Two horses

Mood: peaceful

Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it.

From a distance, each looks like every other horse. But if you stop your car, or are walking by,

you will notice something quite amazing.

Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him.

This alone is amazing.

If nearby and listening, you will hear the sound of a bell.
Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field.  Attached to her halter is a small bell.
It lets her blind friend know where she is, so he can follow her.

As you stand and watch these two friends, you'll see how she is always checking on him,

and that he will listen for her bell and then slowly walk to where she is, trusting that she will not lead him astray. When she returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, she stops occasionally and looks back, making sure her friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.

Like the owners of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect

or because we have problems or challenges.

He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need.

Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little ringing bell of those who God places in our lives.
Other times we are the guide horse, helping others see.

Good friends are like this. You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.

Please listen for my bell and I'll listen for yours.

Finally got to spend an evening with hubby

oh lala time. Grinning as I get to spend more time with him over the coming days. Although we have so much to do I am happy as long as he is by my side. I am so luckyyyyyyyyyyyy.

My brother is doing some better. The road to recovery with his arm will be a long one, but he is a fighter. I just pray that medicine they have him on prevents any more attacks for a good long while.

Little Nathan is in my heart and prayers as tomorrow he undergoes this very serious surgery. When he first learned he had a heart problem a few years ago, his grandmother was dying from cancer. He told her not to worry, grandma, God has given me 10 good years. Well now he is 12 and will be 13 in September. I believe God wants a person like him to stay with us to teach us all about the appreciation of life.

Have to talk to my Atty's asst today

about my SSD case pending. It makes me so nervous to do these things, answer some of these questions. I feel like a monkey under a microscope. They already have so much information on me from a previous case, and yet I have to suffer through this humiliating process all over again.

I slept from 3-6 am today and up since then. I will be so glad when this case is settled. I will also be so glad when we are moved.

Hubby did get 3 volunteers from work yesterday to help him with the move since I am not any help lifting or carrying. We are so thankful for that.

Have a good day folks...

Penis pump trial????

Former Judge Donald D. Thompson, a veteran of 23 years on the bench, is on trial on charges he used a penis pump on himself in the courtroom while sitting in judgment of others.

Over the past few days, the jurors have watched a defense attorney and a prosecutor pantomime masturbation. A doctor has lectured on the lengths the defendant was willing to go to enhance his sexual performance.

The white-handled sexual device sits before the jury box for hours at a time. Occasionally an attorney picks it up and squeezes the handle, demonstrating the "sh-sh" sound of air rushing through the contraption's plastic tubing.

The jurors sometimes exchange awkward looks and break into nervous laughter when the testimony takes a lurid turn.

Thompson, 59, is charged with four counts of indecent exposure, each punishable by up to 10 years in prison. If convicted, he would also have to register as a sex offender, and his $7,489.91-a-month pension would be in jeopardy.

Thompson's former court reporter, Lisa Foster, wiped away tears as she described tracing an unfamiliar "sh-sh" in the courtroom to her boss. She testified that between 2001 and 2003 she saw Thompson expose himself at least 15 times.

"I was really shocked and I was kind of scared because it was so bizarre," said Foster.

She testified that during a trial in 2002, she heard the pump during the emotional testimony of a murdered toddler's grandfather.

The grandfather "was getting real teary-eyed, and the judge was up there pumping on that pump," she said. "It was sickening."

Give me a frikken break here, I simply can't believe that someone in his position would be allowed to go on doing this behavior and not have been on trial way before this!!! What the hell is going on??

I have ZERO tolerance for this kind of offender. I guess it shows.

Asking for prayers for a young relative of mine

He will be undergoing a very dangerous surgery on Friday at the Boston Children's Hospital to try and alleviate pressure on his heart. The surgery is very serious and dangerous and he is only 12 years old. I would ask that you would hold Nathan in your prayers until after this surgery is done on Friday.

Thank you all,

May we all find moments of serene bliss.

I didn't realize that I couldn't put all of that in one entry

and I'm sorry I didn't notice that while I was posting that.

I am glad you enjoyed some of the posts yesterday, including the funny ones, grin, and the gorgeous picture.

I also want to thank you all for your warm-hearted thoughts and expressions regarding my health. I did sleep for 4 hours last night and I didn't wake up in such agonizing pain today, so perhaps today will be a better day and I can get more packing done.

Reaching out to others is a necessity in todays world of isolation that seems to becoming more the norm, then it ever use to be.

Any thoughts as to why this is happening here in the US that you would like to share?

Satan's sister

People were in their pews talking at church. Suddenly, Satan appeared at the altar. Everyone started screaming and running for the entrance, trampling each other in a frantic effort to get away from evil Incarnate.

Soon everyone had exited the church except for one elderly gentleman who sat calmly in his pew without moving, seeming oblivious to the fact that God's ultimate enemy was in his presence. So Satan walked up to the old man and said, "Don't you know who I am?"

The man replied, "Yep, sure do."

"Aren't you afraid of me?" Satan asked.

"Nope, sure ain't," said the man.

"Don't you realize I can kill with a word?" asked Satan. "Don't doubt it for a minute," returned the old man, in an even tone. "Did you know that I could cause you profound horrifying, AGONY for all eternity?" persisted Satan. "Yep" was the calm reply.

"And you're still not afraid?" asked Satan.

"Nope," said the old man.

More than a little perturbed, Satan asked, "Well, why aren't you afraid of me?"

The man calmly replied, "Been married to your sister for 44 years."

My Dog Skippy

A woman goes to her boyfriend's parents' house for Christmas dinner.

This is to be her first time meeting the family and she is very nervous. They all sit down and begin eating a fine meal.

The woman is beginning to feel a little discomfort, thanks to her nervousness and the broccoli casserole. The gas pains are almost making her eyes water.  Left with no other choice, she decides to R relieve herself a bit and lets out a dainty fart.

It wasn't loud, but everyone at the table heard the poof.   Before she even had a chance to be embarrassed, her boyfriend's father looked over at the dog that had been snoozing under the woman's chair, and said in a rather stern voice, "Skippy!”

The woman thought, "This is great!" and a big smile came across her face. A couple of minutes later, she was beginning to feel the pain again.  This time, she didn't even hesitate. She let a much louder and longer rrrrrip.

The father again looked at the dog and yelled, "Dammit Skippy!" Once again the woman smiled and thought, "Yes!"  A few minutes later the woman had to let another rip. This time she didn't even think about it. She let a fart rip that rivaled a train whistle blowing.

Once again, the father looked at the dog with disgust and yelled, "Dammit Skippy, get away from her, before she shits on you!"
