Life. . .

by: LoJo

Well, I have recently had more of a interest in blog sites, and thought I would use it as my personal journal.  I have wanted to document my thoughts and think this will be a neat way to do it since I would love to type them over writing them out.  So, we'll see how this goes. . . .

God has shown me so much today.  I've been learning a lot about the working of the Holy Spirit, and have been trying to implement some disciplines into my life as far as how to live by the spirit.  One definite is a daily quiet time, preferably in the morning, before the business of the day begins and before my 20 mo. old little boy gets out of bed.  My quiet times usually consist of the following--praising God for His greatness, pouring out myself to Him through confession of sins and expressing concerns, allowing God to pour Himself into me through studying the scriptures and then praying that I can be His hands and feet on this earth throughout the day.  Some people talk about being centered or a time of meditation-that is what this quiet time does for me.  It prepares me for the day and allows me to let go of my natural tendencies and to allow God to control my thoughts, my actions and my reactions.  Living life filled with the Holy Spirit has made a dramatic change on my life.  I truly do have a desire to search and know God--the verse I read yesterday:  Jeremiah 29:13 "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

"Lord, help me to continue following after You.  May the spirit inside me resonate with your Holy Spirit, and may I be able to perceive, discern and have insight developed in me through the power of the Holy Spirit.  What an incredible power the Holy Spirit has!  Lord-you have prompted me to pray for something large that is going to happen in mine and TJ's life.  Please prepare us and continually guide us in the direction You have mapped out for our lives!  I love you!!!"
