Jack has been captured! (10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.)

We have quite a problem,

As you know, we lost contact with Jack over 20 minutes ago. He "called back" but after the phone jam and the 20 minute delay I have become very suspicious. I think the terrorists have captured Jack because Derek, the kid that Chloe and Jack had with them was about to be shot when Jack set off an explosion that Chloe, Edgar, and I helped him orchestrate. You see, all of the terrorists have on bomb vests that can be remotely set off if one of them tries to back out. We gave Jack a way to blow the bomb from his cell and that kept Derek from being kill for a while, but he was still kneeling there and I think someone ratted out Jack from the inside. I keep thinking about the last thing that Jack said when he called us. He said "Im in a Flank 2 position, Repeat, I am in a Flank 2 position." There's something familiar about that position, it may have something to do with him being coerced into calling us to change our plan, but I know if I go to Bill with this he will just tell me to get back to work. Chloe and I have had to break some major protocol to get Jack to where he was, and get Spencer in on it too, so I hope everything goes well so we dont lose our jobs. Pretty much everything we did to help Jack was unauthorized, but we had to do it, we didnt have enough time to get authorization. Wait Lynn is running into the conference room with a transcript. Im going to see if I can figure out what's happening. Hold on. Flank 2 does mean that Jack has been captured! The task force is going for the original plan, I just hope Jack and the kid are ok. Well, we all have to get to work if this operation is going to run smoothly and Chloe needs some spec codes so Ill update you when I get the chance.

Chloe's safe but Jack's in trouble (9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.)

Hello,

Smith here. Things have started to get really tense around here, but we can breathe a sigh of relief now that we know Chloe is ok. Im also trying to get some sort of update on Tony, but I keep getting shafted, I guess Ill just have to hack into the cameras in the room. I'll bring you up to speed. Terrorists have taken over the Ontario airport in Southern California and have about sixty hostages. Luckily, Jack is inside the terminal. He hasnt given us his position yet, but he has sent us pictures of the terrorists and hostages from his vantage point, so it looks like he must be in the ventilation system. Chloe is heading the technical stuff around here and as of now I will be supervising her division. It seems like the terrorists have killed one hostage to show their power after they made a live statement. Judging from their accents, I would have to guess that they are Russian or from that area. Also, we are going through a leadership change from divison. I must say though, the new guy, Lynn, looks somewhat like a hobbit, and he has quite a history. Whenever he takes the reigns anywhere, the initial turnover rate is 20%. I cant say that I really like him too much, but I digress. So far Chloe and I have been working on keeping in touch with Jack so that we can give him schematics as well as information we get from the president. Hold on, oh lord why did this have to happen now! We just lost contact with Jack! Sounds like some sort of cell phone jammer. Listen, Ive got to go and work on getting this fixed. I'll give you an update as soon as I am able.

Things arent looking good for Jack (8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.)

Hello,

This is Brandon Smith again. Things are not looking very good here at CTU. We havent gotten an update on Tony yet, but the doctors are working furiously. I tried to get a video feed from the room Tony's being operated on in but I got a last minute assignment that I had to finish. I got a call from Chloe about a half hour ago; I havent told anyone yet but she needed some encryption codes that I, of course, gave her. I think she's accessing the CTU system remotely, she said something about having to help Jack and some kid named Derek but she also said that she couldnt talk long. So now my suspicions that Jack had come out of hiding are confirmed. I think that the assassination attempts are all related. Only President Palmer, Michelle, Tony, Chloe, and I knew that Jack was still alive. Tony and Michelle told Palmer, Chloe helped them with some sort of distraction I think and I turned off the cameras in the area to make sure that no one found out. That scares me because Im the only one who hasnt been targeted yet. Chloe told me on the phone that aobut an hour ago she had been targeted by the assassins but called Jack who helped her escape. She also told me that she was with Jack when he killed the man who shot President Palmer. Im really worried about her. Anyway, we gathered intel that the Russian President's helicopter was going to be targeted, but when the copter came in nothing happened. I think it was supposed to distract us from something else, but Im not sure what. Chloe was picked up just now by some of our agents at the scene where Palmer was shot, but Jack and that kid were nowhere to be found. They're bringing her in for questioning so that they can get to the bottom of what happened to her while she was dark. I can only suppose, at the moment, that Jack got away safely. I hope the rumor that has been spreading that Jack killed Palmer and Michelle is not true, I refuse to believe that Jack would try to kill his friends. I'll get back to you when I know more, but right now, Ive got to go back to work.

Something's gone terribly wrong (7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.)

Hello,

This is Brandon Smith at CTU Los Angeles. Many of you may not have heard about what I am about to tell you. Today Former President David Palmer was assassinated by a terrorist while he was visiting his brother and former chief of staff, Wayne Palmer. Palmer was shot through the neck and fatally wounded, but no one else in the building was attacked. The reason Tony cannot write this message is because he and his wife, Michelle Dessler-Almeida, were targeted with at their home. Details are sketchy but I believe that after I called Tony and Michelle about the assassination and asked for their help, (only they were still working at CTU during the previous attempts on Palmer's life) Michelle went to her car while Tony made a call. The car exploded, instantly killing Michelle. When Tony went to investigate he found his dead wife, when he went to try to help her, another explosion occoured. Tony is now in critical condition and is being worked on at a nearby medical facility. Before I tell you more, let me tell you some things that Tony may not have told you in his previous entry. After helping Jack fake his death, Tony and Michelle left CTU and remarried. They owned a buissness together in which they had much success. Up until now. All we can do is hope that Tony makes it through alright, hes the only one who would really know how to control this situation. Here at CTU we are doing our best to handle the situation, but one of our agents, Chloe O'Brien, (who I happen to think is pretty cute, but is probably sleeping with Spencer) has gone dark. (in other words she hasnt contacted anyone in quite some time.) Im really worried about whats going to happen today, I think that Jack has come out of hiding but no one else has really considered that possibility. One last thing, the President, Charles Logan, is supposed to meet with the Russian President at a summit today. We are now making sure that both of them are safe. I can assure you that nothing can go wrong, and now if you'll excuse me I have to get back to work.
