Beefy Or Peachy

Well hubby won't miss a Top Chef cooking show as it is one of his favorites among all the cooking shows now on the air. Tonight was more of the 'behind the scenes' kind of look at the chefs and how they dealt with no cell phones and very little to do with their 'normal' worlds. Some of them came off snooty to me and others were still the drama queens and a few seemed like genuinely neat people who like to cook. I think some of the hype could go and I would enjoy watching it a little bit more.

I suppose inquiring minds want to know what these cooks are really like once they are out of the kitchen and their aprons off. Do you think this special really showed you that? It showed a lot of them saying them F word getting bleeped out and some of the arguments that we've already seen, but what did it show us that is new? It certainly isn't news that Padma doesn't always dress like she has a place in a kitchen except to ask what's for dinner or to add some sunshine with her cleavage and smile. A lovely looking lady but it seems to me she is only there to draw more men into watching the show, period.

I think the show is a bit full of itself for my taste, but that is just my humble opinion, lol.

Well since all of these changes have been made it feels like we have moved to a new place, lol! So today while hubby still has those moving discs he is going to swap places with our futon and love seat in the living room. It will open up the room more and put the love seat in front of the window and it will also show off the french doors going out to the patio .

I can only watch and give suggestions but it is giving my morale a boost since the pain continues to try and drag me down. I think my niece has enjoyed the project and she has a truly loving heart. Her smile lights up the room!

Due to the fact that I can be closer to the bathroom and be in the bedroom with a view my niece and hubby uprooted both rooms and have redorated them completely! She is coming over tomorrow night to help finish our old bedroom with rearranging and decoration. In the middle of this she was doing laundry and cleaning the kitchen. That girl has so much energy I would love 1/10th of it. She is just so loving and thoughtful.

Hubby is completely worn out because many of the items were heavy and today was his first day of managing his own team :).

I'm worn out from all of the activity and change and not having much say in what was being done for me, lol. I'm grateful so I'll try to keep my little remarks to myself albeit hard to do!

Well it took every ounce of restaint yesterday to keep from cutting my own bangs. I hate it when they droop down over my eyes. With the shape of my face being what it is I can't go without them and most sylists leave them too long for me and I have to ask for them to cut them shorter. I guess some people like them hanging over their face but not me. I am also trying to let my layers grow out as it is harder to keep it looking as good when you have these shorter layers winging out all the place, lol.

Our friends' lap band surgery is tomorrow morning so she's getting abit nervous about it as she's never had to have surgery before in her life. She is also excited as she's lost weight just preparing for the surgery. Hubby will get to see first hand all he is going to go thru before he gets it done next year. If I can ever get up and around again I'm sure I will lose some weight. After today I want the two of us to go on a liquid diet for a week to get some weight off before I have to have knee surgery. They say every 5lbs less is easier on your heart so it will be worth the effort.

My cat Jordan is laying here watching me type deciding if he wants to help me or lay over the keyboard! I can feel him thinking about it, lol.

Well with our little refund from the IRS we are splurging and buying a new and comfortable Love Seat for our living room. Hubby rearranged the living room last night and a friend of ours is going to pick it up for us and deliver it to us as a favor :).

A little something to make it possible for me to sit out there with him and be comfortable otherwise he is often out there while I am alone in the bedroom :(. Sometimes we are both in here on our computers at the same time playing games or surfing :).
