The idiot and the good comeback

hey guys im taking a day off my two week sabbatical to bring u the idiot who thinks video games are the root of all evil and the very smart and noble man who humiliated him! oringial entries return Jan. 10th

The idiot... notice his unfair generalization in bold.

Have never met young person or adult who sought out the more violent games as their games of choice to play that clearly didn't have personal issues worthy of professional analysis...choosing these types of games when so many other skill challenges are out there are sending an anti-social, hate and rage filled message to the world...not all players act on their feelings but all these players have issues that need to be addressed.

The smart and noble humiliator... notice his obvious but insightful observation in bold...

To suggest at all that video games/movies/magazines/tv shows/music/books cause anyone to act in a violent way is absolutely ludicrous and ignores the simple truth that people no longer take responsibility for their own actions.  How in the world could you blame a video game or video game maker when John Doe goes out and murders someone or commits some other violent act?  Violent people are going to commit violent crimes even if you take away all media forms that portray violent acts.  It's time to stop blaming inanimate objects for crimes and put the blame back on the people who commit them.

Today we learn that Bush CAN be wrong.

George W. Bush is a man. Not God. Not even close. He makes mistakes, lets face it, most of the time politicians spend their time saying nothing and people will blindly follow them no matter what. But many people that I know believe that he can do no wrong. I must disagree. Though Bush seems to be a godly man I cannot judge him, I dont know him personally, but we must remember that any person that recites scripture is not automatically a christian, even though he shows the signs we cant start calling him a great christian man without studying the rest of his life. I myself would have to say that he is a Christian but I have done my homework on the subject. There are very many things that Bush has done that I believe were very wrong but he has also done a few things that should be applauded. I think that we should have waited for more evidence that Saddam was going to blow us sky high before we went to Iraq, the evidence that we did have was shady at best and the Bush family vendetta against the man may have played a part in the descision to go to war, as of yet we have not found any evidence of WMDs. We mostly say we entered Iraq because of the tourture of his own people, and I must play devil's advocate here, this was not our territory and our own Vice-President seems to not care if WE tourture Saddam's people! Saddam was a evil man but we did NOT need to engage in another Vietnam, Who knows when we will be able to leave! Also, Even though many will tell you that the fault of the shoddy help of New Orleans was the governers, and yes he should shoulder some of the blame, George Bush is our president and his main job is to PROTECT our citizens. He should not expect that someone else is going to help; he should send help right away, I dont care if we do have a war in Iraq, THESE ARE OUR PEOPLE and we should protect them before we go on a wild goose chase for Osama and friends. Even if we had had enough people down there the extra people would have helped but, truth is someone down there screwed up and we didnt. So maybe the Governer was in the wrong, but so was Bush. I think that there is much room for improvement for this president and I encourage all Christians to first look at how the man will run this country before we look at his Religon.
