Sarah and I went to the beach today. There is a park there. It is still too cold to swim though. She loved it.

today, finally. She seems to do okay with it. We start out with 1/2 hour, 3 x per day, and work up to 3hours, 2x per day.

She needs this brace to prevent the bone in her foot from growing deformed , as she walks on the inside of her right foot.

Sarah has very mild Hemiplegia. It was caused by a difficult birth.Luckily though it is mild. Mentally she is great, and only her right leg, from the knee down, and her right arm, elbow to fingers, are effected. She will need to wear the brace until she starts kindergarten. We will tehn see if she may need botex injections into her heel, or surgery to legthen the heel cords. She will have occupational therapy, once she starts school, to help her with her fine motor skills, with the right hand.

Well Chad just left for his first day of work
He goes today and tomorrow from 9am-1pm.Then starts night shift full hours.

Well, Sarah was fitted for her brace today. we go back at 10 am on May 16, to get the brace.
Chad opened up his bank account today. First one for him. He starts work tomorrow morning from 9-12 for 2 days, then night shift. Approx hours will be from 9pm-7am. I am so happy for him. I hope this all works out.
