Sorting and packing has begun
There is so much to remember before going away for two weeks. Not only all that you have to bring, but services to stop or notify and change, medicines to go, bills to take care, what goes in the carry ons, versus being packed, and clothes.. especially going to a different climate.
It is so nice here now its hard to go the unpredictable weather of New England. Having said all this, its also so wonderful to be going to see and visit with my sons and their families, most especially my granddaughter Haley. She's only 4 but so advanced for her age. Her physician had told them a year ago she was at least 1 year beyond her age in what she knows. I know she is quite the handful for her mom and dad, grin.
She is proof of what a lot personal attention from a Mom and Dad can bring to a chiild's development. She goes out for her play dates but has been primarily raised by either Mom and Dad or her other grandmother in CT. When I get back I'll post a new pic of her as i'm sure she's changed so much.
My other granddaughter Ashley called us last night. It was so cute. She was at a pajama party and they were all discussing their favorite people so she called me to tell me at 1130 her time, 830 my time. We are hoping to get her out here sometime this summer between vacations and moving somehow. Its her year to come and she's been calling me at least every other day. She's missing us. She's a real doll, and such a beautiful girl who is actually enjoying 6th grade :)
