Listening to: The Offspring- Why Don't You Get A Job?
I don't know why I'm writing again......but there is just nothing to do right now....can't watch T.V. because all that's on is that telethon/benefit concert thing for Hurricane Relief.....my mom just screamed up the stairs that Green Day was playing, like she's expecting me to come galloping down the stairs.....but, I don't know, I don't like watching bands on T.V, and since I've seen them live, there's just no going back 
.......what an odd smiley.....
ANYWAY......I don't know what to do, I think that it ends at 9PM, so I only have about 15 min. left to do nothing.......so.......
I guess I'll just listen to some music.....i've finished listening to blink-182's Dude Ranch (at first I didn't like it too much, but now it's grown on me, and I really like it.....especially the song 'Josie'). That album's pretty old....the drummer in this one is a guy named Scott, as opposed to the more familar Travis.....(I don't remember last names.....
)
Now I'm listening to The Offspring's Greatest Hits.....I want to get their other albums...but when I went to the store...this is all they had......oh well.....it's pretty good and I recognize most of the songs from the radio etc......oh, man......the r.a.d.i.o......don't even get me started on THAT!!!!!

The radio has become the bane of the music industry, I'd rate it a close second to what became of MTV.....as opposed to MTV, the radio does still play music, of course.......but now they mostly just play the "popular" songs of recent release.....not always, but most of the time. I listen to my local rock/alternative station here, and this one isn't too bad, they usually play from a variety of artists albums and such....but let me just give an example.....
Now, if people have been reading this blog...(sometimes I wonder....) then they know that Green Day is one of my favorite bands......ok....well when 'American Idiot' came out, i swear, every time that I turned on the radio, all I heard were songs from that album....the same 4 "best of the album" songs......now, (1) I don't like being told which songs I should like the best and (2) It took about 4-5 months after the release of that new album for the station to even begin playing some of the oldies-but-goodies from their past tracks.....It's not like I rely on the radio to play those songs so that I could finally hear them (I have all their old CDs), but it would just be nice to a have a little more variety in what I'm listening to, not the same 6-8 artists who have new stuff out at the time.........
Whew.....I've been wanting to say that for a very long time!!!!!!
......do I lecture too much?? Please tell me if I do....its just that I don't usually express my feeling like this in the "real world"....well, its 9pm...need to go!!!
