B.B. King Concert @ House of Blues - Myrtle Beach May 7 2005

Mood: Pretty good..
Listening to: How Blue Can you Get?

Let's not mess around... the House of Blues has the market cornered on making sure you have a great experience at whatever concert you attend there.

We used the pass the line option which allows you in before general admission if you eat in the restaurant.  We waited in line for about an hour and a half and grabbed a couple of bar stools as we watched the hall fill up.

King's band came out and did two numbers to warm up the audience. You can tell all of these guys are among the best who ever held the instruments they hold in their hands.

When the Man came on stage, the place went wild. As he played, it was evident he was loving the give and take with the crowd.

I don't think there could have been any better performance ever given by any musician. We couldn't have had a better night watching a true craftsman.

One extra drop B.B. threw out was bringing his Marine grandson out on stage who recently returned from Iraq. B.B. also said he still has another grandson still over in The Sandbox.

Makes you wonder if The King of the Blues can have his grandchildren lean forward and serve, why don't we see other celebrities have their kids moving forward?
