Ladies and Bingo

Do Ladies Play Bingo?

This is a question that I was posed very recently. I felt that the weight of the question was such that it could not be ignored or put off. So, I have decided to take a brief break in blog line and address this burning question. First, I would like to point out that the question has been purposely worded in a very careful manner. There are several possible questions hiding behind this innocent looking wording.

If a Woman Wrote the Question

If a woman wrote this question (which is a distinct possibility), then there are two possible intentions that I can imagine for such a question. The first is a simple and innocent query regarding the epidemiology of bingo players. If this is the intention than the wording "lady" could either be a general reference to all females in general or it could refer to a somewhat more respectable portion of the same group (hence ladies and not women or females). If that is the question, the answer is: Certainly. No one could possibly be more respectable than my esteemed wife (Really!) and she certainly plays bingo every once in a while - its a lot of fun! As for percentages - I really don't know. I suspect that the true division is probably about fifty fifty but it is probably very difficult to determine.

Another Possibility

Another possibility is that this question was written by a woman who was trying to assess my level of male chauvinism. In that case, the answer is that although there is a clear majority of male bingo players in most of the events that I participate in, there are certainly events where that is not the case (I simply am not there though - being male). This does not make me a MCP (Male Chauvinist Pig) in any way that I can imagine (or so my wife assures me). So, yes! Ladies certainly do play bingo and there are even bingo events and sites which are designed to cater specifically to the tastes of female players. Many of these are completely appropriate for ladies regardless of how respectable they deem themselves.

July Free Slots Tournament

Playing Bingo and Other Games

Although the primary subject of my blog is bingo and hence the blog name and content, we bingo players love all sorts of games. In fact, it would be interesting to hear what sorts of games different bingo players like (consider this an invitation to comment and state your preferences!). Of particular note are those games which are basically competitive gambling games and are thus of precisely the same genre as bingo.

Slots Tournaments

An excellent example of just such competitive gambling is what is known as a slots tournament. In a slots tournament everyone is playing slots games but only one will win the grand prize for being the consistently luckiest player. Such tournaments are lots of fun to join. This is especially true for the latest free slots tournament which is being hosted by All Slots Casino. The big thing here is that is it is absolutely free to get a chance at participating in the big tournament (all you have to do is sign up and start playing!). The free slots tournament makes its cash by letting people rejoin or qualify by paying and by the great promotional press that the free slots tournament generates. Since there are going to thousands and thousands of entrants but only a few winners and only one grand prize winner (the grand prize is listed as 100,000$!) the free slots tournament really resembles bingo very much. Unlike bingo though, the free slots tournament enjoys the advantage that participation is not merely waiting around for numbers to be called. Rather, participation involves playing lots and lots of fun and exciting slots games. This means that while the game play is somewhat more prolonged, the fun is also much longer too.

Not Giving Up On Bingo

Despite everything said, and despite the fact that I am certainly going to try my luck at the free slots tournament (after all, it is free!), I won't be abandoning bingo just yet.Bingo night is still something that I will not willingly forgo - its just too much fun!
