The write

by: Peace2

Last night, Before I went to bed, I read a touching story. It called  "The write". I was touched by the story. His name was Charles Dickens, author of A Christmas Carol. He fed himself when Charles was ten years old. He worked at factory and slept in a dismal attic room. He was eager for becomeing a writer, but Charles only four years of schooling, he had little confidence. One night, he sneaked to mail his first work with hoping because he was afraid to let people know. Day after day, he was waiting for someone else to responed to him. Fortunately, one was accepted, but he did not received any reward. However, the editor had praised his work, after his life had been changed. Finally, He became a famous writer. The story let me to recongized that passion is the degree of difficulty, we are willing to endure to accomplish the goal.

Breakthrough English

by: Peace2

Today, It is my frist time to write something without a topic, so I have no idea to start. What should I write? Finally, I decided to tell you how is my feeling when I learned English when I was young. Learning other language is too hard to me. I am looking back on my childhood  I failed in learned English. First, when I was primary school student, I used to fail English exam. Seconday, I tried to speak English with some foreign prople, but they totally did not understand , so I was very frustrated. I did not have any self-confidence in it. The English language seems to like a monster and lived in my heart. If I had to choose, I would not want to touch it.  Before I came here, a friend of mind told me that I have to spent time at least couple years to study elementary English. Then you migh feel more comfortable to talk with native speakers and writ. Now, I look like a baby to learn walking, eating and speaking all are basic skill when we are growing up, so I will do my best and never give up to learn it.

Introduce Myself

by: Peace2

Hi friends,

Howdy, I am Kris. I came from Hong Kong, China. I have been living in Dallas T.X. for a year and seven monthes. I don't have any relatives in US. Now, I am living with a classmate. I like studying English even though I am frustrated with it because English language is very interesting and fun. I don't doubt that English language is the most important on earth.

Before I coming here, a friend of mind told me that T.X. has a lot of tornado, ranges and cowboys, so I pictured I would be easy to meet many cowboys alsoI can see cows. Th cowboys wear a pair of old blue jeans, a leather boots, and a cowboy hat, but it is not true. In Dallas, I have never seen the cowboys. This is an interesting thing to me when I see many many birds stand a traffic lights or wires, this mean that I see a lot of black birds more than cows. Finally, I am glad that I am living in Dallas.

Sad Day

by: Peace2

I miss my family so much especially particular holidays. If I were in my hometown, I would not stop eating tradition food. My favorite tradition food is carrot cake. It make from carrot, flour, sausage and muushroom etc.

The most of important meaning of Chinese New year is family has a yearly reunion. They have big meal and go to night market after the dinner.

Married and senior people usually give a "red pocket money for unmarried and young folks.

I am sad because I can not celebrate with my family. Only have a lot of homework beside me.
