<title>Photos from Hong Kong</title>
<description>   &amp;nbsp; 
    A rare (sucessful) self-timer shot with both of us. &amp;nbsp; Enjoying a short rest while exploring Kowloon Walled City, up in the Mong Kok area.&amp;nbsp; The walled city was a fortress through both Chinese &amp;amp; English rule here, but in most recent history was a slum covered with illegal buildings &amp;amp; rampant triad gangs.&amp;nbsp; In 1994 the goverment decided to tear it down, preserve the antiquities of interest &amp;amp; create a garden for all to enjoy.&amp;nbsp; This shot is taken in the almshouse where artilery was kept, now has historic information &amp;amp; a chinese teahouse, where we enjoyed a local brew.   
     
    Hong Kong at night. &amp;nbsp; Taken from Anthony Pearce&#039;s apartment window - we&#039;re looking down on 40 story buildings!&amp;nbsp; the high rises are built going up the hill which makes the overall effect even more vertigo-inducing!
