The Gentleman And the 12 Apostles

  Twelve
Apostles

In 1963 when I was eight
years old my parents took my sister and I for a four day trip. At one stage we
visited Glenelg and I remember seeing rocks near the the beautiful sea. It
looked so beautiful that I thought that it couldn't be any more so.

  I noticed a whale rising
and plunging a few times. I wished I was able to be part of a company of the
whales. Another time I noticed I saw the
whale getting ready to be harpooned from one of the ships crew and taken by
them in shortly by being pulled in quickly with the harpoon and rope. [I asked
Colin how he felt about that; he said he felt happy because the whale might be
nice to eat. It was before lunch so he was probably feeling hungry].

  The rocks were
ever so gorge-ous it couldn't look any more ravin-ous . We saw the rocks from the car which
was near the cliff. We wanted to keep our distance from the cliff and not fall
down from...

A Gentleman's Opinion on Music

"My favourite style of music is Classical; in particular Chopin and
Beethoven. I also enjoy Benny Goodman.

I to listen to music of a night-time at home which I find very relaxing.

The music of Mozart in concert is exceptionally good and ever so
outstanding. Wouldn’t you agree?

I’ve got one of his concertos on CD.

Somedays we arrive home and get ready. We go outdoors to the park and
people from other parks come – and we listen to music. It is like the Crystal Palace.

  Crystal Palace is a
place in London
where people go for lovely concerts at which the music of Johan Strauss is sometimes
played.

Words to Audio

I'm currently editing a book of memoirs for a gentleman in his early 50's. The objective of the exercise is:

1. that he can accomplish a long held dream of getting something published

2. that he go through the process of getting something published

3. that he gets to work upon it with a team and thereby make new friends and contacts

4. that he can revisit different times of his life,

5. that he can communicate to the wider community what some of his more unique experiences and thoughts are like,

6. that he can get his work published at little or no cost

It should be noted, that this is NOT a commercial exercise. The objective is for the work to be published.

Although I say that it is a book of memoirs, in truth it is more of a
book of poems. Through this format, which appears to suit his writing
style better, it is hoped that his memories are drawn out and
illustrated.

Given that some of his memories are quite colourful and unique, we hope...
