January Jottings
January how fast you hit me! Just enjoying those few days of year end break and wow! you smashed into my thoughts and December just escaped your thundering entrance. I do not set goals or resolutions because like most, my failings scream at me all too soon. But I have high hopes, to use my time more wisely!! Take more family time, sharing meals - all twenty-one of us together. Give more praise to all my children for their just being ours. More hugs! Definitely less time devoted to work, I wish!! But the Everest of papers that always occupy my desk do not know of my inner plans to work less. The snowcapped paper pile grows at a stready pace and even though I chop away at the base, I seem to lack Hilary's skills and I certainly lack a Sherpa!!
January, only nine days in and we have had one birthday and one family luncheon. We are doing so well already!!
Great excitement with the arrival of another horse for the girls to work so the owner can feel more comfortable with him. It is not the horse that needs the work but rather, Terry, the owner. The horse, "My Doc" is a gorgeous biscuit colour with fabulous mane, looks like he has been to the hairdresser and had foils done! What a beauty and the girls have him being a thorough gentleman already. Only been here at our place a day. Thanks to Monty Roberts and his splendid horse sense! Also the fact that he shared his wonderful knowledge with the rest of us.
Considering that the worldly corruption is exploding like ever so many volcanic eruptions, there is still some good to be seen. Take the tiny droplets of rain that becomes a shower which gently waters and nourishes a rosebud and petunia. Then the colourful beauty opens before us allowing the escaping of the sweet perfume invading our senses and bringing such pleasure.
Must take that leisurely stroll through the rose gardens of the Book of Wisdom and become more worthy of the blessings!
