Well, I had one more "suprise" last night during dinner....a whole bunch of family members showed up too...I kinda had a feeling that this would happen because my paretns do not keep secrets very well, and they thought that they were being "oh so secretive" by having all my relatives call me to wish me a happy birthday....they have never done this before....so...I was suspicious.....still, it was nice, and I'm glad it's over...

Today is the day.....I'm starting one of my college essays TONIGHT!!! I'll just start with an outline or something, and I'll bring it to school to work on it during my study halls...hmmmm.....

I'll leaving now.....maybe I should start my annual Christmas countdown??? Nah....I'll start it tomorrow.....

First of all...I would like to thank Blogigo for the loverly birthday gift....no banners for 3 whole weeks...I like it....

I was able to open one of my presents this morning before school...I was suprised....my parents got me a cell phone...I glad because now I won't have to waste time trying to either find a working pay phone or asking people to use their phone ( the answer is no most of time....) Unfortunately, they had to order it on the computer so it won't be here until Thursday or Friday....I've been wanting to get one of those "Real CD" ringtones (you know....get your favorite songs.....) So, I'll be trying that when I get it....

Right now I'm looking a the rest of my gifts...cruelly(spelling?)sitting out in the open, yet I can't touch them until my dad gets home.....:::twiddling thumbs::::

Maybe I'll have an update later.....now...

I think that I got some nice things....and now I'm off to my birthday dinner where I'll be publicly humiliated when all the waiter come screaming the "Happy Birthday" song and making me kiss some disease ridden hand puppet moose.....oh joy....

Thanksgiving break went way too fast...it was so hard getting up this morning...

Busy week ahead...tomorrow's my birthday...(YAY), Wednesday I need to bring in some recommendation forms to my guidance counselor, address envelopes for my teacher to mail his recommendations.....blah,blah,blah....

3 weeks until Christmas break...I plan on having all of my college things mailed out by then....wish me luck!!!! I'll need it, as I have yet to start on my essays....yikes....

Whew....Thanksgiving was nice this year...real quiet....

Well....I hope everyone had a good holiday.....I odn't have too much to say today...it' s pretty boring right now....

It snowed yesterday, there was probably less than an inch, but it was the first snowfall of the year and it really made Thanksgiving feel almost like Christmas, which was kind of annoying....I'm already being inundated with Christmas ads, T.V. commercials, and music..I don't need it to come any quicker!!!

Oh goody...no more german blogigo.....did anyone else experience that? It was odd....

Anyway....got a lot of stuff done today...vaccumed(is that how you spell it?) my room, gave my dog a bath....real exciting stuff.......unfortunately I haven't been able to make the pies/cake because my mom has yet to come back with some of the ingredients....I can't believe she waited until the day BEFORE Thanksgiving to get stuff....there's probably nothing left....Oh well....

I should be making an entry tomorrow....but if I don't I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, and to remind you all there's

Whew....for a while I was worried that Blogigo would never come back online....but it did....I'm happy about that...but, I got so much to write now.....

Let's start with what I wanted to put down on Friday: my personal review of the newest Harry Potter movie....Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire...

While I'm still kind of mad that I wasn't able to say what I wanted BEFORE the movie officially came out...I though that this movie was all flash and had very little depth to it....it seems that there was more focus on all the action and special effects going on than on any real dialoge....which is kind of ironic because I read an interview of the new director and HE said that he really tried to keep the effects down to a minimum....did he see the same movie as me??!!  Throughout the entire thing I kept saying to myself...is there going to be any talking about things rather than Ron's repeated "Bloody Hell"s and the fact that the three "friends" didn't do too much talking at all.....to each other at least....

All in all...I thought that the actor's acting was pretty good...for all the acting that they actually did....but the movie itself didn't do the book justice....too many important (if small) things were missed, and some were pretty key....like.......well, I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it.. (hint.....Quidditch) HEY..who thinks that the dragon should be nominated for an oscar?? It had the best part....all created on a computer....that's how it is now....

Well...I'm done with that....I just want to add that I was able to sign up for the Green Day guitar contest....and I didn't win...but I still felt better knowing that I tried.....

This was the best week at school....it was only two days.....plus I finally got the courage up to ask one of my teachers for a recomendation for college....I just had a tough time with it...trying to figure out who I should ask (I ended up choosing my AP Gov't) teacher), filling out this worksheet about all the "great" stuff I've done in my 4 years of high school....(it was not as full as I would have liked.....), but still, I asked and it's over and done with....

Thanksgiving is coming up...I'll be making pies (one pumpkin and one apple) and my own birthday cake...(we celebrate it with family on Thanksgiving...just because it's easier....), I'm thinking something that could create a sugar-induced coma, like chocolate cake with chocolate frosting...something good....NO MORE BROWNIES FOR ME!!! I've upgraded.....(don't ask.....)

Nothing's really wrong...but I can't get a ride down to the contest site....(Green Day guitar.....etc).....so...I've lost my chance....I really need to get my license...I'm just too lazy....so I still have my permit (I've had it for almost a year....)

I'm pretty excited for tonight though....I'm going to an advance screening of the new Harry Potter movie....I heard that it's supposed to really good....It got 4 stars in the movie guide....so I'll keep my fingers crossed.....

One more day 'til the weekend! Yay!! Plus...there's only 2 days of school next week because of Thanksgiving recess.....should be a short week....my favorite kind.....

My hopes are all but dashed....my local radio station, WRRV (home of the new rock alternative), is giving away a guitar autographed by Green Day...and since this is a local thing I thought, "HEY! I got a good chance here to win this thing!!"..but, that is now not the case..it seems that every fan site now has the info on it...and I'm sure there will be some hardcore fans coming into town to win it....

I really wanted it...and I've pretty lucky at winning these sorts of things....I'm mean, I did win those Weezer/Foo Fighters tickets...(although, I did have to wait by the radio for nearly 9 hours to do it....)but in this contest...I have no control over it....none whatsoever.....anyway...I guess I won't have to clear a space on my wall to have it mounted....(ok...I'm getting a little ahead of myself....

Anyway...I tried to write yesterday...but there must have been something wrong with the site...because it wouldn't let me make an entry...don't know why....

So...my trip was nice...if not too short....we ended up staying in the "deluxe" room because the hotel made a mistake (deluxe meaning having a sofa and a small refrigerator/microwave), but, here's the kicker.....they still made us pay the extra 50 dollars a night because we "failed to report the mistake", but in fact, Friday night the room size was questioned, and the manager insisted that it was just all of the new improvements that they had made...so...that was that.....in the end they did take 10% off our bill....I guess it's better than nothing....

I can't wait for Thursday...my Dad was able to get 2 tickets for the advanced screening of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire...and he's taking me for my birthday...even though the books are 100% better than the movies (I actually can't stand the actors playing Harry and Hermione....the kid playing Ron is pretty good...), I still enjoy seeing the movies....I think that as the "years" go by...the movies do seem to get a bit better....the actors are more comfortable in their roles, etc....I hope it's good...it sure has been getting a lot of hype....

 I've passed the 1,00th mark!!! 1000+ people have vistited this blog....such a nice feeling!!!!

Well.....I haven't written in a few days basically because nothing much is going on here.....:::sigh::: my life is pretty boring...for now....

This weekend I'm going away to Massachusetts...with my mom...yeah....well, it's kind of a tradition now...but I usually have a pretty good time anyway....I love staying in hotels...everything just seems "new and different"...I'm weird that way...

Well....I'll be back on Sunday...maybe I'll have more time to write...

Ugh....it's Monday once again.....these weekends go way too fast...

Well....yesterday we had a little celebration for my grandfather's birthday..so that was nice, I spent a lot of the time playing tag with my younger cousins...man, those little kids sure wore me out!!

I can't wait for Friday (no school), plus, I'm going away to Massachusetts (I think that's how you spell it...) we're going to Old Sturbridge Village....I like it there, it's sort of a historical site..its nice...I've been going there for three years, familiarity can be nice sometimes...

Anyway..that's pretty much it......oops! Almost forgot...

yes it's true...my 17th birthday is coming up...pretty soon I'll won't feel so young..being 16 and a senior in high school is weird ...people think that I skipped a grade or something, but I did not...I just was born 3 days before the cut-off date...made it by the skin of my teeth....

ANYWAY.....i'll be doing the countdown for the rest of the month....so.....??

Tomorrow's Friday....I can't believe how quick the weeks are going, pretty soon it'll be summer again.....(just my wishful thinking....)

You know....maybe I was a little too critical yesterday...it's just what I think....but, hey...what do I know?

I think that's it's a good song....maybe not one of my favorites....but, still it's got some good stuff in it.....there I just wanted that out in the open....

Now....I can't wait to get a copy of their new DVD, "Bullet in a Bible"...it's supposed to be really great....I guess I'll just have to find out myself...

I'm just not in a talkative mood today...I'm tired....and school is really taking it's time to finish up for the week....I'm going now...

Well...I didn't help out too much yesterday...I spent most of the night on my lazy ass watching cable (I don't have it at home...so if I go somewhere with it..I get a little obsessed....)

Watched a bunch of music videos on TRL?(is that what it's called?) and during the ones I didn't like...I watched some some show on VH1....I don't even remember what it was....

Anyway...I was able to see that new Green Day video (Wake me up When September Ends.....) and I don't know what the hype over it is....I thought that it was one of their worst videos to date...I mean all it showed was this young couple who really seemed to like hanging out in grassy meadows.....and then the band playing on some sound stage....and then part of (I'm guessing) the war in Iraq....you barely saw them (Green Day) at all...isn't that the point of music videos..to be able to watch the band perform in a creative way???!!!

That is the part that pissed me off the most....now, I understand that this album is very politically charged....I mean it's pretty obvious.....but, this was one of the few songs that seemed to push that all away, and was about something more meaningful...I think Billie Joe was writing it about his father....but anyone who lost someone close (or not so close) would be able to understand...instead of a scene that pertained to that..(or I wouldn't have minded just seeing the band playing), we see scenes for a war of some kind....I am so fucking sick of seeing these images ,what with the media (T.V., newspapers, magazines, etc..)showing the same stuff over and over again...I'm just tired of it...and I realize that no one cares what i think...

One more thing....is that guy Jason White now an offical member of the band? He's in that video....why? All of a sudden, he's everywhere...playing in the concerts....on the CDs.....

They need to go back to their roots....back to the three of them......back to when they first came on the "music scene"....their commercialization is ridiculous...did you know that they now have a NASCAR car??!!!

Sidenote: no one really cares....but I think that their best video was "Longview", it was new and different, and just cool....plus I've been trying to find the video of "Macy's Day Parade", I've seen the stills so I know that they made one....but it wasn't on Supervideos...so maybe I'll never see it.....

I know that this is a really long entry, but i just wanted to add one more thing....I just finished my senior quote and I just wanted to jot it down....I'm so proud of it...been working on it for a while (I dumb...I know), here it is.....
