Mr. David Miscavige 1997 Opening Address Part 3

On March 14th, 1997, the L. Ron Hubbard Birthday Celebration took place at the spiritual mecca of Scientology, the Flag Land Base, in Clearwater, Florida.

The third part of Mr David Miscavige's address:

And yes, as we celebrate L. Ron Hubbard’s birthday tonight – real miracles are also happening right at the doorstep of present-day Earth civilization.

Let’s first move to South America.

Now among other tactical targets in the so-called “war on drugs,” is the northern Colombian state of La Guajira.

Included in the plans was talk of American-supported crop dusting, military and the rest of what comes to nothing.

     Why?

Because none of it hits at the source of the problem.

And that’s because they have no technology.

But, as you may recall, two years ago, the nation of Colombia saw a massive distribution of The Way to Happiness, sponsored by the Coca-Cola Bottling Company.

And on the heels of The Way to Happiness came distribution of L. Ron Hubbard, A Profile.

And from the Profile came some serious realizations.

For example, one copy made it into the hands of the President of the State University.

And from that came the implementation of L. Ron Hubbard’s study technology throughout the university.

Now you might often hear the phrase, “implementing L. Ron Hubbard’s study technology.” But in this case, we mean IMPLEMENT in block capital letters, as in, the main library of that university has now been renamed: The L. Ron Hubbard Hall of Study.

And even more to the point, just at the university, over 5,000 students have already graduated from courses based solely on Mr. Hubbard’s study technology.

But that was just the beginning. Word spread to other institutions.

     They too wanted the technology.

And to date, 229 educators, from 86 different educational institutions, have been trained on L. Ron Hubbard’s study technology. And, as we celebrate tonight, those educators are now delivering study technology courses in 13 different municipal districts to more than 30,000 enrolled students.
