All's fair...
Mood: tired
Listening to: silence...its nice :)
I am pretty tired, so i will make this entry quick...
Today I went to the city with my class to see the play, Journey's End...I thought that it wouldn't that interesting to see, mainly because we had read it in class and were already familiar with the plot and such...but it was actually quite enjoyable to watch...the ending was a suprise because we hadn't gotten to that point in class yet...and I am glad I hadn't read ahead....I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it....but the ending is pretty intense...
This was my first Broadway play...the only other plays I've seen were school productions...I also went to see Cats many years ago...but I think it was a more localized production.....anyway, the whole experience was very enjoyable!
At the beginning of the trip we went to the New York Public Library to see an exhibition of some kind....men's fashion through the ages....:::yawn:::
We were allowed to go off into smaller groups and my group was finished in about 20 minutes or so...and we had about 2hours left before the play started....so we decided to leave the library and go off exploring for a while....
Even though I would never want to actually live in the city...I really like wandering around parts of it....mostly Times Square and places like that...its always busy and people are everywhere! I really feel like a country bumpkin whenever I go down there...which isn't too often, its very fascinating! We ate lunch at a small deli/cafe and then decided to go to the giant Toys R' Us store in Times Square...I bought Pop Rocks....maybe later I'll wash them down with a nice Coke...
After that it was time to meet up with the rest and go into the theatre...it was pretty cool....i had a good time....the seats weren't too comfortable though and the rows and aisles were really skinny, my legs barely fit behind the seat in front of me, and when I had to get up to let some people get out of the aisle, this real bitchy lady told me that I was in her way....i was going to sit back down in another 2 seconds or so....but I guess she was so impatient to get to her seat, which was only 1 row down from where we were sitting....she also pissed a lot of people off by putting her coat on other seats...i don't know why she just couldn't hold it in her lap like everyone else.....people are so fucking stupid! Whatever....
Ok...well, I wrote a lot more than I thought I would....I tired....maybe I'll go to bed now....
