Owen Wilson attempted suicide

Well some information is starting to surface about Owen Wilson's recent suicide attempt. Besides dealing with depression over a recent breakup with Kate and her new relationship, Owen has been dealing with a drug addiction to cocaine and heroin for over 10 years. 7 years ago he entered a rehab center for his addiction problem but sources say that that is a lifelong addiction that would need ongoing counseling in order to control it and that hasn't been the case.

One would for his sake that perhaps this very low point in his life might end up being a turning point for him and he can decide to take back control of his life and enjoy it without the use of drugs.

Elvis died 30 years ago today

by: Buttercup2   Category: Celebrity Gossip   Keywords: Elvis, King, pop, memory

http://www.kfadvertising.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html It really seems impossible to think that Elvis has been dead 30 years ago today. I'll never forget that day for sure as my entire family were his fans. My friend called me at work and just said, "they just found Elvis dead." Well shock spread throughout the building and tears were flowing everywhere.

He was the King of Rock and Roll and for many of us, he will always be.

In memory of Elvis,

What will JK Rowling being writing about after Potter?

by: Buttercup2   Category: Celebrity Gossip   Keywords: JK, Rowling, Potter

"Rowling plans post-Potter workRowling plans post-Potter work
Harry Potter author JK Rowling has said it would "feel wrong" to create another fantasy universe in her future literary works.

The phenomenally successful multimillionaire has been at the centre of attention since the final book in her septology, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, was published to critical acclaim last Saturday."

I am sure this is sad news to many of Ms. Rowling's fans as she has kept them enthralled with her Potter series. As creative as she is as a writer, I am sure she will create something else to keep her popularity alive and well. Until then, everyone awaits, Ms. Rowling, but no pressure!!! Happy

Britney in need of dire help

by: Buttercup2   Category: Celebrity Gossip   Keywords: Britney, Spears, photo, shoot, OK, out, control

Well it seems that lately the Hollywood celebs that everyone was in love with, and I'm sure some are still in love with, just can't keep themselves in line and out of trouble!

"A shocked crew, which had bent over backward to accommodate Britney's demands, packed up and left with nothing but sour memories of a young lady so eager to tell the world the truth about herself," OK! said.

Last month, tabloid media reported a "slapfest" between Spears and her mother Lynne, whom the singer had earlier attacked in a poem in apparent retaliation for being coerced into rehab earlier this year.

The editor-in-chief of OK!, Sarah Ivens, said in a statement the magazine had spent "a heartbreaking day with Britney Spears and witnessed first-hand an emotional cry for help that will leave you shocked and sad."

Before all their fans lose interest in her altogether she should start taking herself and her life a bit more seriously before no one is left around her to pick up the pieces! The money hungry whores in life might be there to feed off her wealth, but will standup managers and assistants want to waste their time on someone who seems hellbent on ruining her career, and perhaps theirs?

Britney????? I have no interest in your money or your status as a celebrity, but as an onlooker who sees a train derailing I can only say this to you.

' You have a chance to change things right now before things get any worse. If you get yourself together you just might end up liking yourself and who knows how bright your future might be?'

Lohan in trouble again

The troubled saga of Lindsay Lohan took another dangerous turn early Tuesday when police booked her on suspicion of drunken driving and cocaine possession after a frightened woman dialed 911 to report being chased by Lohan's SUV.

Less than two weeks out of rehab, with another drunken-driving case pending, Lohan had a blood-alcohol level of between 0.12 and 0.13 percent when police found her about 1:30 a.m., Sgt. Shane Talbot said.

So Lindsay has fallen into relapse yet again. Having lived through this problem with my sons this does not come as a big surprise to me. The insidious disease of drug addiction and or alcoholism takes a long hard road to recovery. The time spent in rehab and counseling can take many years to conquer and always with the threat of a relapse in the back of everyone's mind. Certainly that she is a celebrity adds extra pressure to her life but it also doesn't protect her from these illnesses.

I wish her luck in her recovery and pray that she does not injure herself and or others during this process.

Celebrity Taureans!

by: Buttercup2   Category: Celebrity Gossip   Keywords: Celebrities, Taureans, Gossip, link

Well since it is my birthday tomorrow I was interested in seeing which celebrities are also Taureans. I was amazed at the list and a few of the celebrities listed (including Streisand and Clooney) include a detailed description about them as well as some personal news!

Here's the link: http://astrology.yahoo.com/astrology/celebrities/bysign/taurus

My sister and aunt mentioned wanting to come up tomorrow but I am really not good company being laid up for so long and enduring so much pain. I'm suppose to let them know today and I just can't imagine company, no matter who it is, in this state. My house is a mess, I'm not much better and I think I would enjoy celebrating at a later date. Oh well, we'll see.

Have a good Saturday all,
Aly

24 Hours is sooo good!

by: Buttercup2   Category: Celebrity Gossip   Keywords: Keifer, Sutherland

Well hubby and I always settle in together before the tv promptly before 24 starts each Monday, lol. When the show goes on break we are in mourning for awhile. Next week I think Heroes starts up again so we will be taping one and watching the other show. The rest of the shows I don't really watch faithfully. Once in awhile we'll watch some Deal or No Deal and of course the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball games.

Well off to play a game of spades before sleeping.

Stay safe and say a prayer for all those young people killed today and especially for their families who must be in shock and terrible grief tonight.

Inside Man

by: Buttercup2   Category: Celebrity Gossip   Keywords: Inside, Man, Denzel, Washington, Jodie, Foster

This movie is not your usual bank robbery suspense movie. It has an added 'smartness' built into the storyline that we enjoyed. Overall I think we all rated it a B or B+ for a Friday night movie at home with our feet up. Only thing missing was the popcorn, lol.

Emmy news!

by: Buttercup2   Category: Celebrity Gossip   Keywords: EMMY, Sunday

"As preparations get underway for this weekend's Emmy Awards in LA, experts have been predicting who'll walk away with the top prizes.

Brian Lowry, chief film critic for the Daily Variety, tipped Keifer Sutherland for the Lead Actor in a Drama Series award, thanks to poor contenders in the category.

He said: "You had some people who found there way into the category, who normally wouldn't," such as "Law and Order: SVU"'s Christopher Meloni."

As for best Drama Series, Lowry gave it to Grey's Anatomy although he reckons Lost, which wasn't nominated, would have been the better option.

"(It's) the one really glaring aspect of that category," he explained. "It won the year before and I thought it had a terrific second season. It's a very strong show."

According to Lowry, things didn't line up with the comedy contenders either, with two stars in cancelled series earning nominations for Lead Actress.

However, things were brighter in the Best Comedy category where he predicted a win for The Office.

He said: "It was a show that people wanted to dismiss as an American version of a British show, and, instead, it really blossomed into one of the great shows on television."

The 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards airs in the US on Sunday 27 August on NBC."

[ Woo hoo, I will be one happy camper if Keifer gets the award! Maybe because that's the ONLY show I watch every week without fail, lol }

Tom Cruise - Is he losing popularity with his fans?

by: Buttercup2   Category: Celebrity Gossip   Keywords: Tom, Cruise, Katie, Holmes, popularity, polls

Paramount Pictures has severed its 14-year-old ties to Tom Cruise's production company because of his off-screen behavior, the chairman of the studio's parent company said on Wednesday in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.

The report signaled the end of one of the most lucrative production deals commanded by any A-list Hollywood star and followed other signs that Cruise's public stature had been damaged by his conduct during the past year.

Cruise's representatives and officials from Viacom and Paramount did not have any immediate comment on the report.

Days after his latest film, "Mission: Impossible III," opened to lower-than-expected domestic ticket sales in May, an opinion poll showed his star power in the eyes of the public had dimmed considerably.

And last month, the Los Angeles Times reported that Paramount Chairman Brad Grey had informed representatives for Cruise and his production partner, Paula Wagner, that the studio planned to slash the amount it spends on their company, Cruise/Wagner Productions.

Months ago, Grey was one of several movie industry executives who publicly rallied to Cruise's defense to insist that his status and popularity were undiminished.

They were reacting to a USA Today/Gallup poll in which half of those surveyed registered an "unfavorable" opinion of the actor. Many cited his off-screen behavior during the past year, including his outspoken defense of his religion, Scientology, and his blunt criticism of psychiatry and actress Brooke Shield's treatment for postpartum depression.

Cruise also became the butt of jokes for his manic, couch-hopping appearance on "The  Oprah Winfrey Show" last May to declare his love for actress Katie Holmes, who recently gave birth to Cruise's first biological child, a daughter they named Suri.

"As much as we like him personally, we thought it was wrong to renew his deal," Redstone was quoted as saying in the Wall Street Journal report e-mailed to reporters. "His recent conduct has not been acceptable to Paramount."

Well I will be interested to hear the other side of the story as well. While his behavior might be a bit eccentric, grin, he has entertained us all for many years and with good performances. His personal beliefs should be just that, personal. Unfortunately, for many reasons, they have become public and looked upon unfavorably. In the end, I don't think he has to worry about money after all his successes. Perhaps many people will learn from all of this controversy, and then again, maybe not, lol. Life is one big teaching session, never unending.

Osment faces pot, drunken driving charges

by: Buttercup2   Category: Celebrity Gossip   Keywords: Haley, Joel, Osment, pot, drunken, driving

Prosecutors on Thursday charged Oscar-nominated actor
Haley Joel Osment, who famously saw dead people in 1999 hit movie "The Sixth Sense," with drunken driving and marijuana possession.

Osment, 18, faces up to six months in jail if convicted on the charges that arose after a car crash in suburban Los Angeles on July 20.

The actor suffered a broken rib and shoulder injury and was briefly hospitalized.

Prosecutors charged Osment with misdemeanor possession of marijuana while driving and with having a blood alcohol level higher than 0.08 percent, including a special allegation of having a level higher than 0.15 percent, said Deputy District Attorney Ed Green.

A spokeswoman for the actor was not immediately available.

Osment is set to be arraigned on September 19.

The actor shot to fame with his role as a young boy who could see dead people haunting the real world in "Sixth Sense," which raked in $673 million at global box offices.

The role earned Osment an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor and made him a star. But since then, few of his movies have scored well with critics or at box office

What a shame.....
