Having one of my insomniac nights..

Mood: frustrated a tad

So instead of getting to bed early as we have a shopping spree planned, here I sit, still wide awake at 2:30 am, sigh. This will certainly put a damper on getting up early and out the door.

Oh well, no use in making things worse. Just have to deal with it the best we can, and see what the day brings.

So maybe I'll try a game of canasta and then try sleeping again. Wish me luck :)

Braving the real world shopping tomorrow

Not for too long, but for a little while to get wrapping paper and bags and tags.. etc.

Also to just look at the decorations :) My friend has the week off so we get to go shopping, have lunch, and maybe take in a 'chick flick.'

Have to check around town to see what special events we might be able to attend between now and Christmas. I do so love this time of year. However, I do also know for some, its a very hard time of year with depression. My heart goes out to you in prayer that your heavy hearts might be lifted, and replaced with some cheer.

Oh Mercy~

I am perplexed as to what to do with the colors and I'm in one of those 'woman' modes where I can't make up my mind no matter what I do, lol!

Wishing you all a very good week. Try not to overstress with the upcoming Holidays. Things will get done. If lists help you, perhaps thats one way to eliminate some stress!

It is very satisifying to cross things to do off a list and to see your accomplishments grow while your things to do lessen.

Smile whenever possible - it also releases stress and tension.

Its hard to have hubby go back to work

He's been home with me for 4 whole days now, and I quickly get use to him being here. When I need a cuddle, he's right here. I don't have to wait for  hours for him to get home hours later.

We got to go to our church this morning and that was so wonderful. Now that he's working Sundays we haven't been able to go for months. It was soooooooooo good to see everyone. We will get to go again for the Christmas Eve service and Christmas and New Years :).

I didn't eat too many sweets this weekend, but I did manage to eat too much food because I couldn't exercise either... grrrrr.

This week I'll have to be extra careful.

Decorated our tree today :)

with that special little girl helping us and that was truly special. Also added touches around the house to remind us of the holiday spirit. One more gift purchased online and sent via free shipping, and just about done for shopping.

Hubby is next... only have one thing for him so far, but have to come up with his special gift, lots of meaning, not lots of dollars.

Only bummer today is an infected tooth that would not calm down even with the penicillin, antiinflammatory and pain pill.. sigh. My dentist is away so I just have to deal with it and pray it calms down.

Tis the season

Mood: smiling

with our friends help, the tree is up, but not yet decorated. That process will start tomorrow with the help of a sweet 3 1/2 yo girl we dearly love :)

We played spades, watched some tv, and assembled the tree! Nice nite. The nice thing about this tree is the lights are already on it.. yeah, so we just have to add the ornaments. I'm sure with her help it will be a pure delight.

Of course Jordan (our cat) is already misbehaving so the squirt gun will be out, lol. He just can't help himself.

Scumpdillyicious was dinner.. and now leftovers

Not sure which I like more.. lol.

However, since most of my family is back in CT, it was a quiet day for us. Hubby has very little contact with his family due to me being in his life, so our circle is small. We are hoping to expand it by volunteering some time when we can to needy organizations.

Hope no one is out there over charging their charge cards. It comes back to haunt you.
