Nearly missed it
A series of tough days sunbathing and swimming meant that when the 31st came round, it was all a bit of a shock. Dates had become irrellevant and - convinced that it was the 30th - a night with a masaman curry and King Kong was planned. Imagine the surprise when the party invites came in. Still, a shower, some make up (on Sabrina you understand) and a cheeky vodka kick-started the eve.
Since arriving in Khao Lak, one eatery has been frequented regularly - Weerapat's Kitchen. It's the cheapest, freshest, friendliest joint in town and was naturally the choice destination for N.Y.E. And yet still they out-did-themselves by rustling up a huge tasty Thai spread, handing out the beers and declaring it all to be free! Much vodka, fireworks and lantern-lighting saw out the night.
Oh, and another thing:
HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone!

Wish I had it as tough as you I could do with a bit of sun! Pat\'s spoiling you all but I guess it\'s their way of saying thanks for all that you\'re all doing. I was listening to the radio a few weeks back and Khao Lak was mentioned as a charity fund raiser for the area reached the target of £1m, hope KL actually gets to see it! Keep well, take care and hope 2006 is a fantastic year for you both.
Got my own laptop now Jay!! Took me two days to work out how to get the sound up on a DVD. hey ho.
