death

Gerd was still in the bath!  He died at 67.

So now it was just Jasmine and Jagd.  Gerd had so few friends and family that the inheritence was split among just 3 people with Jasmine getting most of it.  She missed her adoptive father who'd never married or had a girlfriend.  Sad.

More recent Collie happenings

by: apathetic   Category: Collie family   Keywords: Sims, illegitimate, death

After the shock and upset of Leo, Helen and Ken and Elle, you’d think things would settle down.

First of all, Sharlene’s lover moved in.

Darlene had moved in with Ben, feeling more loyalty to her father than to her cheating mother.  (She barely interacted with her mother’s illegitimate son.  Denny, on the other hand, seemed to dote on it.)  So Sharlene felt freer about inviting the lover to move in without her daughter making her feel guilty.  The boy, Hogan, grew into a child just after his father moved in.

Hogan

The lover’s name is Zaitrarrio (I think - totally weird name).  Sharlene doesn’t plan to marry him – he’s so much younger than her – he’s more of a friend to Denny.

Z and Den dancing

Zaitrarrio(?) before and after I gave him a makeover to make him look older!

Zaitrarrio

One of Z’s aspirations is to marry someone rich.  Sharlene isn’t.

Both Leo and Helen ‘woohooed’ again with their respective lovers.

Leo and Gretchen

But Helen is now pregnant with Dan’s child.  Oh dear.  Will his wife find out?  Leo hasn’t moved out and, instead, has tried talking to Helen.

Leo

Steven invited them over to try and counsel them but Helen didn't hang around.  Even young Kenny tried to influence them to talk or hug but Helen just left.

Leo and Helen

Will Leo stay with Helen or leave?

Mellon reached the age of 66 and died just as she was about to call Ben.

Mellon dies

Remington and the girls were very upset.  Ben and the girls received an inheritance, as did a couple of Mellon’s ex-lovers.   Remington now wants to marry again and he has a bit of time left – but there aren’t too many available women his age around.  He visited the local art museum hoping to find someone there, but it was all young ones.  It just wouldn’t be right having a girlfriend his daughter’s age.

Penny grew into an adult a couple of days after her mother’s death.  She now wants to move out.

Over at the Champignon's

by: apathetic   Category: Champignon

Young Francois is quite the lady’s man already.  He had already visited Darlene Collie and been in their spa pool with her (before she moved out to live with her father, Ben) and he’d visited Devon Landchild and been in their spa pool with her there.  He invited Darlene over and their friendship ‘blossomed’ – he had his very first kiss.

A day later he invited Devon over and enjoyed a spa pool cuddling with her.

Sonique marries

by: apathetic   Category: Maniere family   Keywords: Sims, Wedding

Sonique organised for her wedding to Heinrich Tuborg.  She made sure she had a white dress and that Heinrich had suitable attire.  She got flowers for the garden and the wedding arch (facing the right way!) and seating.  It was all go.  Heinrich was due to start his new job that day (a Saturday too) but he didn’t go – no repeat of the Collie situation.  Invited guests included her aunt Mariane, Victor, her mother Genieve, Akiko Takahashi, Dan, the Ebadi boy she snogged in front of J-P and Dan while at university, Carla, and Johnson.  J-P was not invited.

The wedding went off well, but there are warning bells as Sonique thinks of Dan during the ceremony, while Heinrich is only thinking of Sonique as you can see.

Tragedy and scandal strikes the Collies once again

by: apathetic   Category: Collie family   Keywords: adultery, death, Fire

Helen and Leo were the perfect couple one thought.  But it seems Leo was quite friendly with a blonde by the name of Gretchen Stompel.  She visited one day and he went a little too far with the flirting.  Next thing they’re in bed together and having it off.  Then through the window I spied a car arriving.  Oh no, Helen had returned from work.  She came upstairs and caught them just getting out of bed.  She was not pleased!

Leo and Gretchen

As if in revenge, she went on a date with the object of her university-days lust – Dan the philosophy man, recently wed.  They met at the maze and had their photos taken but also “woohooed” inside the booth, egged on by those outside.  Tsk tsk.  Once back home, Helen hung the photo up for Leo to see.

Photo booth

Not to be outdone, Leo did the same thing, inviting Gretchen on a date to the same place.  Romantic photos of the cheating couples now hang side by side.  Oh dear.  Will they stay together?

Tragedy struck Ken and Elle.  A robber stole their spa pool and telescope and they were fuming.  It affected them so much they couldn’t concentrate.  So, when Ken was trying to cook dinner while Elle was at work, the kitchen caught fire.  She returned home to find him struggling to put the fire out himself.  There was no alarm and he was panicking too much to call the fire brigade.  Tragically, both got too close to the flames and died, leaving the cat, Toulouse, alone in the house.  The fire went out so the cat was safe but would have starved to death if not for the new owner of the house – Adrian Sanders, the gay roomie of Hiroshi and Katya.  As usual, I was too caught up in the action to take photos.  I'm still in shock!

Steven Collie, meanwhile, has grown into an elder and his son, Kenny is now a child.

And here's the bridge and pond which I ended up doing at the Lillard house instead of the Huntingdon's.

So what's new?

Basically nothing.  I've been trying to get Jasmine to finish uni and she's finally in her senior year with Hiroshi in his Junior and Akiko a little behind him.  It's taking a while.

I've been over to the Huntingdon house but nothing much is happening there.  Giles is a bit nutty, I think.  He keeps pointing at people and laughing and the rest of the family are twirling their finger around to indicate he is.  Not sure what happened to him.  I worked on their garden a bit and installed a sunken rose garden and fountain.  I'm thinking of putting in a bridge over a pond.  I'll upload photos of the place when I'm done.

Cordelia will go to university (sigh) but they all missed a day of school and work and dropped a grade so they have to get their grades up again.  The boy (who's name escapes me for the moment) is expected to go to private school so he has to do better.

That's all for the moment.  I've got 3 movies to watch over the weekend so may not get much Simming done in the next few days.

JP married

Well Jean-Philippe finally asked Heidi to marry him and she accepted.  They waited a couple of days (because it was during the week) but decided to have the wedding on a Friday instead of a Saturday because Raoul was due to become an elder on Saturday.  Perhaps JP wanted a younger dad in the photos.  Anyway, JP happened to be asleep when the wedding party started so I got Heidi to click on the wedding arch to get married.  I didn't know (always learning new stuff in this game) that that meant JP would take her surname.  Dammit!  So now J-P is Jean-Philippe Heineken!  Phooey.

I really must remember to change the formal clothing of the women.  They all end up with the same dress, dammit!

Heidi no longer wanted to live in the apartment, so they moved across the river to this place:

Turns out Heidi had plans for a bigger place for her kids.  She and JP are now expecting their first (and only?) child.

Oh, have to tell you!  Heidi kindly asked J-P's ex-girlfriend, Sonique, to the wedding.  Sonique was quite happy through the whole thing but the minute J-P kissed the bride she stormed up and slapped him.  Duh.  These Sims are a little thick.
