The brief note at this weblink (http://www.escapemigraine.com/) describes how some migraines are being attributed to the same small hole in the heart that you recently had fixed. Though the detail points to it's effect (from the hole) being most evident after stroke, it is still an interesting coincidence that Alex is having similar headaches to what you had at her age. Maybe there is a connection? Food for thought, anyway.
