Beefy Or Peachy

What would you do?

What would you do if every time you wanted someone they would never be there?

What would you do if for every moment you were truly happy there would be 10 moments of sadness?

What would you do if your best friend died tomorrow and you never got to tell them how you felt?

So, I just wanted to say, even if I never talk to you again in my life, you are special to me and you have made a difference in my life.

I look up to you, respect you, and truly cherish you.

Send this to all your friends, no matter how often you talk, or how close you are, and send it to the person who sent it to you

Let old friends know you haven't forgotten them, and tell new friends you never will.

Remember, everyone needs a friend; someday you might feel like you have
NO FRIENDS at all, just remember this e-mail and take comfort in knowing somebody out there cares about you and always will.

In times of trouble,
In times of need,
If you are feeling
SAD,
You can count on me.
I will give you a wink,
Until you smile,
Give you a hug,
And stand by your side.
I'll be there for you till the end,

I'll always and forever, be your friend!

Teri Hatcher and Ryan Seacrest romance?

Is "Desperate Housewives" star TERI HATCHER making sweet music with "American Idol" host RYAN SEACREST?

In the new issue of US Weekly, on newsstands Friday, the magazine reports that the two may be romantically involved after the couple was spotted being very affectionate toward one another at a Malibu, CA, restaurant last weekend.

While pictures in the glossy show the couple kissing and an eyewitness says that Hatcher gave Seacrest a neck massage during lunch, "it's not super-serious," a source tells US. "They're not on the road to marriage or anything." In fact, another source claims that Hatcher hasn't even talked about Seacrest with her 8-year-old daughter, EMERSON.

"They're taking it slow," says a source.

Idol contestants who have survived thus far

"Now that young'un Lisa Tucker has left the show, the nine contestants left to lasso it out when Idol goes country next week are Ace Young, Bucky Covington, Chris Daughtry, Elliott Yamin, Katharine McPhee, Kellie Pickler (who is VotefortheWorst.com's attraction of the week now that Kevin "Chicken Little" Covais is out of the picture), Mandisa, Paris Bennett and Taylor Hicks."

I did not get to see the show last night as hubby and I were watching the movie, "History of Violence." We both thought it was very well done but be prepared for the violence portrayed in this movie. The acting was great. Thumbs up!

Tagline: Everyone has something to hide. (more)

Plot Outline: A bloody self defense incident involving a mild mannered man brings his hidden past back to haunt him and his family.

Evacuees from Katrina are wearing out their welcome in Houston

Seven months after taking in about 200,000 Louisiana residents left homeless by Hurricane Katrina, Houstonians aren't feeling so hospitable anymore.

Many people in the nation's fourth-largest city complain that the influx has led to more murders and gang violence, long lines at health clinics and bus stops, and fights and greater overcrowding in the schools. Some of those claims are debatable, but the sentiment is real.

"We still feel sorry for them. We still want to help them, but it's to the point where enough is enough," said Torah Whitaker, 25, of Missouri City, a Houston suburb.

Randal McCloy Jr. released from hospital

"The sole survivor of the Sago Mine disaster thanked friends, family and strangers Thursday for their "thoughts and prayers" upon his release from the hospital almost three months after he was trapped underground in a mine filled with toxic fumes for more than 40 hours.

"I'd just like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers, and I think that's it," Randal McCloy Jr. said softly, wearing a Notre Dame ballcap and a NASCAR racing-team jacket.

His wife, Anna, who stayed with him throughout his recovery, added her own thanks. "Today is another part of our miracle," she said.

Doctors cannot explain why McCloy, 26, survived while 12 other men died."

Kidman will star in new spy movie

"Nicole Kidman will star in and produce an untitled spy thriller described as a female version of "The Bourne Identity"

Screenwriter Simon Kinberg's project, whose plot details are being kept under wraps, was pre-emptively picked up by Regency Enterprises and 20th Century Fox, the firms behind Kinberg's "Mr. & Mrs. Smith."

Kidman originally was attached to co-star in that film alongside Brad Pitt. She dropped out because of scheduling conflicts, paving the way for Angelina Jolie to join the cast and ignite a well publicized romance."

Smart Kids

"Very smart children may seem advanced in many ways, but a new study shows they actually lag behind other kids in development of the "thinking" part of the brain.

The brain's outer mantle, or cortex, gets thicker and then thins during childhood and the teen years. The study found that in kids with superior intelligence, the cortex reaches its thickest stage a few years later than in other children.

Nobody knows what causes that or how it relates to superior intelligence. But researchers said the finding does not rule out a role for environment — such as intellectual stimulation — in affecting a child's level of intelligence.

In fact, the delay may promote higher intelligence because it means a child is older, and processing more complex experiences, while the cortex is building up, said study co-author Dr. Judith Rapoport.

Rapoport, with researcher Dr. Philip Shaw and others at the National Institute of Mental Health in Bethesda, Md., followed development of the cortex in 307 children. They used repeated magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans from childhood to the latter teens."

Interesting news. Will have to share this info with genius hubby, smile!

Lewis the Cat under House Arrest

""He looks like Felix the Cat and has six toes on each foot, each with a long claw," Janet Kettman, a neighbor said Monday. "They are formidable weapons."

The neighbors said those weapons, along with catlike stealth, have allowed Lewis to attack at least a half dozen people and ambush the Avon lady as she was getting out of her car.

Some of those who were bitten and scratched ended up seeking treatment at area hospitals."

Well our Jordan has much better manners then Lewis, I can tell you that much!!! Grin

Took a 20 minute power nap earlier by mistake, lol

I was trying to watch the new Wallace and Gromit movie with hubby but I made the mistake of laying down on the futon and fell asleep during the last 20 minutes of the movie.

Now I'm awake and trying to tire myself out, lol.

He likes those movies. One of them was ok, but its not my cup of tea. Its ok, he's a nerd, a genius, and so damned witty and loving, that I forgive him his nerdiness, grin :)

More human remains found near WTC site

"Construction workers cleaning toxic waste from a vacant skyscraper near the World Trade Center site have found more bone fragments and human remains, officials said Tuesday."

The new remains were found in recent weeks by crews doing a more thorough cleaning before construction workers begin dismantling the building in June, said John Gallagher, spokesman for the Lower Manhattan Development Corp.

Some victims' family members said forensic experts should search the 41-story building again."

Anyway

Mood: thanks, Tee :)

People are unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered.
- Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
- Do it anyway.

If you’re successful, you win false friends & true enemies.
- Succeed anyway.

The good will you will do will be forgotten tomorrow.
- Do Good Anyway.

Honesty & frankness will make you vulnerable.
- Be honest & frank anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
- Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack you if you help them.
- Help anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.
- Give the world the best you’ve got anyway!

How would you feel about a nudist resort moving into your community?

"Some residents near the small eastern Missouri town Lonedell are upset about plans for a resort -- a nudist resort.

Lawrence Enterprises Inc. of High Ridge is seeking a permit for an RV park and campground along with the private nudist resort on 52 acres near Lonedell, about 50 miles southwest of St. Louis. Details will be discussed Tuesday at a meeting of the Franklin County Planning and Zoning Commission.

Company president Lawrence Schulz said in a letter to the commission that in addition to RV sites, plans call for campsites, motel rooms, lease lots and permanent sites. Year-round facilities will include an indoor pool and hot tub, outdoor pool and a clubhouse.

Several people whose property adjoins the site have organized a petition drive to halt the resort. Some are worried about how it will impact the value of their properties.

"I wouldn't have bought property across from a nudist colony," said Stephanie York. "Everybody out here is very upset about this."

In his letter to the commission, Schulz said "clothing optional" resorts are a popular trend in Europe and elsewhere in the United States."

I'm sure this causes great trepidation for many families and homeowners in this area. How would you feel about this?
