Rental offer to stay where we are

LMBO here. They came back with an offer for us to stay here by offering to raise our rent by 235.00 dollars a month for the same apartment. I don't know what planet they are living on, but its not the same one as we are.

We are giving notice by the end of this day. I hate moving, but I'm not nuts!!!!!

Hubby has an important review with his Manager tomorrow

So I'm hoping that all goes well for him as he has a presentation to make that he has worked very hard to complete. He has the blessing from one of the IT men at the bank, so he is optimistic about the presentation.

He's not been feeling so great for the last couple of days so I hope he feels better in the morning as it will make a difference in how he presents it of course.

Giving our 60 day notice to vacate this complex tomorrow. We haven't yet found a place to live, so that is a bit scary to me, but has to be done.

Send us good wishes please :)

Hugs,
Aly

How do you have your answering machine set to answer?

Here are some wacky messages for your answering machine.

Answering Machine Message
Hi! John's answering machine is broken. This is his refrigerator. Please speak very slowly, and I'll stick your message to myself with one of these magnets.

Answering Machine Message
"Hi. Now you say something." You have reached 999-9999. We picked this machine up at a garage sale in "as-is" condition. You can try to leave a message on it, but we are not sure it will be recorded. If we don't return your call, it means the machine did not work.

Answering Machine Message
Hello. I'm David's answering machine. What are you?

Answering Machine Message
Hi, this is John's answering machine. He's not here, but I'm open to suggestions.

Answering Machine Message
Hello, this is Ron's toaster. Ron's new answering machine is in the shop for repairs, so please leave your message when the toast is done...
(Cachunk!)

Answering Machine Message
Hello, this is Sally's microwave. Her answering machine just eloped with her tape deck, so I'm stuck taking her calls. Say, if you want anything cooked while you leave your message, just hold it up to the phone.

Answering Machine Message
This is Judy Cassidy's answering machine. Please leave your name and number, and after I've doctored the tape, your message will implicate you in a federal crime and be brought to the attention of the FBI.

Answering Machine Message
Hello. I'm home right now but cannot find the phone. Please leave a message and I will call you up as soon as I find it.

Answering Machine Message
I can't come to the phone now because I have amnesia and I feel stupid talking to people I don't remember. I'd appreciate it if you could help me out by leaving my name and telling me something about myself. Thanks.

Answering Machine Message
I can't come to the phone right now because I'm down in the basement printing up a fresh new batch of twenty dollar bills. If you need any money, or if you just want to check out my handiwork, please leave your name, number, and how much cash you need after the tone. If you're from the Department of the Treasury, please ignore this message.

Answering Machine Message
Hi. I'm probably here, I'm just avoiding someone I don't like. Leave me a message, and if I don't call back, it's you.

Daily cosmic news

By Mark Lerner for Astrology.com - If you feel yourself to be in a holding pattern, there are numerous cosmic reasons. Certainly, a big cause for recent stress and strain is the lingering presence of Mars and Juno together in late Cancer. Unfortunately, they will remain close for several more days. Take the advice offered in the Cosmic Calendar to heart and be a peacemaker in affairs of the heart rather than a provocateur. This will be especially true tonight as the Moon in Cancer conjuncts Juno (9:18PM PDT) and Mars (9:43PM PDT). Meanwhile, Venus in Taurus moves 90 degrees to Vesta in Leo (7:15AM PDT). Pushing your investment agenda without adequate forethought can backfire. Slow down your pace when it comes to money matters and tangible assets. Inspirations regarding finances and love pour in later on when Venus moves 72 degrees to its higher octave, Neptune (6:41PM PDT). Healing currents are also on the rise due to a flowing Sun-Chiron trine in air signs (9:54PM PDT). Get on the meditation, yoga and spiritual studies bandwagon if you haven't already joined that higher mental expedition. Note that a void lunar cycle begins during the Moon's union with the red planet (9:43PM PDT) and this twilight zone lasts until 1:53AM PDT tomorrow morning when the Moon enters Leo. Be ready for a few shocks to the system on Wednesday as Pluto pummels Jupiter and Mercury.

Any people among the viewers into astrology? I do find it interesting!

Have a great evening everyone.

Hugs,
Aly

Ben Affleck suffers from Migraines, goes to hospital

BEN AFFLECK was taken to a Cambridge, Massachusetts hospital Monday after suffering a migraine.

"Ben Affleck was treated for a migraine at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts today. He was released this afternoon, and is recuperating at home," said Affleck's rep, who declined to give further details, saying only, "He's okay."

The actor's wife, "Alias" star JENNIFER GARNER, reportedly drove her husband to the emergency room, where Affleck received treatment. He was subsequently released about two hours later.

Affleck, himself a Massachusetts native, is in Cambridge with Garner and their six-month-old daughter, VIOLET, while he works on his directorial debut, 'Gone, Baby, Gone.'

Gas prices are fueling RAGE

"Tempers are rising along with gas prices. Gas stations across the country report that drivers are taking out their gas rage against big oil by yelling at clerks and cashiers and sometimes driving off without paying.

"Everyone is suffering at the same time," said Sam Shirazie, a clerk at a Chevron station east of downtown Los Angeles. "If I could help to reduce that pain, I would."

No detailed statistics are kept on incidents of gas rage. But the National Association of Convenience Stores said anecdotal evidence indicates they have increased since prices began climbing in February.

Employees of Fleming Corp., which operates 14 gas stations in Kansas and Missouri, have heard everything from "just a mumble-grumble kind of thing to a cheap shot or blaming the clerk for world oil prices," owner Ed Roitz said."

What in the world comes over people in times like this? The clerks most likely are all make less money doing what they are doing for a living, and people who are buying the gas are taking their rage out on them? They have nothing to do with the price of gas!!!!

Complain to the people that can help make changes! That is not the clerk at the gas station. GET A GRIP PEOPLE, and take responsibility for what is happening in your world. Your rage being vented at a clerk will just land your butt in jail!

No tolerance for this kind of behavior towards innocent people.

Good day all, and try to be civil today :)
Hugs,
Aly

Entrepreneurial Spirit? I don't think this is what it is suppose to be at all~

"Earlier this year in separate incidents, two physical education teachers at Ernest Ward Middle School in Pensacola, Fla., were arrested and charged with bribery for allowing students to avoid gym classes by paying the teachers money. Tamara B. Tootle, 39, charged in April, allegedly gave students credits at $1 per student per class, and Terence Braxton, 28, arrested in February, pleaded guilty in May to a similar scheme, admitting to making at least $230. Don't search for these words on the internet...

Whatever you do, don't search the Internet for "free screensavers." 64 percent of the results you find after entering that term into a search engine will give your computer some type of virus. At least that's what Site Advisor claims. According to their research, these are the most dangerous search terms:

1.Free screensavers
2. Bearshare
3. Screensavers
4. Winmx
5. Limewire
6. Download Yahoo Messenger
7. Lime wire
8. Free ringtones.

A day of doing nothing

absolutely nothing at all so far. We slept in til 12:30, only answered one phone call, and no plans in particular.

Hubby feels like a day without people around so I'm trying to go along with that. For me, its a bit of a challenge, since 5 days a week I am just that.. all alone.

He needs it from working all week, I long for people and activity since I'm alone so much.

We'll see how the day progresses.

I know I've seen alot of Band of Brothers this weekend and I'm sure I'll see more, lol.

Hugs to all,
Aly

Looking forward to having some time alone with hubby

He needs some quiet down time after our weekend. That much socializing gets to him abit. He's use to our quiet little life. He enjoys playing cards, but, he was the only male in the house, lol.

Have to let him re-energize.

Have a good day all,

Hugs and Peace,
Aly
