Beefy Or Peachy

Well I needed a gift to send to my daughter in law so I did that last night using my Seventh Avenue account. I also needed a new coverlet for our bed as we need a cooler one during the summer. I ordered a simple but pretty sage and white spread with matching shams. I will be so glad when it arrives as what we have now is too warm.

I didn't overdo today with chores. I did the dishes and some laundry and that was about it. The rest of the time I rested my leg and made some phone calls to friends and family.

My friend who just had the lap band surgery sounded a bit down today. She sees her counselor tomorrow and I think the timing is rightl Maybe some post op depression, I'm not sure.

I still can't believe my son will be here Wednesday morning! Oh la la. I know it won't all be easy but we will all make it work out ok.

Well I had a gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket from my birthday so hubby wheeled me around Dillards to look for a pair of cropped jeans. I found a nice comfy pair and some intimates too! Then I used my crutches to get into Mervyns and found a few cool tops to wear for the hotter weather. That was as much as my knee could take with the walking and changing of clothes. It was nice to get out and to get a few things I needed for the summer :).

Just put in some laundry and we are going to watch a movie together.

Well our 2 year contract finally ended with Qwest and we have now signed on with T-Mobile with the Motorola Magenta Razr phone. Hubby got the black Razr and his plays music so he's all happy. These phones do so much it will take me awhile to learn all the features, lol. I did manage to enter my 5 Favs that we can call anytime at no charge so we have dropped our long distance on our home phone as we no longer need that service. Now we just have to wait and see if we have a lot of dropped calls or if the service is as good as the ratings indicated. We had many dropped calls with Qwest and our phones were antiquated and no fancy features.

Well that is our new toy to learn how to use !

One of the meds I had to take recently is making me feel abit funky so I'll sign off for now,

Mood: worn out

Well hubby and I set out many hours ago looking for a new dining room table as the one we currently have is a bit too large for the space we have. We must have gone to 8 different stores in all and while we liked several, again most of them are just too big for our area. Perhaps we should just wait and see if we are going to stay here beyond a year or if we are able to buy a home next year and then get a set we really want. Delayed gratification is so hard sometimes, lol.

We did buy a new computer desk for me with more back support since I have so many back issues. Hubby will use the one I currently use as it is a better fit for him anyways. I have to use a pillow behind me because it sits back so far.

Finally we finished our day up at a local restaurant with honey barbeque wings as an appetizer and then we split a meal of fish and shrimp. All in all it was a nice day out minus the awful traffic everywhere we traveled. The 'snow birds' have arrived here and our traffic is doubled in comparison to what it normally is . A bunch of people on the road who don't quite know where they are going, lol.
