How do you make a menace disappear in a chat room?

by: Buttercup2   Category: Pogo Games   Keywords: Pogo, games, room, menace, liar, fraud

Well one of the game rooms that I play in in Pogo is being plagued by a room menace who is not only making up outright lies to get everyone's attention, but has used all of us in the process by making up a near death experience so that we would all be woven in his web.

I can tell you I for one am very angry by this. Many of us lost sleep, cried and prayed for this person when we first heard he/she nearly died. However, within a few days time he/she had a miraculous recovery from a collapsed lung and he/she told us he/she went into cardiac arrest twice as well. Interesting that within a few days time he/she could type some in our room and that suddenly his/her private nurse was typing to us night and day from his/her cardiac room from a laptop.

Quite a few people in this room are not well people and they also lost sleep, prayed, cried and were totally drawn into this web of lies. No one wants to 'ruin' the room and some are still swallowing this story, hook, line and sinker. What is the next step? Many of us are watching to catch him/her in a slip up but I must say this person is quite clever. This room needs peace and sanity to return and we need help in exposing this person for what he/she is ... a fraud preying on many people.

If you have experienced something similar and have had good results in a room you visit often where something like this has happened, please be willing to share what steps were taken to rid this person's interest in a room.

Thank you kindly.

Sorry for the lack of posting

by: Buttercup2   Category: Health   Keywords: sick, digestion, CRAMPS, fatigue, endoscopy

Well I have been feeling so poorly lately that I just haven't felt like posting. I think of it almost everyday but then when I get to it I'm feeling tired and then, uninspired to do anything but take a nap.

I saw a specialist today and I'm scheduled to have an endoscopy done in a few weeks to see if my reflux is worse and to biopsy my stomach. I must admit I am quite worried because my fatigue level has been very bad.

I hope things are going well for you folks, and I'll try to post again soon.

Hugs,
Aly

Is it ever possible for a woman to keep something to herself?

by: Buttercup2   Category: Personal Relationships   Keywords: women, confidence, secrets, Gossip

I struggled and struggled with information I knew about someone and whether or not to share it with someone I thought might get hurt. I decided for over a month to keep that information a secret. The more I could see this other person getting involved with someone who had hurt another woman in a longterm relationship, I found I had to tell the woman something. I just told her to be careful. Well even that found its way back to the man from a woman who promised not to say anything and from the woman I was trying to give a heads up on regarding this man.

Shaking my head here... as I should know by now that I should have just let whatever was going to happen, happen. I can't fix anything and I should know that by now. Now its all going to be a big mess with me in the middle and I was just trying to save a woman some heartache. Silly me.

The Kitten and the Papa Cat

by: Buttercup2   Category: Pets   Keywords: Kitty, cat, roles, playtime, bathtime, laughter

Well we have only had our kitten Smoochie for about 5 weeks now and watching the developing relationship between he and our 6 yo cat Jordan has been quite interesting and almost always entertaining.

From the first 5 days after we first brought Smoochie home.. all 1 3/4 lbs of him we feared Jordan might do him harm since he has been king of the house for so long. The first 5 days we kept them separated and gave them each their own space to get use to the change. Any time they spent together was supervised for Smoochie's safety since Jordan is about a 20 lb cat.

Well we got thru that and then allowed longer and longer periods of time when they could get use to each other. Soon the little one, Smoochie, wanted to play and so began the process of them becoming friends. After the friend stage we noticed Jordan leaving some of his food for him which use to be the highlight of his day. Then we noticed Jordan started to hold him down and bathe him. Smoochie puts up a feeble attempt to stop him and they usually end up playing. The latest thing we've noticed is Smoochie trying to bathe Jordan, lol, and that is just precious.

Well until next time.. grateful for the fun-filled time with the kitty and his adopted Papa.. smile.

by: Buttercup2   Category: Health   Keywords: Nauseous, bad, Taste, mouth, tired, ever, day, digestion, off

Well I just having been feeling very well for several weeks again so I just haven't been feeling very upbeat about posting. I wish I felt creative so I could get back to posting on a regular basis. Hopefully soon. I am going to either go to the ER or insist my dr run more tests or go get a second opinion. I can't keep letting this get the best of me.

I hope folks have been doing well during my absence here.

May God Grace us all with better health and Peace,

Owen Wilson attempted suicide

Well some information is starting to surface about Owen Wilson's recent suicide attempt. Besides dealing with depression over a recent breakup with Kate and her new relationship, Owen has been dealing with a drug addiction to cocaine and heroin for over 10 years. 7 years ago he entered a rehab center for his addiction problem but sources say that that is a lifelong addiction that would need ongoing counseling in order to control it and that hasn't been the case.

One would for his sake that perhaps this very low point in his life might end up being a turning point for him and he can decide to take back control of his life and enjoy it without the use of drugs.

I can't believe Bush is asking for $50 billion more for the war in Iraq

by: Buttercup2   Category: Latest News   Keywords: Bush, Iraq, billion, More, war, withdraw, troops

I think the American people have been making it abundantly clear how unhappy they are with continuing the war in Iraq. It is not just the citizens of the US but many of our leaders who also want us to start withdrawing our troops from Iraq.

Why in the world would we want to keep funding a war that it seems our President is hell bent on continuing? Our troops are over extended, we cannot settle the civil unrest in that country, and we need to start the process of withdrawing our troops and letting our nation heal. This insanity has gone on long enough.

This is my humble opinion. I wonder how many other US citizens and other people involved around the world feel the same way?

I've not been well for weeks

by: Buttercup2   Category: Health   Keywords: health, sick, weak, tired, fibromyalgia

I have felt so poorly for the past few weeks that I haven't even felt like posting here. Its not that I haven't thought of posting, or of the other bloggers here, because I have.

It is highly likely that part of my problem is my fibromyalgia syndrome playing a huge role in making me so fatigued every day. I have slept more in the past few weeks then I ever have period. So a visit back to my doctor prompted her to give me a hefty shot of antibiotics and a different prescription as well to try and help me on my path to wellness. I sure hope this works as I have been quite scared this time because I have needed so much sleep.

My son is coming to the valley this weekend and it will be good to see him again. I pray for strength and courage to get through this latest episode of infection and fibromalgia.

Peace to all,
Aly

Hurricane Dean poised for a direct hit

by: Buttercup2   Category: Weather   Keywords: Hurricane, Dean, Category, Jamaican, Islands, direct, hit

KINGSTON, Jamaica - Jamaicans headed inland and tourists fled the country hours before a large and powerful Hurricane Dean appeared poised to make a direct hit on the island Sunday after a deadly and destructive march across the eastern Caribbean.

Jamaica converted schools, churches and the indoor national sports arena into shelters and authorities urged people to take cover from a storm that could rake the country with winds of 150 mph and dump up to 20 inches of rain.

All the people in Hurricanes' Dean path need our prayers. Please take a moment to pray for your fellow man in the face of crisis.

J K Rowling, writing again

by: Buttercup2   Category: Latest News   Keywords: Rowling, writing, Crime, fiction, book

LONDON - J.K. Rowling has been spotted at cafes in Scotland working on a detective novel, a British newspaper reported Saturday.

Photo

"It is great that she has not abandoned writing or Edinburgh cafes," said Rankin, who is known for his own police novels set in the historic Scottish city.

Now she's Britain's richest woman — worth $1 billion, according to Forbes magazine — and her seven Potter books have sold more than 335 million copies worldwide.

"I'll do exactly what I did with Harry — I'll write what I really want to write," Rowling said.

Well it would be pretty amazing if Ms. Rowling could write another novel that could match her Harry Potter series but it is quite likely that whatever novel she writes, given her talent, will be an excellent read.

Are you all ready for the Hurricane season?

by: Buttercup2   Category: Weather   Keywords: Hurricane, weather, Category, Gulf, Mexico

Well after briefly scanning the news this morning everyone who needs to take Hurricanes into consideration need to be making necessary provisions to take care of themselves and be prepared for any danger coming their way.

With 125 mph winds, the first hurricane of the Atlantic season was expected to gain power over the warm waters of the Caribbean, hit Jamaica on Sunday and climb to Category 4 status before clipping Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. It was projected to steer into the Gulf of Mexico by Wednesday, threatening the U.S.-Mexico border area.

We have all witnessed the devastating effects of Katrina and they have still not completely recovered from it. So please, take precautions, and do what you must do, and listen to the weather predictions as they are expecting that this season will produce at least 3 Category 3 Hurricanes :(.

Elvis died 30 years ago today

by: Buttercup2   Category: Celebrity Gossip   Keywords: Elvis, King, pop, memory

http://www.kfadvertising.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html It really seems impossible to think that Elvis has been dead 30 years ago today. I'll never forget that day for sure as my entire family were his fans. My friend called me at work and just said, "they just found Elvis dead." Well shock spread throughout the building and tears were flowing everywhere.

He was the King of Rock and Roll and for many of us, he will always be.

In memory of Elvis,

Discussing Hell's Kitchen

by: Buttercup2   Category: Latest News   Keywords: hell, kitchen, Chef, Ramsay, Bonnie, rock, las, Vegas

Well since hubby is an avid cook we don't miss too many shows related to cooking. His other passion is any sci-fi show/movie that is on, but this is just about the show, Hell's Kitchen, and the final show.

We both watched it and thought it was very well done and we both agreed with Chef Ramsay's decision, in the end, to award Rock as the winner of the ultimate culinary prize -- the coveted title of Head Chef of a new fine Italian restaurant at the Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa in Las Vegas.

“Rock deserved to win Hell’s Kitchen because he’s a very confident cook and he has become a really good leader,” Chef says."

Do you agree with his choice of Rock over Bonnie?

Smoochie and Jordan

by: Buttercup2   Category: Pets   Keywords: kitten, older, cat, Training, lost, sleep

Well it certainly has not been boring around here with Smoochie and Jordan learning how to interact with one another and praying that their relationship calms down nicely soon. It appears that Jordan has taught him how to groom himself nicely now as well as taught him who is the boss of the house. Jordan still doesn't feel so comfortable to lay around the house like he did all sprawled out and showing us how safe he felt as now he never knows which body part is going to be pounced on by Smoochie and nipped at. I hope Smoochie learns to calm down with him soon so Jordan can go back to his more relaxed mode.

At night after Jordan has his wet food, we have to put Smoochie in the guest room or he is all over Jordan's food. As soon as Jordan is done he is meowing or beating at the door for the little one to come down so it seems as though he wants the little one to finish what he has left. Smoochie is only too happy to oblige him but oh my gosh his breath is horrid once he does and his little belly pooches out. He now waits at night for Jordan to get his wet food, lol.

Smoochie adores hubby so once he gets home from work hubby is often seen sitting on his shoulder either at the computer or while hubby is walking around the house, Smoochie is riding around on his shoulder. He also leaps from the bed to the back of hubby's computer chair and climbs up his back regardless of whether he still has a shirt on! Misc Twice he made it to the top of his head where he just sat down and watched whatever tv show he had on or video game he was playing. He offers us hours of entertainment and work, lol, and then he just gives out and sleeps wherever he is.

I think Jordan is taking the Papa roll and watches out for him besides playing with him. They can be seen scampering or flying around the house often when the mood strikes them. It seems to have helped Jordan get more exercise that is for sure!

Well I was laid up for a few days with a stomach bug but I do feel a little better today and for that I am grateful!

Enjoy the moments in your day,
Aly

Run, don't walk, to see the Bourne Ultimatum

by: Buttercup2   Category: Movies   Keywords: movies, Bourne, Ultimatum, action, packed, best

Well hubby and a friend of ours went to see the new Bourne movie, the Bourne Ultimatum this past week and what a movie it is! If you haven't seen it already, what are you waiting for??? It is the best Bourne movie yet. The action scenes are just fantastic and the story is superb!!!

We saw it on the biggest screen in AZ with the best Dolby sound as well and it just blew us all away. We are ready to go back and see it again, and I almost never see a movie twice, but this one, I will. It is not a movie for young children of course so viewer discretion is advised.

Have a safe and healthy weekend folks,
Aly
