A Gentleman's Thoughts
– Of Which You Should Be Apprised
Dear John Howard,
I know about your party. Robert Menzies was a pretty clever person in the Liberal Party since he was able to know all about all types of Australian politics and International politics. He even used the Transport Department of Australia. Do you?
Would you please make sure the public chooses a future leader - so we can have a good leader. Encourage them to vote for either Peter Costello or yourself - so you can win the election. I feel you may be able to win the election if you do this early enough.
By campaigning you can get to be in government for another term.
So the Liberal party could be a beaut party - like the father party when it was in power in the 1950s and 1960s.
When Robert Menzies was in power he was a wonderful Prime Minister for his party and did wonderful things; lowering inflation and providing better public transport.
During the eight years John Howard was in power, Peter Costello was in the Treasury Department with many good ideas worth being considered. He may even be a better politician than you. If he works hard he will be the better of the two of you and will be good enough for Prime Minister. Even as Deputy Prime Minister, together you can make the Liberal party the best it has been in the twenty first century.
It might be worth discussing whether you agree with me or vice versa on either of you being our two highest leader; one MP for Prime Minister the other for Deputy Prime Minister.
Do you see all of my points in the entire Liberal Party.
Regards, A Gentleman
