No Asteriks Needed: Congress Gets Aggressive
The commissioner of Baseball says there is no need to put any asteriks next to the recent records that have been broken by suspected steroid abusers. House Committees have also issued subpoenas to players and managers who have been invited to speak in front of Congress but have not responded. Rep. Tom Davis stated "We'll use the subpoena to get them there if that's what we have to do."

Bigger Business than Narcotics
As I've said before there is big money and business in dealing with steroids and other performance enhancing drugs. Drugs and distributors in the world of bodybuilding are making more money than some narcotics. They are becoming more available and thus more dangerous. It is becoming much bigger than a sports issue now. It is becoming a major health issue.

Your Tax Dollars At Work
Well I didn't want to focus too much on Jose Canseco regarding the isssues of the performance-enhancing drugs, our culture, and business but he just won't go away. Congress is now spending your hard earned tax dollars to hear him speak under oath regarding this drug situation. Hopefully this will shine some truth on this situation. The good thing is that Congress is expressing thier concern over drugs in out culture and what it is doing to sports. Jose will answering questions in a hearing that could result in Congressional actions over drugs and baseball.
