David Miscavige - at the Grand Opening of the Church of Scientology of London
On Sunday, the 22nd of October, 2006, Mr. David Miscavige was the guest of honor at the Grand Opening of the new Church of Scientology of London.
In his speech, he described the pivotal role London played in the history of the Scientology religion, in these terms:
"It’s my pleasure to join you on a day that genuinely qualifies as momentous -- a day when the moment we pull down that ribbon, it instantly goes down in history.
"Because, after all, while every new Ideal Central Org qualifies as historic, this one is especially so.
"For this is the city L. Ron Hubbard himself selected as home to the first Scientology Organization.
"This is also the city wherein he first defined the human spirit as an immortal being possessed of capabilities beyond anything predicted -- and so arrived at the axiomatic truths on which the whole of Scientology is founded."
