Nearly hump day...

Mood: Thoughtful

Well howdy!

A big to Tink!!  I hope you had a wonderful day!!

Just some things that are on my mind:

Chain e-mails - do people actually believe that if they don't pass on junk e-mails, that they will have bad luck forever??  I received one today titled "The Keeper", which followed with 10 questions God will ask you on The Day, number 10 being "God won't have to ask how many people you forwarded this to; He already knows your decision."  ARE YOU KIDDING ME?  I believe chain e-mails have sunk to a new low by adding in a guilt trip about God.  I also received a rather ironic e-mail from Betty about "friendship".  Rather amusing considering she does not like me!!  The e-mail instructed me to forward it on to 15 people, "including the person that sent it to you, so they know you value their friendship".  Ooops, instead of proving the "friendship" I value with Betty, I deleted the stupid thing.

Drink spiking - a big issue these days, you can never be too careful with your drinks when you're out.  Yet at a popular night spot here, I asked for a glass of water, which was poured from an open jug sitting just beneath the top counter and easily accessible to anyone who might have wanted to drop some unknown substance in it.  Not impressed.

Cheaters - my favourite show on TV, but I will never understand why people do it.  One of my favourite websites is grouphug.com, an anonymous confessions site.  You would not believe the amount of people that confess their infidelity on there.  WHY do people bother being in a relationship when all they want to do is sleep around??

Death - a 14 year old girl got hit by a train after she ran across the train tracks to the platform, and was trying to climb up when she got hit by a train and died instantly.  Her last words to her mother were "I can make it" after her mother yelled at her not to go.  Heartbreaking.  And also the poor lady whose 3 young sons were killed when the car they were in veered off the road and into a dam, drowning the little boys.  She is constantly in my thoughts.  Imagine one day having a family, and the next they're gone.  I really feel for her.  How can someone pick up and keep going on with life when they've lost so much?

Anyway, I think that's enough for now!

Until next time.
