Saturday Six
Mood: Good
Listening to: Soundscapes on Charter Cable Music Channel

Pilchard1710 was first to play last week. Congratulations!
It was also Leslie's first time to play, so be sure to visit her journal.
Here are this week's "Saturday Six." Either answer the questions in a comment here, or put the answers in an entry on your journal...but either way, leave a link to your journal so that everyone else can visit! If you don't have an AOL journal, you can still play, but of course you'll at least need an AOL screen name, which you can get for free with AOL Instant Messenger, to be able to leave a comment here. To be counted as "first to play," you must be the first player to either answer the questions in a comment or to provide a complete link to the specific entry in your journal in which you answer the questions. A link to your journal in general cannot count. (Again, if you're playing for the first time, please be sure to say so in the comment!) Enjoy!
1. Who is the last performer you saw live in concert? What is the last film you saw at a theater? Which was more worth the money you paid?
Last Concert? Cher or Bette Middler, I can't remember which. Movie ?: The new Star Wars. I enjoyed both, but I think I do enjoy live performances more.
2. What do you do more of in a typical day: work, sleep, eat, exercise. watch TV, surf the web?
Currently I paint watercolors more than anything else. The Web is a close second.
3. Your office brings in a new drink machine and it's your job to fill the eight selection slots. What drinks (non-alcholic, of course) do you select?
1)Water: Evian or Perrier (Lemon) 2)Real Southern Sweet Iced Tea like Fannie-Mae used to make for us when I was little. Coffee brewed fresh (any flavor I want) 3)Grape Nehi's in the little nottles. 4) Ginger Ale 5) Dr Pepper 6) Smoothies (and fruit flavors you want) 7)Hemlock tea (for the more irritating cube-mates!)
4. Take the quiz: What is your expression number? Do you agree with the description it gives you? What do you disagree with most?
Your Expression Number is 1 You have the skills to be a top executive or businessperson.
But first you must develop your natural capacity to be a good leader.
You are truly original - with a creative approach to life and a very sharp mind.
You reach for the sky, and you have the potential to reach it.
Assertive and straight forward, you have little need for supervision.
You are self-confident, self-reliant, and courageous in your convictions.
While you sometimes fear loneliness, you prefer to be left alone.
A bit self centered, you may be hard to life with at times.
You also have a strong dominant streak - which can push others away at times.
Dang, the pressure of it all!!!! LOL
I think that's pretty much on the money for me, I'm sad to say. I need to work on my people skills, always. I get impatient with people sometimes, and I am afraid of a lot of them, most times. So that's no included in that list. I also know that when I love someone, that dominant streak can come out, mostly shen I am tired, but the reason is that I want the absolute best for that person, and I get a little wound up about it, thats all. Need to work on that, too. The list goes on and on. I know I'll never finish it.
5. Counting all light fixtures and lamps in your home, how many bulbs do you have in place, and how many of them are on right now?
9 in place, 4 on. I can't stand overhead light, so I do the lamp thing.
6. READER'S CHOICE QUESTION #55 from
"Oh, I can't think about that now, I'll just think about that tomorrow. If I think about that now... I'll just go all to pieces." -Scarlett O'Hara Gone with The Wind
She was the Ultimate Survivor. She could plan ahead, but had the sense and toughness required to ignore (for the moment) situations that she could do nothing about, or that would hinder her achieving the task at hand. I'd like to be more like that. (the beautiful part, too!) LOL
If you have a Reader's Choice question you'd like to see asked (and answered), click the e-mail link on the About Me bar and send it to me.
MY ANSWERS:
1. Tina Turner; "The Amityville Horror." The concert was free, so it was definitely worth the money. 'Horror' was okay, but not worth the total I paid at the theater.
2. A close tie between watching TV and surfing the web. I think TV still wins. I'd like to exercise more, but I think I probably need more sleep!
3. Regular Coke, Diet Coke with Splenda (not because I like the taste so much as I am concerned about aspartame), Diet Pepsi, Bottled Water, Sprite, Cherry Coke (for a co-worker who would be miffed if I didn't include it), Ginger Ale and for the more health conscious, V8.
4. My expression number is 4:
Practical and down to earth - everything in your life is organized. You are a great writer and teacher. You never forget a detail. Very patient, you have the ability to cultivate talents in difficult fields. You also tend to have an artistic side. You'd make a great architect or classical musician. You face your responsibilities with a positive attitude - and you always get things done. You are serious, sincere, honest, and faithful. Sometimes your strong sense of responsibility leads to frustration. You also tend to develop strong likes and dislikes, which border on dogmatism. At you're worst, you can be a dominant disciplinarian.
I guess it describes me fairly well, though the classical musician or architect bit is way off. I hate the math and engineering required for architecture, and I can't carry a tune in an oversized wheelbarrow.
5. 17 bulbs; 6 are lit right now.
6. It's hard to pick a single favorite...but I think it would have to be from Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho:" "We all go a little mad sometimes." I relate to that on a variety of levels.
Well, here we are. My family. There's Scribby, the little white guy on the left, and MieMoe, the enchanting black cocker on the right. I'm in the middle. We reside in
