Same old Summer {continued}

After talking w/ dad I dash down the stairs and through the front door saying bye to Miss Hagerty, on my way to my best friend, Betsy, house. As useual their Ford station wagon is parked out side, with them packing things in it. Every summer she asks me if i want to go with her family on vacation and every summer i say no. After i said my good-byes i headed down town. Using the same route i use every summer. When i was walking away from the Garden Theater i see a sign that says :

A festival of FUN. carnival parade

June 25th.

I hope i have enough mony so i could go. It sounds enteresting. When i came home i heard mom and Nana talking. They said something about the death of Hayden. I wonder which Hayden they mean. Uncle Hayden or grandfather Hayden? After Nana leaves after lunch i go sit on the porch for a while then help around the house. After we had dinner i went back out to the front porch for a while until dad calls me inside. Youd never guess what mom and dad said. I have another uncle. Uncle Adam. He has mental problams. Why didnt they tell me anything about him? Why did they hide him form me. So now hes comeing here to look for another school cuz his old school shut down.

I wonder what he is like?

Same old Summer

Early summer morning,not even 6:30, i can feel the humidity seeping through my bedroom window. Everything i touch is damp. I'm the onlt one awake right now. So i sit in bed for a while, just listining to the birds. I was'nt going to waste my summer in bed so i got up, put on my sandels, shorts, and my sleeveless blouse(the one Miss Hagerty made for me.). I tiptoe downstairs and into the kitchen. Good thing i'm still the first one up. I like haveing the kitchen all to myself so i can fix breakfast. But first i set some things out for Cookie when she arrives( shes our cook). Now its 7:15, and all of a sudden the kitchen comes alive. Cokkie bustles in, mom and dad slothly come in, still in their pjs. I take Miss Hagerty's breakfast tray up to her. While she is buttering her toast i ask her the question: "What's wrong with being shy?" She replys: "Nothing at all, Dearie. Why?" I dont know. "Well, dont you worry about getting a boyfriend. Trust me, even shy girls get boyfriends." Wher that came from I have no idea. But its something to think about.^_^ I wonder what it would be like to have a boyfriend? I leave Miss Hagerty's room and take her tray downstairs to join mom and dad for breakfast. After breakfast everyone hurrys off to do their own thing. I follow dad up stairs to his third-floor studio. Rushing up there i almost trampled over his project. Dad was making an animated movie called "Queen for a Day". Its about a very mean cardboard queen with curly hair chases her husband ,the king, all around thier castle, trying to kill him. In the end the king wins and chops off the queen's head. Its 3 and a half minutes long. The dad tells me Nana is coming for lunch. oh great.
