Lazy day yesterday

I spent the day just relaxing and did almost nothing for a change. Then after a few games of spades I devoted myself to my hubby :)

I am so tired of wasting time with all the errors here lately, it has taken the steam out of me wanting to post. If the problem doesn't get better I guess I will have to find a new blogging home. Sighing, but I'll give it one more week, then I'm starting my search.

Peace and Hugs,
Aly

ps I hope you all had a decent and safe weekend :)

Hubby and I switched computers tonight

I am so exhausted. My computer has the AGP card for his video games which I don't have or use, so we had to burn and transfer all the files  and programs from one to another. I am seeing double at this point and won't know until tomorrow if everything is working ok.

Hopefully this will make him happy. He does so much for me :)

Hugs,
Aly

A busy day planned

Dental and chiroptactic appts, oh boy! Hope to fit in  some fun time with hubby sometime during the day, grin.

I know we all lead busy lives, but it sure would be nice if some people would come out of their shells abit and add their thoughts and feelings on some subjects. I hate talking to myself. I need feedback, and connection.

Throw me a bone here folks... lol

Have a good Friday~

Why are people leaving Blogigo?

Things have changed around here lately and I'm wondering what the major reason is, besides just personal ones?

Anyone care to elaborate?

ANGELINA COLLAPSES!

"Just days after announcing that she's expecting Brad Pitt's baby, Angelina Jolie — in the Dominican Republic finishing filming The Good Shepherd — collapsed and gashed her head, a source tells Star. A Dominican news report added that she had seemed ill the day she arrived (Tuesday, Jan. 10), and a local reporter told Star Jolie seemed sick the next day, as well. The turn of events left Pitt frantic! "Brad's worried sick about her," says the a source. "She's looking really frail and she's pale and gaunt. I heard her doctor has put her on a high-risk pregnancy alert and Brad has been trying to persuade her to go on bed rest, but she won't hear any of it."

Dreams

* You see things and say, 'Why?", but I dream things and say, 'Why not?
George Bernard Shaw

* Keep your heart open to dreams. For as long as there's a dream, there is hope, and as long as there is hope, there is joy in living.

* We grow great by dreams. All big men are dreamers. They see things in the soft haze of a spring day or in the red fire of a long winter's evening. Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true.
Woodrow Wilson

* We should show life neither as it is or as it it ought to be, but only as we see it in our dreams.

More men are letting their hair go natural

and we women don't mind it at all, lol. Most women find Richard Gere and George Clooney just as good looking with their salt and pepper look then if they were dying it black or brown.

Now don't be thinking this is going to be a trend for us women, uh uh. Not this chickadee, grin~

Vermont judge imposes 3-10 year sentence for sex offender

Judge Edward Cashman, under fire for sentencing a man to 60 days in prison for sexually abusing a child, imposed a jail term Thursday of three to 10 years.

The judge said he could now impose the longer sentence because the state has agreed to provide treatment to Mark Hulett while he is behind bars. Originally the state had said such treatment would not come until Hulett was released.

In the two weeks since the original sentence Cashman has been vilified by television commentators, bloggers and even the governor who say he was too light on the crime.

Hulett, 34, had pleaded guilty to charges that he had sexual contact with a girl during a four-year period beginning when she was 6.

At his original sentencing, Cashman said the best way to ensure public safety was to get Hulett out of prison so he could receive sex offender treatment. Because the Corrections Department concluded that Hulett wasn't likely to reoffend, he wouldn't be eligible to receive sex-offender treatment until he reached the end of his jail term.

Why do spammers feel entitled to leave their hype in our guestbooks?

I am formally filing a complaint with Blogigo because I'm sick of wasting my time every day to detele their entries in the guestbook. Instead I wish the people who visit here would just say hi, and offer some feedback as to what they like, or dislike.

Anyways, I'm going to see if admin can help me out here.

Parents need to beware of online gamers who are sexual predators

Too many kids are befriended by online gamers who are sexual predators by those either using X- Box or some other video game. Its up to the parents to keep their eyes open and beware of who their kids are talking to with headsets online.

Regarding current poll question...

Mood: sigh

"If you or officials in your administration believe that FISA, or any law, does not give you enough authority to combat terrorism, you should propose changes in the law to Congress," wrote Sens. Harry Reid, Edward Kennedy, Richard Durbin and Russ Feingold. "You may not simply disregard the law."

Just watched 'Cinderella Man'

While I'm sure more men will appreciate this movie overall, there was an appeal to this movie for women as well. Jim was the fighter, but his wife and children provided the will for him to fight and give it his all every time he entered the ring.

He had that hero quality that all people fall for and look up to. All in all it was a good Wednesday night movie curled up with hubby to watch.

Two thumbs up.  Of course graphic violence was part of this movie, so be ready to hold your breath now and then!

Recent study shows sex calms nerves before public speaking

Mood: Is this really new news, lol?

Forget pretending you are talking to one person or concentrating on a single point in the audience -- having sex is good way to calm nerves before giving a speech or presentation.

But Stuart Brody, a psychologist at the University of Paisley in Scotland, said it has to be full sexual intercourse to get the best results.

He studied nearly 50 men and women who recorded their sexual activities for two weeks and analyzed its impact on their blood pressure levels when under acute stress, such as when giving a speech.
